Which roms have remappable back and menu keys? - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Some lollipop (and kitkat) roms allow you to easily remap the back and menu keys. I like to have both keys set to back on short press and menu on long press. I know that Omnirom, Slim Saber, and Dirty Unicorns have it. Are there any other Lollipop roms with this feature? I have used many roms without this feature and remap both keys to back in generic.kl and use button savior to have a menu key, but that's a hassle. TIA for any suggestions!

It should just be a matter of you reading the features list for each ROM to find out.

Most roms have the ability to remap the home and menu keys.. Few roms have the ability to remap the back key, or assign the back function to the menu key. All of them can say they have remappable hardware buttons.

Quick Screenshot with hardware keys? Rooted/Unrooted

Is there a quick way to snap a screenshot? I enjoyed this on my iPhone.
Like holding down the menu key or something similar.
I'm rooted btw.
Sorry, but there's none.
If you stick around, CM7 is putting it into future builds through a long hold on the power button, then assuming it'll be an option in the list!

Remap hard keys?

Is there a way to remap the search key to the recent app key????????
What ROM you using?
Long press the home button for recent apps. Why do you want to change that?

Hardware key mapping: how to use recents?

Hey guys,
I am a SlimKat user but dualboot with Miui. Now, that ROM hasn't integrated hardware key mapping, unlike SlimKat and GravityBkx doesn't work, unfortunately. I prefer hardware buttons over soft keys and I don't like OP's button placement. I know off changing the key mapping manually using "Generic.kl" in system/usr/keylayout.
I have found the correct Buttons that I want to have changed, but I don't know how to change them to recents? Menu is MENU WAKE_DROPPED. Back is BACK WAKE_DROPPED. Recents? No clue.
Does anyone know the code for recents? Or maybe I can download a Samsung Galaxy S5 ROM and check the recents code in their(it has a hardware recents button, right?)
Thank you in advance!
BTW: back is key 158 and menu is key 139 for those who want to know.
Oh, wow... Google is amazing...
It's: APP_SWITCH....

LP Rom with full hardware key remapping

I came across an LP rom a couple of weeks ago that allowed full hardware key remapping, where you could easily assign the back key to menu and the menu key to back, as well as assign long presses to all the keys, but I lost track of which one it was. Anyone know?

Looking for a lollipop rom with this specific feature

So I have tried a few lollipop roms and I can't seem to find one that has the on screen nav button editor/reorganizer. I want to be able to reorder the on screen nav buttons and also assign longpress actions to them. I know you can assign long press to the hardware keys but I would like to be able to do this with the onscreen nav keys. Does anyone know of a lollipop rom that has this feature?

You should be able to open the SystemUI.apk and edit the navbar yourself if you really need it.
