[APP] Process Hacker 2.36 - Windows RT Development and Hacking

All,
Please find attach the native Windows RT binaries for ProcessHacker 2.36. Includes all the plugins.. as well as the 'extra-plugins' that are not normally released.
I've had to rebuild my dev environment recently, so the kernel driver appears to be having an issue -- consider this a beta release until I get this fixed.
Cheers!
EDIT: driver is fixed and attached - it was linked against the wrong subsystem..

Do I need to root first or does it root when I flash and what does it exactly do. does it remove my programs or anything like that?
Thanks in advance
Excuse me but if I used your old method of rooting. Does this still work?
Updated without any problems. I assume that most of these "improvements" are more under the hood than stuff that would be noticable to the average user. Thank you for your work. I hope we get more talented people on this project. Of coarse this project didn't "explode" with new stuff multiple times a day, there's only a small fraction of people working on it. Once again, I wish I could help with something to get the ball rolling better, but I don't know how to code and I'm no linux guru either.
Helping finding bugs, giving help to people trying to do whatever, and giving feedback is contributing.

Yeah I updated with no problems also.
Also, this is VERY important. If you have Auto Mount, you need to dismount the SD Card in order for this to work.
What is -03 optomizations? And is this a different version than you posted last night at sdx
Sorry for the dumb question, but what's the difference between this and "one click root"? And could someone please explain what installing one the these modified kernels do? Thanks.

It will Flash a Custom Kernel. Which will give you root access. It wont delete anything.

Awesome work as usual. couple questions.
1. I know you have busybox included but its an older version "current "1.18.0" and I can not get that to install after doing your kernel. If I use just he exploit method I can ugrade it via the market.
2. The version number is still reading V1? do you plan on changing that with updates so we can tell what we have installed for us dumb peoples lol
Thanks so much donation coming your way

Thanks, makes life a little easier.
Actually, i have some commands which come in really handy when you use ubuntu on a tab.
sudo apt-get remove appmenu-gtk indicator-appmenu overlay-scrollbar liboverlay-scrollbar-0.1-0
This will remove the global menus and that annoying scrollbar so you have to use your mouse/trackpad less often.
*edit: Hard reboot right after the install-part.
*edit2 git was missing on my ubuntu-install. I'd suggest you to add it to your apt-get line.

If you can get me like a guide or something to do that, i would love to. im working on something else right now, but should be able to do that really quick. next update will have an update feature to automatically check for updates.
i know this is a noob question (i think you wil get more off them since the one-click installer for windows)
- how to correctly use this script
- will this affect the working off my dualboot configuration (for one click installer)
very excited for this. is there a guide for this script or can we just execute?
download the script, right click on the file and mark it as an executable under properties.
open a terminal, ch to the folder you´ve downloaded the script and run
$sudo ./kernelupdater.sh
I would love to get Linux Mint (any flavor, but considering our hardware, prob LMDE or LXDE is most realistic, although IDK if any debian flav is compiled for ARM?) built into a flashable image. Ubuntu is wasted on a machine with limited RAM and a non-standard file system.
I am not a developer, but I certainly would help as much as possible any person who would like to get moving and use our hardware to its fullest extent!
Like I said, any interested parties, please PM me.

[APP] Synergy for Windows RT (1.3.8 stable & 1.4.12 beta )

All,
Please find the attached Windows RT native binaries for Synergy (v1.3.8 stable). See the project homepage for more details:
http://synergy-foss.org/
Haven't found any issues so far with Synergy, however you must run 'launcher.exe' as Admin or some of the functionality won't work correctly (namely key strokes) . I have binaries for the latest beta version as well but only for the command line tools without a GUI - PM me if you'd like those instead but this one should suit everyone fine.
EDIT: I've added the binaries (and QT4 runtime) for Synergy 1.4.12 Beta. I personally don't like this version as much (more heavy weight and takes more effort to configure) but others have asked for it.. and it was a good test of the QT4 runtime port. Please don't ask me how to configure it, there is plenty of information on the synergy website on sorting out configuration issues.
Cheers!
nice! thanks!
Great, thanks!

I had a similar error with my dosbox port, I believe I fixed it by installing the vcredist for ARM, attached to this post. Even if it doesn't work it won't cause any harm.

Netham45 is correct. The import you're getting an error for is from MSVCP110.dll. Using the redistributable VC runtime should fix this problem. Classic 'dll hell' issue.
If installing the VC runtime doesn't solve the problem, let me know.
Cheers!
I'm sorry as I'm completely off topic, but.. whoa:

RT 8.1 Issue
Hi - Not sure if this is applicable to this post.
Thanks for uploading these, put me well on my way to making use of my Surface RT.
Trying to run Synergy on my RT 8.1 Surface.
Have jailbreak installed (successfully) , but I'm receiving an error when running the synergy executable.
Can't post a link to image here, but the error says:
"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source."
Could this be perhaps because the synergy files were signed from RT 8.0?
Any help would be much appreciated at this point, as i'd really love to get this working!!
Would love to give this a try but all I get is a QtGui4.dll not found error. I've tried finding a source for this DLL online but can't find one that is properly compiled for my Surface RT. Is the OP still around with the proper file that might be added to the post?

Test
Okay guys... You guys greatly overwhelmed my Server when we launched. I don't have any money so I am using a free host.
That said, I would like to provide a fast alternative to Downloads in case the site ever goes down. Now bare with me with this suggestion...
What do you guys think about BitTorrent Sync? I know that it is a little complicated to set up; but once you set it up, you are done. So I am providing a Test for you guys.
If you have some time (and bandwidth), would you consider (re-)downloading to test the capacity? Instructions on how to do it are hidden below if you want to test:
Download BitTorrent Sync
Skip Setup and add a Sync Folder
Select a Folder (maybe /sdcard/Vox)
Enter this Secret into the Box: BTD2MQMNDQGGPKMMEZTIFC3SAD4SUQLTI
DO NOT CHECK Automatic Sync as this will download all the files, you only want to download the latest for your device!
Press Done and then open the folder in the app and download the Nexus 5 ROM, Nexus 7 ROM, and/or the QuickBoot APK.
File will be in the folder you selected when you decide to flash (in this case /sdcard/Vox)
Thanks for all of your help and also thank you for downloading!
Sincerely,
Brandon Giesing, Founder of Team Voxive

An Update
I know that I promised an update a while ago and have not (yet) delivered...
First, Swipe to Float is becoming a pain in my A**. Literally, I just can't get it to build with it in there...
Second, PA has abandoned the Settings Reorder on their Gerrit... Should I also?
Finally, in some better news, I am trying to add Native USB OTG support for Flo. PA has it enabled on Hammerhead but not flo even though it should work.
If anybody wants to help with the ROM (some code fixes and stuff as I don't know how to code), that would be great!
Stay tuned...
Nice! First, i love PA-based ROMs and secondly native USB otg is what im ultimately looking for. Since sabermod is not updating thier ROM for a month now and third im gonna try this ROM now but the dL link is not loading. ?

Good and Bad
Okay guys, some good and bad news...
Bad news, my flo's charging port broke yesterday. This means that I have no way to test my ROM. Also, I am without any device...
Good news! It broke while I was in the middle of building! So, I have one release you guys can try while I wait for my device to get fixed by ASUS.
Below is the changelog and it is big.

I hope you guys enjoy this and I will see you later.

Update
As you may have read a few posts back, my Flo has broke. Here is an update on that.
First, I have received it back from ASUS. Problem, they didn't fix a thing. Charging port is still broke and all they did was slap a sticker on the back.
Secondly, I tried to build an update anyway. Problem here is that some changes AOSPA has merged in are breaking builds for Flo/Deb, meaning I can't build an update till they fix it.
However, there is some good things. By time they fix the build system, the new recents will probably be open sourced as they are introducing a new feature called Dynamic System Bars. (I actually helped them announce it by Teasing the Teaser!) I have not got a chance to try it but it looks amazing. Think Tinted Status Bar but 50x better.
Also as of last Wednesday, I started back at School, I am a Senior this year so after I graduate, I will have more time for projects like this!
Hope this gives a little insight.
Thanks,
Brandon Giesing

[WIP/DEV] Kernel 3.4

So far I've got the basic A51x/A70x support added to my linux-tegra-nv-3.4 branch.
What works:
- The kernel boots
- Panel (partially?)
- USB
- Android is trying to start
Whatnot:
- everything else
So my first goal is to get display up. Currently, I've got a black screen after the bootloader logo, and the following logs:
dmesg
logcat
If anyone can help with this, hit me on hangouts, my g+ profile can be found on my xda profile. I'd appreciate any help, this would be a huge step forward for these devices.
Great work so far !
I quickly looked at your logs, there is some problem with the GPU and SurfaceFlinger can't start.
I'm not very good with Kernel specific devs, but at this point maybe you will have to upgrade hardware libs (egl, etc.).
Maybe you can try to use some Nexus 7 2012 vendor blobs : https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/drivers#grouperktu84p

Newer ones may be needed for 3.4, dunno... also, I may have just missed something simple...
Code:
W/SurfaceFlinger( 266): no suitable EGLConfig found, trying a simpler query
F/SurfaceFlinger( 266): no suitable EGLConfig found, giving up
...
D/NvOsDebugPrintf( 270): NvRmPrivGetChipIdStub: Could not read Tegra chip id/rev
D/NvOsDebugPrintf( 270): Expected on kernels without Tegra3 support, using Tegra2
Anyways, I'm still working on 3.1, refactoring Acer's mess with the kernel files outside the kernel files... minimizing those changes will ease 3.4 development a lot, as it's confusing to watch out for Acer ifdef's all around the kernel

I don't have the device ATM, so I can't do anything related to this.
OK, received an A700 for free to work on this project and I made quite some progress; I fixed almost everything, so 3.4 is like, usable as a daily driver now. Are there any users left to enjoy it? I'm going to start official Unlegacy Android builds (4.4 and 6.0, then 7.1 later on) shortly more details will follow later. The changes include switching to slightly newer blobs for slightly better 2D/3D performance with 3.4.

Have you abandoned the project?
I found the builds on Jenkins. I even ran them on my a700. If remove checks from the installer, they are flashed.
But the recovery does not work.

OK, received an A700 for free to work on this project and I made quite some progress; I fixed almost everything, so 3.4 is like, usable as a daily driver now. Are there any users left to enjoy it? A thread will be opened soon. Until then - feel free to use the aosp-6.0 builds from Jenkins (they're almost fully complete)

what checks need to be removed?
I tried flashing with twrp 2.7.1 (newest publicly available) and ctr 3.3
twrp failed at unexpected contents (I previously wiped all partitions)
and ctr auto-rebooted in the process when I wasn't looking, and it apparently failed as well.
this was using the newest "stable" 6.0.1 build
