Will the flex 2 get android M and is there a way to get lgg4 camera on the flex 2 i hate not having more options on this phone also my lg optimus g which was all glass way before the s6 is in my opinion one of the greatest phones of all time thanks

The original Flex still doesn't have LP officially, so there's a chance the trend will stick for the Flex 2. I can say that the G4 & maybe G3 will receive 6.0 next year. The G2 was leaked with 5.1.1, which will likely be the final update.
So u think this phone with the newest snapdragon and i know they say it ober heats and also im mad i dont have 3 gigs like advertised of ram but i hope we get an update because this phone was launched on lolipop

It's not clear what LG will do. The Flex was also a fast phone with the SD800, and that didn't encourage them to update it either...I think we should stay positive and see what LG does by 2016.

Im really disappointed with the lack of development on this phone. its got beter specs than most phones out there and Im sure it would be a killer with an aosp rom...probably gonna trade it for the nexus 6

Locked boot loader is interfering with development, but I don't recall LG ever releasing kernel sources for this model either.

I've been thinking the same thing for a long time. Their build quality is shoddy and their products are built to be replaced by the next generation of phones.

Well a friend of mine works for them in the city. He told me they try hold back on updates for mid range devices that are ment to be updated but they dont for the simple reason it makes people buy the next best thing with the latest firmware

Yeah but samsung is not the only one guilty of doing this. Once the phone is already its aweful nice of a company to spend money making and giving out free updates. I would imagine it costs them quite a bit to develop and bug test a new version of their firmware.
Is it worth buying lg g4 or s6 when you are waiting for nexus 5 (2015 edition)
Or shall i go for lg g3 ?

I'd wait. You've got a OnePlus One, and I can't imagine you (or anyone) being dissatisfied with its performance and requiring something that's "more". If you just want something new/different to play with, grab an LG G2; they're unbelievably cheap now, and still one hell of a phone. Or a 2013 Moto X, for when you don't want a big ol' slab flopping around in your pocket.

Hello, eefo.
XDA-Developers is a good place, to get help to buy a phone, but there's a famous thread, where there's a high chance, to get help from some members.
Here's the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/general/slow-motion-phones-device-how-to-imo-t2998500
EDIT: Nookie has already mentioned the thread... Sorry, haven't seen your post.
But what your phone you want, depends on your preferences.
Features
Screen Size
Design
Price
User Interface
Specifications
anything else
What are your preferences?
Hope our flex2 will get the updata~

some website said we will, but no official information about the update
Doubt it
Lg is unpredictable..... Lol
All i want is my unlocked blootloader, 6.0 will be cool, but all i can pray for is that Lg blesses us with a unlocked bootloader.
It's their fastest phone, but the chance of M is probably 20/80. Chance of an unlocked bootloader, 5/95. I'm curious about a stagefright 2.0 patch.

The article mentioned that the LG Flex may not get Marshmallow, the LG G Flex2 will get Marshmallow, no doubt about that.
And yes they hopefully fix the Stagefright 2.0 bugs too.

Do you have an LG source for your certainty that the Flex 2 will get M? LG has a pretty poor track record -- the first gen Flex never got Lollipop.

I hope you're wrong about 20/80 for Marshmallow. The phone is only ~6 months old and abandonment by LG would be a pretty miserable business decision. As far as unlocking bootloader, we'll more likely get that unofficially as a result of developer effort (highly unlikely without some LG tech leak) but overall the odds are probably even worse than 5%, especially for those of us with AT&T model.
If there will not be a 6.0 update for this device, i'm gonna buy a freaking iphone and never look back on android ... srsly, i'd be done with it and its fragmentation bs forever. Vendorlock me to apple crap.

Intuitively, logically, and reasonably we should expect Marshmallow and the rumors floating around on the android sites are a good sign, but personally I won't bank on it until LG puts out something official. The original Flex was release only 9 weeks earlier than the Flex 2 the prior year (Oct 27 2013 versus Jan 5 2015) and the first Flex never saw Lollipop.

The Flex and G2 had the same SoC, yet LG abandons it with no apology to users. I can't even find a reason for why they'd abandon a phone with those specs while it still had KitKat. Heck. I don't even understand why KitKat never came to the ATT LG Optimus G despite having the S4 Pro.

I see where you are coming from here, but I think that the flex 2 is much better and more popular than the original flex. I don't fully understand why the deep price cut, but it will dramatically increase sales no doubt.
Sidebar: Thanks again to help me confirm I had bad sensors. I sent the phone to LG for repair under warranty and they replaced the entire screen. When I got the phone back it was updated to 5.1.1, so now I don't have to worry about trying to coerce an OTA (sweet!). Battery life is stellar so far and no heat issues. Marshmallow would be a real treat (pun intended) on this phone, so I will stay hopeful that we'll get it (eventually)
Anyway if LG doesn't keep his word, I won't buy his device anymore
6.0
LG Flex 2 IS getting Marshmallow, U can bet your S'mores on it.

Guys. And gals? I am needing to snag an upgrade. I have note 4 ...The real reason is to get my bill down with the new pricing on easy pay. But on 16th they will go up 10 bucks. So ive been searching hard. 810 rumors are rampid. Id rather ask you users. Has the throttling stopped since the updates? Was this really the korean model? Or? How does the screen look compared to note 4? I ask because i love amoled. I also like the fact the flex is not seen much in the hand around my parts,of town. Lol. I see development is lacking. Guess no loki? Wonder why sprint would sell the flex 2 with locked bootloader? Oh well. 5.1.1 and up should fix all the lag. Please if you feel you might have some front facts on all this i hope u would give me all your opinions based on ownership. Thanks.

Sweet. So like myself youve had plenty of latest flagships. How crisp is the screen? Any pentile effect? Or is it as sharp as say note 3 or 4?
Sent from my SM-N910P using XDA Free mobile app
First thing I noticed was how much better the screen looked imo then the note 3 not as good as g3 sharpness but close and colors are better since its amoled.
Any information about this update? I found only this:

Flex2 would not be one of those.
One thing we can count on is that Flex2 is probably EOL.
This perhaps not so soon. The phone is old just about a year and a half.
Don't think we'll be that lucky.

LG is a piece of garbage when it comes to updates. Worse than this, they don't even allow us to unlock bootloader to do this for ourself.
Unlikely.
Most variants (H950, LS996, US995) did not even get 6.0.

1. Motorola
2. HTC
3. LG

yeah, "got" MM. Just a fraction of devices got the update while majority is still officially on 5.1.1.
At least getting 7.0 on a snapdragon 810 is remotely possible... maybe LG decided to skip MM and go directly for nougat. But then again, why would they. They've probably already fired the last engineers involved in the development and nobody remembers last years flagship phone, even though there are DOZENS of users like us waiting desperately for a newer firmware
There will never be 7.0 for Flex 2 . Please guys, just be real..
Sent from my LG-H955 using Insomdroid
No custom ROM for LG G Flex 2 and very slowly update to marshmallow . Android nougat 7.0 is not possible for this phone is fact and real.
I wonder if 7.0 will come with an unlocked bootloader?
lol, only joking

About a year or so late on that piece of advice!
yes the development is like zero but i get used to it i'm happy with my device i'm rooted with xposed that's what i need for now maybe later i will change my device when there is ni official support for android updates
calm down people!! This device will get the treatment they deserve soon...i belive LG will make all variants bootloader unlockable and then (becausa V20 will be a big big fail) people will buy more V10 and then do things for this amazing device!
we need to wait...i know this device have almost 1 year but good things come late and soon we will get Android N too.

trust me, when V10 receive the Android 7.0 LG will understand that V20 is a new disaster and do something for V10 like they did with G4.
G4 have no hope when launched, but then LG decide to unlock bootloader (idk if they are for all variants of only Europe) but at least i see a lot of development for G4 - and dont forget, if you have bootloader unlocked on your V10, you can try mods from G4 forum because have the same SoC and almost same specs (screen resolution and so on).
I already install a bunch of things from G4 forum in my V10 and at the moment all fine.

I'd be happy with just stock quick toggles.
I'm actually kind of happy there is not a lot of deving for this device. When I had my M8 I was constantly flashing roms because there was so much support for it. Problem was that it turned into wasted hours and no productivity.
I'm happy with just root and xposed on stock for the V10.
