I had been uninstall and reinstall whatsapp many times , deleting the folder and restart the smartphone but whatsapp didn't show my contact in the list.
As for instant , Whatsapp search my Contact added at the phone and add the contact number into Whatsapp contact accessing their server but it doesn't.
Whatsapp cannot find any contact at all as if Whatsapp cannot search Phone Contact to add into whatsapp Contact.
Can I manually add or export the contact like to .xml or .vcf and let Whatapp to import those .xml or .vcf ? Something similar with Ms outlook ?

I am using fission 2.4.3 ROM and i like the way it looks and all but is there a way to edit the Facebook syncd contacts like the factory Global contact list settings? it says facebook contact information is no editable on this device... am i missing soemthing? before the root and rom i syncd my contacts and was able to add numbers, emails and drag them onto the home tabs for shortcuts..

Here is what you do, it will require having or making a Yahoo Mail account but it will solve your problem.
If you use Outlook (like I do) it will be way more complicated but only because you probably want to use Outlook as your master list.
Step One - Go to Yahoo mail and import your facebook contacts into your yahoo mail contacts. (they have a wizard that does this for you) Then export Yahoo Mail Contacts to a CSV file. (This will work for myspace and linkedIn as well!)
Step Two (Google) - Import that CSV file into Google contacts and have your phone sync if it doesn't automatically (sometimes it takes awhile to sync)
Step Three - Look in your phone contacts you will now see dupliacte contacts of all your facebook friends. One will be from Google and the other will be from facebook. Select the facebook contact and JOIN or LINK (depends on your rom) it to the other duplicate.
You will now be able to edit all the fields not filled in by Facebook and a have a single contact for that person. (If you look you will see in the contact which profiles are linked together. You will have one profile for each contact source that has been linked. (one for Google and one for Facebook)
If you have Fission running you need to go into EDIT contact before you will get the JOIN button in the menu.
I have found that it is best to do most of your editing in Google Mail and then syncing anything else (such as outlook) to that (I use Companion Link).
And while it is ok to add contacts into outlook and sync with Gmail it is better to check those contacts for correctness in Gmail.
If they are correct in Gmail they are correct on the phone. And should you ever have to factory wipe data you will be sure to get all your contacts back when you resign into GMail on your phone.
Hi Guys
A lot of times I receive new contacts (vcards) by whatsapp and mms. When I import them they are automaticly imported as local contacts which are not synced with my gmail online contacts. The only workaround so far is ex- and reimporting them.
Why can't the contact type be changed directly when editing the contact?

Hi, would like to know that too. Seems that only one group per contact is allowed!? (as for me: all contacts in group ""Contact")
i solved the problem.
go in your account at the pc.
there you can edit groups and add the contacs.
the handy will synchro the edited groups

Is there some way to copy facebook contacts to my live account? I ask this because apps like whatsapp do not have access to facebook contacts, so I would like to export all my facebook contacts to Windows Live to be able to message them using whatsapp.

If you add details to a contact (like a telephone number), the phone will automatically create a copy of the contact form Facebook on your Windows Live Account and then link these two together on your phone.
All contacts that have a telephone number should be accessable by WhatsApp, so I don't understand your problem. Do you have the telephone number of the people you want to contact via WhatsApp?
A lot of my Facebook contacts have a phone number but whatsapp only recognizes windows live contacts. If i select a Facebook contact from the "all" list whatsapp tells me its not able to fetch contact details from Facebook contacts.

I HAVE CARRIED OUT FOLLOWING
A) SYNC GOOGLE CONTACTS ( HAVING BIRTHDAYS) WITH MY NOTE10+
B) ENSURE THAT ALL THE CONTACTS ARE APPEARING IN THE CONTACTS LIST.
C) INSIDE CALENDAR, SEE ALL THE BIRTHDAYS OF CONTACTS APPEARING.
WHEN I CLICK ON A PARTICULAR BIRTHDAY OF A CONTACT INSIDE CALENDER..
IN THIS THE TEXT THAT IS WRITTEN AS " CONTACT" IS NOT CLICKABLE
I WANT THIS CLICKABLE ( SO I CAN CALL OR SMS DIRECTLY FROM WITHIN THE CALENDAR)
WHAT SHOULD I DO ??
note : The same is workable if the contact is saved on phone and not "imported" from google contacts.
