Sony Music App Issues - Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just wandering if anyone is having issues with the most recent music/Walkman app from Sony. Was listening to music and all of a sudden it would stop and then realised why cause it said can not play song. So went through my songs and realised there was a few duplicates. Why I dont know went to my folder under ext sd card and there is no duplicate in it. Then I noticed on few songs it wasnt even playing the song listed.
Anyone else have the problem or just me.
Tried all usual stuff cleared data. Uninstall updates then updated it again. Same problem

I never had that issue. Is your music on the external SD? If that's the case try to chek your SD Card using a PC, run a scandisk on it. If they're on the internal memory, maybe your media scanner glitched out? There should be a few apps on the play store that will reset the media scanner database, even though most times just rebooting the phone would fix those issues.

[Q] Problems with playing music, ringtones, etc.

I bought two Charges last week, one for me and one for the wife. Both of us have been having similar issues with music and/or ringtones randomly not playing on our phones. My wife has missed several calls because the ringtone that she downloaded from Zedge mysteriously stopped working, so the phone acted as if it were on silent mode. I noticed several instances where I can't listen to music on my phone due to a "Error playing the requested track" error within the Google Music app. At first, I thought my problem was due to the fact that I was trying to stream music that I've uploaded, but I was given the same error when I attempted to listen to music stored directly on the SD card.
Thinking that my problem was due to some weird issue with the Google Music app, I tried to play the music on my SD card from the built-in Music Player app and I was quickly prompted with an unsupported file type error. Rebooting both our phones seems to fix the problem, but I've had to do this at least two to three times on my phone, and once on my wife's. It seems that the problem always comes creeping back without warning.
Neither of our phones are rooted, and nothing else has been done to the phone that I can think of that would cause this issue.
In short, music/ringtones/etc. will randomly stop playing regardless of their source (SD card, downloaded, stream). Since the problem is on both of our phones, I'm guessing that this is a common issue on all Droid Charges.
Has anybody else experienced this issue? What are your recommendations on fixing it? Should I just take the phones back to Best Buy and get replacements?
=Edit=
Okay...something is definitely up. I just went to watch a video on the YouTube app, and saw no video. I tried other videos and got the same result. Sure enough, I tried to listen to some music and was given the above mentioned error. What the hell?
I would take them back to Best Buy. Ive never heard of this problem. And if youtube is not playing then there seems to be and underlying problem.
I was having this same problem every so often, typically after having the phone on for a few days without turning it off. I am rooted an running a custom ROM so I thought it might have something to do with that, but obviously that is not the case. I turn my phone off whenever I charge it at night and have not had the problem since doing that. Long story short, I would return the phone if you can, but just turning the phone off and then back on (not rebooting) has fixed the problem for me every time.
Try uninstalling the official twitter app if you have it, reboot, and try again. That usually solves that.

[Q] Google Music Keeps Flashing On and Off

Whenever I open the app, I can't scroll through the list of artist or albums without every album cover flashing on and off. It's almost impossible to find a song now (I could go to a list of songs, but there are 14,000 of them to scoll through).
I've re-installed the app a couple of times and it works for a while, but then it flashes on and off again. Anyone had this problem and fixed it?
Atleast i am not alone... i posted this weeks ago.
I too have about 10k of music on Gmusic... it seems it is constantly loading up the album covers. flashing on and off.
The only fix i have which is not a fix is if i am really inpatient needing music right away i have to go to settings/app/ g music and clear data. but you still have to wait a few mins for everything to load back up
Or recently when i turn it on and if it is flashing ( i am assuming because i always turn off wifi ) it must have to reload everytning- I go to tune in radio and play a song and usually after one song i go back to gmusic and everything is loaded and flashing has stopped.
I have not heard of any permanent fixes. I have even tried to uninstall and reinstall gmusic--doesnt work.
Patience is my only work around right now.....

Sorry about that--I did a search earlier and came up empty.
Thanks for the "fixes." Does clearing all the data delete the music on my SD card? I've been reluctant to try it b/c it seems that it would. I'll try the Tune-in Radio fix.

no it wont wipe your sd. After you do it you will need to go back into gmusic setting and connect your gmail account to pull music from.

[Q] Music player won't display the 'recently added' list correctly.

My Sony Xperia L doesn't display the recently added songs correctly in music players, the list keeps on resetting.
I tried formatting the SD Card on phone and on PC as well. That doesn't fix it. Factory reset doesn't fix it either.
I'm experiencing this problem with the Walkman app and all 3rd party music players.
There's nothing wrong with the Album app, it displays recently added media correctly. What's with music players then?!
BTW, my phone is running on the latest firmware, I experienced the same problem on previous firmwares as well.
Any ideas on how to fix it?
It's really annoying.

Help...!!!
Anyone.......
Help me, please.

music getting deleted

I could be listening to music one day fine and then the next day all my music is deleted off my memory card, any info would be helpful
I too have noticed this issue with my D6616 Z3. Started happening a few days ago. All the sudden Google music or walkman app will stop recognizing any media stored on the memory card or internal memory until I reboot. Havent been able to figure out what may be causing this issue.

XE Walkman not updating music

Ok, so I've had this problem where Walkman wouldn't detect changes to the music files on the phone and ext card. When I added and removed the songs, the list in the Walkman was the same, but if I was to play a song that I have deleted, it would pop out an error (ofcourse), if I ran a song trough root explorer, it would run normally, the format is supported. Then I saw that I can delete data on Walkman app, restart the phone, nothing happend, it didn't detect anything, so I used a rescan app from PS, and that did nothing. Then I deleted data from the Media Storage, restarted the phone, nothing happend, now I can't even select my notifications/ringtones, used Rescan app and still nothing. Waited for a day or so and still nothing is showing up. I've also tried factory resetting with no results, and I used a previous backup, but still nothing got fixed, can someone help? Thanks.
Oh, and PowerAmp loads the songs just fine, but won't use them as ringtone, don't know why.
Nobody?
