Hello,
I need a little assistance with my phone.
I have a OnePlus One. When OxygenOS went out, I installed it on my device. I had to change my recovery to TWRP.
I reverted back to Cyanogen, but my recovery stayed with TWRP. Since than I updated my phone twice. Before the last update I was with cm-12.0-YNG1TAS0YL. Now I am with 12.0-YNG1TAS2l3.
May somebody please tell me where to obtain the proper cyanogen recovery from and what are the steps to install it. Is it necessary to update radio or other things?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Just download the CM recovery from here and flash with fastboot:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery YNG1TAS2I3-recovery.img
Thanks man!

Ok so today i tried to flash the JellyBam ROM 6.3.0. I read in the comments that first i had to go into bootloader mode and flash the boot.img that was in the ROM .zip when i did that it said it successfully flashed the boot.img but then when i tried to reboot it just got stuck in a bootloop. I was able to eventually get back to twrp with the fastboot boot recovery.img command but when i try to flash my old ROM (ViperXL) the Aroma installer comes up but with a weird blue gradient over it. And when it finishes it just goes right back to bootlooping. How do i fix this!? please help! thanks in advance.
All you did was flash the boot.img.
You have to flash the actual ROM also.
i forgot to mention that i did flash the rom when i was able to get back to recovery but i still got the bootloop
Sounds like a rom/kernel conflict. You flashed a cm kernel, and you can't run a sense rom (Viper) over that.
so what should i do then?
Factory reset and flash the apporpiate combo..
hi all,
today morning i just got an update. when i tried to install it goes to twrp recovery. so i am unable to update. i tried flashing the update zip (copied from android/data/..../cm-bacon-7be...90510ef.zip), it fails in twrp recovery.
now some search resulted that i must go to stock recovery to update that.
i figured that i can flash stock recovery using " fastboot flash recovery recovery.img ", but i dont know which recovery to flash. and i am still wondering is it the correct method?(if yes, please take some time to link me to that recovery or just attach recovery of cyanogen).
any suggestions on how to revert to stock recovery or updating manually??
thanks!!!
ps: iam complete newbie, if you find this as duplicate or annoying or anything that prevents to answer above que. please teach me, i am ready!!

Stock recovery:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B98G0KTJwnBFNzBFd2pRMmhvUmc/view?usp=docslist_api
Download it and rename it to "recovery.img", then flash with fastboot:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
I did this today and works perfect:

Hello everyone, I'll tell you what happened
First I was in CM13.1, then I flashed to oxygen OS 3.1.4 custom
(When I flash the ROM, without warning me the recovery was updated to the version TWRP 3.0.3-2TugaPower, previously being in a version inferior to 2.8)
After logging in to the new recovery, I noticed that the recovery version was not on the TWRP page, so I decided to flash the most recent version of TWRP (twrp-3.1.1-0-bacon.img), flashe it through Android sdk (Fastboot), everything went well the pc recognized me the OPO in fastboot Mode and flashe the recovery without problems, the problem came when I try to enter the new recovery the OPO does not enter the recovery stays in the OnePlus Logo.
(Before updating the recovery I tried to restate the backup of my previous rom CM13.1 but when I was going to restart it it stays in the OnePlus logo, and when I go to recovery I fixed that in the section of "Mount" system is not checked , Active but still the same, and when I return to recovery is removed.)
I ask you if you can give me ideas to be able to have recovery again and revive my OPO plz.

I guess you didn't read the OP of Oxygen Os correctly,he clearly mentioned that this 'Tuga Power Recovery' is patched to work with Oxygen Os's firmware and one should not flash any other recovery. Now,what you can do is this,
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-ikULjZZlloNHpOdVBrTzQxZzQ/view?usp=drive_web
> Download This file, install it somewhere and run Revert-2-CM.exe. Make sure you have fastboot drivers installed or it wont work.Avoid using any Antivirus program while doing this as they might give false alarms. After this you'll be restored to TWRP then you can flash any rom you want. The reason due to which you weren't able to find 'TugaPower Recovery' on TWRP page is because this is an Unofficial Recovery.
Question
What does the program do with the OPO?
If you are familiar with fastboot commands, this method should work. Had my OnePlus in the same situation last night messing around with Efidroid. Phone was bootlooping. Efidroid boot menu as well as recovery mode were both inaccessible. I had tried several other things but none worked for me. *CAUTION: this method did ERASE my userdata.* I downloaded a fastboot-able stock full firmware zip, then manually reflashed device. My beloved OnePlus is no longer my daily driver but still my fave device to experiment with so I just used COS 13.1 file. After full reboot, I downloaded and flashed official TWRP. Device is fully functional again, but without OOS installed.

It'll change your firmware and alter your recovery to a functional TWRP.You'll lose Oxygen Os after doing this.Though you can use this anytime when not being able to flash TWRP.
What should i do
Thanks a lot thanks to the method you told me my OPO has recovery again really thanks, but I have a question, I still in the TugaPower recovery, should I flash the stock recovery or the newest version of TWRP?
Because I do not know if flashing again the TWRP will happen the same
I.
Followed this great guide by Heisenberg to flash TWRP.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/guides-bacon-timmaaas-how-to-guides-t2839471
All went well.
Problem is: went back into recovery post-process, and Cyanogen Recovery is still the recovery image.
Why is this? Any suggestions?
Thank you
For the sake of this thread - I fixed this by doing this:
You dont have much experience with this? DO you?
Anyways go to developer options uncheck update cm recovery! Flash twrp again after flashing twrp do not reboot to system! Power off your phone and then first boot into twrp and then boot to system!
PS: dont forget to uncheck update cm recovery

Hey,
I updated already rooted phone with Oxygen updater (forgot that he will remove TWRP in auto install) and now can't get it to fastboot into TWRP with ADB. I tried several .img files but non worked. Every time it goes to Crash dump.
Did someone successfully fastbooted into one? Or the only solution is to go back and do it manually from OOS 10?
Thank you!

If you are on OOS 11 then use the attached file and try the below steps.
1. Reboot to Fastboot mode.
2. Use command : Fastboot boot boot.img (use attached TWRP alone)
3. Once rebooted to recovery mode Install recovery by Advanced -> Install Current TWRP . This should install the image automatically to your device.
Reboot your phone to system mode and then reboot it back to recovery mode later.
Hope the above helps.
TWRP is wonky on A11, for now.
If I'm not mistaken the TWRP provided by other poster will have issues with making and restoring backups.
If you are still rooted and looking for a backup/restore method, you might as well leave TWRP alone for now and simply maintain root through the Magisk app. If root was lost, then you can use the version provided here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/recovery-11-unofficial-teamwin-recovery-project.4306803/ which is likely what other user posted, to restore root and then wait for Google to release the full deets on A11 to hobby developers who can then make a new TWRP.
This worked for me to get back TWRP and root after upgrading. Thank you very much!
