WIFI Icon with "!" - Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I have been connecting my Z3 Dual (Android 5.0) with my home ASUS Router (RT-AC87U) and there is no "!" on the WIFI Signal Icon.
It appears that after I upgrade to 5.1, I will have this "!" on my WIFI Signal Icon every time I connect to my home router, anyone has any solution?

No Internet access probably. I have! when connected to wifi without Internet.

Yes, there is no issue with my WIFI as my Z4 Tablet on 5.0 can connect without any issue and no "!". It only happens to my Z3 Dual on 5.1.
Once I disconnect the WIFI and connect it back, the "!" is gone.

Hey guys, i habe the same problem with my Z3 D6603. On 4.x.x no problem all the time and with 5.x.x very often the problem that i have no internet "!". It seems to bei a bug

Same here. Z3 dual on 5.1.1, router being asus rt-n66u (or something like that). Get the exclamation mark, but can still connect to wifi. To get rid of it, just disconnect and reconnect. I am presuming its some wifi bug with Android.

The "!" appears on 5.1.1 next to the wifi icon when it is trying to connect, but hasn't yet done so. When it eventually connects, it disappears.

Wi-Fi connecting to wrong network

Hi everyone,
Ever since installing the OTA Android 2.3.5 with Sense 3.0 update on my Desire S, I've been having problems with the Wi-Fi. When I'm at home, my phone keeps connecting to a BT Openzone network nearby, and I have to manually choose my home Wi-Fi. I could understand this if the BT connection had a better signal, but it only has 1 bar compared to 5 from my router. I constantly tell it to forget the BT network, but the next time I turn Wi-Fi on, it connects to it again.
Is there any way to permanently forget a Wi-Fi network, or to tell the phone to default to my home connection?
Thanks.

[Q] Android doesn't connect to hotspot?

I have a computer running Connectify Hotspot Pro and sometimes I am able to connect, but mostly I am unable. The phone says" connecting" with one bar of WiFi and then it stops trying to connect and goes to full bars again. what can I do to fix this? It doesn't happen to any other network. I have full signal.

[Completed] [Q] Acer A1-811, weird Wifi

Hello XDA-Team,
a few days ago i bought an used Acer A1-811.
Specs from about the Tablet:
Android 4.4.2
Baseband: Acer_AV0K0_MVmt8389kkv43_A1-811_1.022.00_WW_GEN1
Kernel: 3.4.67
Image Version: Acer_AV0K0_A1-811_RV02RC06_WW_GEN1
Build-Nummer: Acer_AV0K0_A1-811_1.025.00.WW:GEN1
Abbild-P/N: FM.NLXA0.064
No 3G-Sim inserted.
The problem/issue:
When i switched it on for the first time and connected to my WLAN, everything worked fine.
I´ve installed some apps from PlayStore and configured Home-Screens and so on.
Then i switched off WIFI to save battery.
When i switched WIFI on again it does not connect properly to my WLAN and has no connectivity to my Network, or the Internet.
The WIFI Status Icon in Status bar was red, not White as normal. Looking at the wifi-setup Screen, it Switches permant between connected, connecting, looking for a wifi, and so on.
Looking at the Status Screen on my router (Standard german O2-Router), the Tablet was not listed.
After rebooting my router the tablet connects immediately to wifi and works fine again.
So far, so good, but... after disabling wifi and enabling wifi again, the tablet does not connects again and the wifi Status Icon was red again.
Rebooting the router again and the tablet connects again.
Because of that, i do not switched off the tablets wifi over the night. But, next morning wifi does not works again.
After the following router reboot, the wifi Status Icon was still red, but now the tablet anyhow has Internet Access.
The Router cannot be responsible for that Problem, because i have a lot more wifi devices (Samsung Galaxy Tab2, Acer A210, LG Phone, Canon Printer, LG TV, Dell Streak 5, ...) in use, which i can Switch on and off as i like and all of them are connecting perfectly to my wlan.
Resetting the tablet pressing the pinhole, or give it a fixed ip-adress (even from the router) does not work, too.
Of course it is no solution to reboot my router every time the Acer A1-811 loss the wifi Connection.
I´m getting nuts...... does anybody could help please?
Thanks in advance
Edit:
Looks i´ve solved it ...
Changed routers wifi encryption from WPA-AES-TKIP to WPA2-PSK and everything works well.
Thread closed as OP solved his problem.

I can't connect to camera wifi bc it says no internet ! Please help.

Hello. I have Moto g 2015. I have updated my ph to android 6 official over wifi. Problem I am facing is that I can't connect to any wifi device which has no internet.
I bought a Nikon d5500 camera with wifi. When I connect my ph and camera ....it stays connected for 1 minute or less then it shows me a warning that it has no internet and then it gets disconnected!!
How do I stop it from getting disconnected?? Please help me !! ((
Go to WIFi settings and "forget" your Nikon camera's WiFi network, then connect again, in the notification dropdown there should be a message that saus "Nikoncamera WiFi has no Internet connection. Stay connected to this network?" and there is also a tick box that is something like always do this.
It won't pop up these prompts, you have to find them in the notification pull down, and before the phone normally times out and disconnects.
