Is there some way to copy facebook contacts to my live account? I ask this because apps like whatsapp do not have access to facebook contacts, so I would like to export all my facebook contacts to Windows Live to be able to message them using whatsapp.

If you add details to a contact (like a telephone number), the phone will automatically create a copy of the contact form Facebook on your Windows Live Account and then link these two together on your phone.
All contacts that have a telephone number should be accessable by WhatsApp, so I don't understand your problem. Do you have the telephone number of the people you want to contact via WhatsApp?
A lot of my Facebook contacts have a phone number but whatsapp only recognizes windows live contacts. If i select a Facebook contact from the "all" list whatsapp tells me its not able to fetch contact details from Facebook contacts.

The HTC contact list is a great way to sync Facebook profile picture with the phonebook's. It even syncs birthdays, but why don't it sync the email addresses and the phone numbers?
It would be great if there's an app to do that so that I don't have to manually enter all those email addresses into my contact list!
a very simple use of the search, or even read the frontpage if xda would show that theres an app that does exactly that.
I have a nexus one and have been trying to sync the contacts in the phonebook since I got it. Some of the contacts got synced because the names are identical, but with lots of them the names are different and I dont want to change them to their facebook names. too serious is there any way i can link phonebook contacts with facebook contacts without giving them the exact names?
I use SyncMyPix from the Market,it syncs your Facebook contacs pics with your contact list.....not sure if does sync their #,give it a try

Hi, I just flashed 6.1.1 and I really rely on the fact that my Facebook Contacts can sync with my GMail to create one big list. In the contacts app I see both groups just as I need. However, if I download an app such as GO SMS which replaces the default sms client, the only contacts recognized are that of Gmail and on my SIM card. The facebook contacts will only appear as numbers. Now having over 500 facebook contacts I cannot just add them all thats ridiculous. But, if I go into the default SMS client then the contact appears with name and picture...
Any ideas as to what's wrong?

hi guys, anyone know how to sync only facebook photo to phone contact, rather than whole facebook contact?
this is the problem i encounter:
when i tab on the TO: list in messaging and type in my friend's name, it will show a replica of number (ie number from phone contact, and number from facebook contact). And the worst part is some of the number from facebook contact are wrong.
can anyone help?

thanks aagvain, i forgot something, previously i sync with my facebook account, and am able to get all the email address as well.
so i have to either add in the email via gmail one by one and sync gmail, or is there any other alternative?

just an update, i've solved my problem.
i've installed google contact sync and it will only sync facebook photo.
the downside is it doesn't sync the email, so i have to manually input.
How can I make an app for Windows Phone that provides contacts to the people hub but these contacts must not sync with Whatsapp.
I know this is possible because contacts with phone numbers from Facebook aren't synced with Whatsapp.
In what field of a contact should the phone number be stored so that WhatsApp can't read it.
What are the APIs and if there is an app like that existing in the store, what is it? PS. I am developing for WP8.1 or WM10
