Where to buy in the UK

Does anyone who where to buy a Moto G in the UK, and / or the general UK availability date?
Looking to buy one for my wife as a birthday gift, so timing is essential!

If you are orange pay as you go and you have credit on your phone (not sure if it also has to be for a certain amount of time) 'Phones 4u' will upgrade you for 99.95 and gave me a free Moto white clip on case with it...
And it looks fantastic when you take the black back off and replace it with the white one. It looks totally classy! So good it would spoil it to put a cover or bumper on it so hopefully will not have to

Got mine from Tesco, 16gb was £120. Traded-in the old SE WT19i at CEX for a bit of cash as well. Not bad.

You can sign up for stock alerts on the Tesco Direct page, so that's probably worth doing. I paid £87.50 for an 8GB thanks to a £10 new customer discount and a few clubcard points.

She only needs the 8Gb but at that price, it's worth paying the extra for the 16Gb

Tesco yes, P4U no.
However the price difference between the two means it's cheaper to buy from Tesco and pay for an unlock code.

Wouldn't you depend on Tesco for system updates though? Yep, I know this is xda and it's not such a big deal if we can flash ROMs ourselves, but still...

Yeah, it mentions Tesco in the software version.
I'm sure that it wont be hard to replace with the 'unbranded' version though.

No chance of it soon officially in the UK as a dual SIM probably not until early 2015. Also watch out if you omport one - the LTE bands may only work on EE.

Reviews of the device have come up online. Most are in Chinese but that should be easily solved with some Translate.

MOTO X PLAY India

Finally Moto X Play has been launched in India at an awesome price(Rs 18499)($280).
So Who all are going to buy it.

i am just worried about the 615 chipset man i see some of them reporting lags on browsers and someapps

the 615 might be a deal breaker, lots of reports of lags and sluggish behavoiur!

Being a huge fan of Moto Display @ Active Display of the Moto X (1st Gen), I am much disappointed they decided not to use AMOLED display. As its one of the unique features of the X, its gonna drain battery in TFT dispaly (by few percentage).
Still its a Beast for the price and specs.
615 is laggy? I believe it wont be the case with Pure Android at Moto. Also guaranteed updates for minimum 1.5 years.
The lastest Moto X at cheaper price than its predecessors, just go for it (as I believe most wont use Moto Display and go for lockscreen apps)
PS: I'd recommend getting a Tempered Glass protector as I believe it does a great job. plus Motorola display parts are costly as hell.

I don't think tempered glass will do anything man if your device's fate is nearing to death, coz i broke my nexus 5 having tempered glass on it fell just from 2feet, before that it has fallen of from couple of feet... so i am thinking not to invest more on phones, i believe this is good phone only worries me is that i use lots of apps i wonder 615 can work em out..

Anyways i booked mine. Waiting!!!

Why don't you use cases from otterbox or supcase? I believe it will help during fall.

I din wanted to add extra weight... Nexus 5 was so light weighted i loved using it naked and it got me fkd [emoji28] [emoji28] and now to add case for moto it will be heavy i should think about it though

Yeah me too, but those gift card and movie tickets will be provided after 1.5 months that is crazy man when you buy the product you have to give it on spot, this is just cheap!!!

There is a 1 month return period right? May be they want to pass that before giving away any of those offers. Perhaps they don't want someone to benefit from the freebies and later return the product...

Actually Flipkart gives only 30 day Replacement policy there is no return policy.

In the UK here and have the HTC u11 life on pre-order, I can see a few posts on here so can see that there are actually some people that own and have first hand experience of the phone. Im moving from a Nexus 5x so would be very interested at your thoughts about this phone ? Screen, speed, quality, are the bezels that big, etc etc. Anything u can tell me....
Also, One main question: does it have a notification LED ? I contacted HTC support and they have said, yes it does but I cannot see this in the specs or pics.

Great phone for the price.
I have a T-Mobile version so it's not Android one software.
It has notification led. The phone is basically just like my 10 in size. The screen is only 1080p but it's great still.
Cameras are great. Battery and standby are great. It's a really great phone overall.

I literally just got back from T-Mobile to get the u11 Life. I set it up to my liking and everything is great so far. Touch response is great. Speed is great. I just wish it came with the USB-c to headphone adapter like most phones workout a headphone jack. But the free headphones are great.
Just having a little lag every so often with the finger print unlock.

I rebooted the phone and now the fp sensor works great. No complaints so far with this phone.

I've seen many reviews complaining about trouble with getting Edge Sense to register properly, but I've had no issues; I've actually found it to be very useful when using the short press for Google Assistant and the long press for the camera app. Can anyone confirm consistent issues with Edge Sense or a lack thereof; did the reviewers tend to roll poorly in the silicon lottery?

I have a U11 (Android One version, with 4 Gb RAM and 64 Gb storage) and everything works perfectly, including Edge Sense. This phone is amazing, takes vary nice pictures (and pics are OK in low light, not as good as on the U11 but for the price it's a great choice).
It's lighter and had more "grip" that the metal edges, at least for me it's not as slippery as big brother so I tend to enjoy it more without a case on !

He obviously got the 32GB version, wich is on sale since a week or so. The HTC website is the only place where you can get the 64 GB Version.

I was lucky to test the unit a few weeks before it was released (I am running the french blog www.monhtcone.com). I confirm this is the 4GB / 64 GB version.

Yes, the Android One (Europe) version of the U11 life comes with 8.0.0.

Still waiting for mine in the UK. Ordered from HTC on day one but nothing yet, no news or anything.....

Same here in NL. I contacted HTC NL and their customer service said they expected to deliver the 4gb / 64gb devices not until beginning of December... Not sure if this also applies to other countries but a little disappointing seeing how the 'regular' model is already available through several webshops here...

Not Great at all. Looks like another 2 weeks worth of wait, oh well, I do hope its a case of 'good things come to those who wait.'
Been reading reviews and although this is not a flagship phone the reviews do seem encouraging. Bring it on HTC...

Well, there are some in Germany who offer the small device already too, but none is shipped in a short time frame.
I'm waiting since 2 weeks now for the blue version

I've ordered 2 yesterday.
The black version seems to be available. The Blue version not. So expect delays when going for the blue version.
On a side note. Black Friday sale started yesterday, so the phone now costs around 341€

Faster delivery if they sell off on official store.
This is pre-order. might backfire , but Amazon tends to get a good lot of quantity.
You cannot pre-order it otherwise.
Hopefully the 128gb version midnight black will be plenty for Amazon even when official store goes back order.
I'm fine with 128gb, the 256gb would be the only incentive for me to wait for official store.

As I understood from the Dutch site belsimpel.nl the 256GB version will be available in 3 weeks approximately might be more/less but also might be the reason that Amazon doesn't show it at all.
