Hi,
I'va had CM7 a10 flashed on my Sensation for a few days. A couple of days ago I've decided to get back to Stock ROM, and then the problems started. Before installing CM7 everything was fine. After restoring my backup from before flashing CM7 weird things started to happen (apps dissapearing, settings changing on their own, hangs, and other stuff). So I've done a SuperWipe a few times, and flashed a completely new Stock ROM via USB using: RUU_Pyramid_HTC_Europe_1.50.401.1_Radio_10.56.9035.00U_10.14.9035.01_M_release_223042_signed file. Then I've done a few factory resets, just in case. But still weird things are happening (eg. now I have a clean phone - once again - and trying to setup the sync options and the options app hangs everytime. and installing something from market is like praying for a miracle). I've tried doing factory reset, clear cache/dalvik (but with dalvik CWM recovery says that the partition or files wasn't found). Don't know what to do. Does anyone have any ideas ?? Please help. Phone worked fine before, and after CM7 everything is f*cked up
Wierd, looks like you've tried everything I could think of while reading the post.
Do you still have a nandroid backup of CM7, if so does that work if you restore ?
Can you use ADB to get to the phone ? If so you could check some things from there.
When you installed the RUU from the PC, did it install without errors ? Presumably you had to re-install CWM after that.
CM7 nand backup works fine after restore.
I can use ADB to comunicate with the phone.
No errors while updating RUU.exe / CWM recovery flashed without problems also after that.
I think that there's something screwed up with the file permissions.
I've downloaded and installed about 20 apps since the last HR, and now I have about 40 apps more queued in Market, and as before the downloads are stuck every 1-2 apps. Then I have to restart to CWM recovery and run fix permissions. After that another 1-2 apps will download and get stuck again, and so on...
Anyone has any ideas what the hell is going on ? Because my I'm getting more then irritated by this, and beggining to think that the best solution will be to send my phone flying through the window.
A few questions first.
What country are you in?
Who is your carrier?
What version did your phone originally come with? I believe 1.5xxxxx RUU was released recently, but I could be wrong.
Did you ever change your CID?
Have you ever flashed a new radio and RIL?
Did you copy all of the data from your SD card to your computer, then format your SD card using the phone?
Answer these questions and try the SD card thing, then report back. I may be able to help.
Poland.
T-Mobile (Sensation) / Play Mobile (Gio)
Don't remeber what version my Sensation originally came with - I have a 1.50.401.1 RUU that I'm flashing with currently.
Yes, I've changed CID to 11111111 some time ago, but I'm back to original HTC__001 now.
No I haven't changed my radio or RIL.
I've tried formatting the SD card using the phone, my laptop, my linux NAS, my other phones.
The weird thing is that yesterday all of this was progressing. It came to a point that after a factory reset or even a whole ROM reflash nothing would install (not even Market update). And this also started to happen on my Samsung Gio. So after very very very frustrating evening, and part of the night I gave up. And in the morning it was still the same (on both my android phones). But now things are starting to work (updates/installs). So I think I'm going to blame the whole thing on Google and Market. I'll see what happens while I'll install all my apps in the next few hours.
Still have to restart the phone every 1-3 apps installed. This is driving me crazy
I run chameleon os custom rom on Samsung infuse 4g. Superuser by Clockworkmod got binded/imbedded into rom. Was working fine, then out of nowhere got disabled under superuser settings and will not change back. I select apps only and all other choices but as soon as I select it, it switches back to disable. Google play no longer shows it as an app that I have downloaded so I can't get updates. I have tried installing it again both by just downloading it and by disabling it under app management and downloading it, but both ways when I open it tries to downloading binaries and fails. Same thing happens with any other superuser I try to download. I cannot get it to work. Please help. I no longer want chameleon as my rom because of too many issues with it constantly rebooting and internet only working sometimes. i want to try another rom but can't with superuser not working. You mean to say you cannot boot into CWM recovery and flash a different ROM? Interesting. I have an HTC, and the steps to rooting it are in a different order... that after unlocking the bootloader, you install CWM, and then optionally root the stock ROM with the SuperUser package (those who don't do the last step are usually flashing a ROM instead of mucking around for another second with the stock OS).
SU shouldn't be needed for custom recovery. But maybe Chameleon does something weird like not give you a custom recovery you can boot into? If that's the case, you could pop the device into download mode and go back to stock with Odin, effectively starting from scratch.
still need help, thank you.
I am starting to believe more than before that the actual problem is that somehow my phone got unrooted. How do I set my phone in download mode and use Odin? I usually wipe the cache, install the rom, install gapps, wipe cache partition, and wipe dalvik cache. I have never flashed a rom before. Or even better what is the best way to root my phone again now that I am using chameleon? I believe if I can do that it will fix my problems and I can install cyanfox (the latest rom I have downloaded). Do I use super one click? That is what I think I used before but now that I am not using stock rom I don't know what to use.

If you are unable to get into ClockWorkMod recovery (hold Vol-Up+Vol-Dn keys while pressing Pwr button) and have it do anything (so your wipe, install, gapps, dalvik - that process would be called flashing). Then I would Odin back to stock.
For this, you would need to get into download mode. IIRC (just sold my Infuse), it is (with the device fully turned off) hold both volume buttons in while inserting the micro usb cable (that is subsequently inserted into your PC). The ODIN program comes with the download packages (hopefully), so extract the whole package, and run that.
Odin should pick up the phone in the first column as "COMX" (e.g. "COM5"). You are good to flash. To the right, there are PHONE and PDA buttons, click on each, and select the corresponding file (that was also in the package) for each (so PHONE will have something like PHONE.tgz.md5). Once both files are loaded, make sure re-partition is UN-checked, and press Start (or Go, or whatever the action word is). This will take a few minutes, but the COMX column should highlight green with "SUCCESS" in the end.
That's all there is to it. The reason why I'm shying away from SuperOneClick is that it was designed for stock gingerbread/froyo, so it has the potential of breaking something. Hope this helps.
EDIT:
Alternatively, you could try pushing su to the device with adb (depends on how you lost root):
Code:
adb shell mount -o rw,remount -t ext4 /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/system /system
adb push su /system/xbin/
adb shell chmod 06755 /system/xbin/su
... with this file (extracted).

new problem
I am now running cyanfox which runs android 4.4 and Google.process.gapps has stopped keeps popping up. To get rid of it I have to do a factory reset but after a few days it always comes back. I have Googled the problem and tried numerous things to try to fix it but everything only works temporary. What should I do besides get another phone? I can't afford that right now.

I wouldn;t suggest another phoen is things are working well genrally. The problem could lie in the GApps package or the ROM itself. I use the PA Gapps package. If you are having rouble with that one, try from a different date. Just wipe dlavik in between to prevent any nastyness.
If it still persists, try another ROM, like Carbon.
tried installing the new gapps
So far, so good but I won't know for sure for a few days. I'll keep you up to date. Thank you
what version of android is carbon?
Do you have the link for carbon rom for Samsung infuse 4g? And what version of android is it? My phone runs better with those gapps but I am still getting the same problems. I will give it a try but if carbon doesn't work I am definitely going to have to just get another phone. So far I'm. 0-2 on custom roms for this phone. I thought cyanfox would of worked cause I got it off of xda, which really makes me think this phone has some sort of hardware problem but carbon has been around longer. So maybe it will work better.
Carbon is on XDA as well too, and it is based on CM 11 / Android 4.4 Kitkat:

Hope this works for you... :fingers-crossed:
problems solved
It appears it was definitely a problem with the ROM. Phone has been operating 100% better. :victory: My cache needs to be cleared frequently and some minor problems with the Facebook back but when isn't there problems with Facebook lol. But as soon as I clean out the cache from my apps, everything is running like new again. I greatly appreciate your help. I can't thank you enough.
Was working great then more problems
Joel,
Carbon was running great for me but then all of a sudden android.process.acore has stopped kept popping up along with all sort of other things stopping then eventually GApps not working again. I have erased my contacts, Erased Media, unchecked all my Syncs, I have tried all sorts of other Gapps packages and even another ROM (cyanogen 11) and they work to begin with then the same problems keep coming back. Is it because I went from Gingerbread right to Kitkat? My phone hasn't worked for about a week now with me trying all different ways to fix it. Do I need to install Ice Cream Sandwich then Jellybean before going to Kitkat or do I just need to try even more GApps? I used to install new ROMs all the time but android has changed so much over the last couple years and when i had to get rid of my old phone and went back to my Infuse 4g the old ROM was just completely outdated and now I can't seem to get this right. The phone itself is still a great phone and I don't understand why I am having these issues. I factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik, install new ROM, install GApps, wipe cache again, and wipe dalvik again. I usually don't wipe the cache or the dalvik until after the ROM and GApps install but just lately have been doing the extra wipe just in-case because nothing else is working. But that has failed too. You have been a great help so far and I can't seem to fix this on my own, so again I turn to you for help. Please help me figure this out.

It's possible. I mentioned this before somewhere, but this could be the after-effect of a small /datadata partition, which having a separate partition is standard in a KitKat ROM (at least for this phone). When it fills up, there's no telling what happens.
Both BeanStalk and CM11 have /datadata partition alternatives (the separate partition has been abandoned) built in. You may want to try one of those:

Unfortunately I couldn't find something similar for Carbon.
Thank you!!!!!!
I hate to count my chickens before they're hatched but I truly believe that was the problem. Even Facebook works now. But I thought I had it fixed before then just under a week and it completely messed up and I couldn't even get it to work for a day after that. But it works now. I can't thank you enough. If you ever come across one for Carbon ROM please let me know. This is a good ROM but I liked Carbon better. Again, thank you Joel. :good::good:
Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry to bother you again Joel but I have a major problem again and I dont even know wht happenned. You have helped me through evrything so far and I couldn't be more thankful. There may be nothing you can do to help me, I don't know. I was using my phone as A Wifi Hotspot when out of know where as soon as i got on facebook on my tablet my phone rebooted on it's own into Clockworkmod recovery. when I reboot it, it goes right back into recovery, it wont read the internal sd card and it wont install any zip off any inserted sd card(it reads them but wont install anything, it always pops up with android guy on his back with a red X and a generic error). it lets me erase cache but won't erase delvik cache or format anything, the screen just flashes and it pops back a screen. I dont think the phone overheated because it wasnt hot to the touch at all. I was only using it as a wifi hotspot for about 30 minutes when it happenned. i had used it as a hotspot many times before with no problems and i dont know how it woud be a virus when i wasnt on any abnormal sites. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

If you can get into Download Mode, I would Odin back to stock. Are you AT&T or Rogers? There are a couple recent threads in this forum with download links, although people have been having difficulties with finding the AT&T variety.
Unfortunately, that's all I can recommend. Good luck.
we'll see how this works out
I just checked and it will go into download mode. So I guess I just need to find the AT&T thread of Oden and hopefully that works. I have never done it that way before but I read your previous response much earlier in this thread on how to do it and it sounds pretty simple so hopefully I can do it. If you can find a link to the at&t version before me it would definitely help but I will see what I can find.

I would recommend Option D for what you need, but AFAIK, the links on this page are dead.
If you go to the last page though, there is a link for Option C, which would work for your needs. Hope this helps.
Edit: after thinking about it, just realised that I could have posted this in the main thread of the rom mentioned here... Silly me... Thread move?
Hi everyone
I've recently purchased an Xperia L for my wife, currently running stock rom 15.3.A.1.17 (again), unrooted
I really want to update it to something newer, and looking at the rom list, it's hard to figure out which will be appropriate.
Unfortunately, I'm also not well versed in these sort of things (had my small share of trail and errors though)
Inquiry 1
My main concern is that I want to use the Sony UI. I tried BlissPop but it just didn't do it for me, I simply like the Sony UI and the things that the Sony comes with (particular the camera app)
And though I know I can probably install a lot of those things afterwards, I do also have a lot of Sony products, thus having it all from the get-go is much more convenient than trying to get it all back on
So what I found from the rom list was PrimeXperia - http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/development/rom-primexperia-lp-sony-s-official-t3103905
I want to know if there are any other firmwares out there using the Sony UI or not, just for comparisons.
Inquiry 2
Let's say that there's only PrimeXperia, looking at the installation instructions, I see that it uses a recovery menu.
Now, my Xperia L is currently unrooted (and I haven't found a way to root it without having to use vRoot yet (don't want that on my phone)), is it possible to still flash a recovery menu unto the phone?
I have flashtools, and I have tried flashing TWRP (and a Cyanmod one at one point) using Fastboot, and it seemed to run even without rooting my phone first, will it actually function correctly or will the lack of root cause problems?
So my concern is, without having to root my phone, can I use Fastboot mode on Flashtools to flash a recovery menu onto my phone? Which of course, if I can, now I need to find PhilZ Touch Recovery to do so.
Inquiry 3
In the instructions, it says to Wipe Cache Partition and Dalvik/ART Cache, will this wipe data, settings, apps, etc also? Or does it only wipe the system stuff so that when I install the new firmware, it'll simply operate as normal with my apps and stuff still on?
Reason I ask this is because I remember something (from a long time ago) about only wiping/flashing certain things to ensure that user related things are still intact - just want to make sure
Inquiry 4
And just to make sure I know what I'm doing, as per instructions, I'm still within the recovery menu where I select the rom (zip file) and choose to install it, right?
Inquiry 5 - last one
Finally, it says that users reported wifi to not work and the solution was to flash ThunderZap, where is that? Is that within the download link (currently not home so unable to check)?
Sorry for the hassle and thank you for the help in advance

Ah yes, sorry, forgot to mention that the Xperial L is already unlocked
And thanks for letting me know about StryFlex
Previously, I unlocked my phone, and it got caught in a boot loop, so I used Flashtool to try and flash a stock rom I found again.
I then tried rooting using vRoot, and installing TWRP Recovery via their app, but it would never install. Thus, I did Fastboot and installed it via img file (https://twrp.me/devices/sonyxperial.html - twrp-2.8.7.0-taoshan)
However, when booting into the recovery menu, there was a graphical glitch the menu was flipped around, and text information all duplicated and overlaid itself.
Is this due to the fact that I'm not rooted when I did this? Let alone the method of installation may not have been correct?
Nevertheless, I did the standard wipe (basically picked wipe and then slid the slider over to wipe) that's in there to prepare installation for BlissPop. When going to Install and choosing the BlissPop zip file, it would give me an error - thus... I my phone could not boot anymore and BlissPop wouldn't install.
I then downloaded Resurrection Remix LP, thinking maybe it was a bad file I had, zip had the same error.
I read somewhere about flashing the kernel and the files they talked about involved downloading X firmware and flashing the boot image file, so I extracted the RRLP to my computer, and flashed the boot image file in there - the phone turned on and went straight into recovery mode, this time, with the Cyanogen Recovery.
I did the wipes that were available in it again, then did the BlissPop again, and this time, it worked.
Of course, not liking BlissPop because I want the Sony interface, I'm back to the standard stock rom, looking to update - however, do I need to?
Given that 4.2.2 is all the Xperia L officially got, compared to the 5.1.1 that's out now, I'm just wondering about performance in general - would installing LolliPop actually run better than JellyBean? Or is JellyBean the technical limit of the Xperia L, which is why, alongside the fact that it's older now, that Xperia L only lasted to 4.2.2?
EDIT: Just found my answer from a different post you made:
SdtBarbarossa said:

This is an interesting statement... Could potentially downgrading the firmware give a performance boost? For example, maybe 4.1.2 - though may not have the same updated features or look of 4.2.2, as long as it still can do just about everything, and possibly use less RAM, does it technically mean it should run faster? Etc - basically, which Android would be the optimal spec that the Xperia L is suited to? Just a general inquiry this one.

So, on the assumption that LolliPop would perform better and the android versions should have improvements in each one and it isn't phone specific, if I was to install StryFlex, it says to use the TWRP Recovery. If it's like anything mentioned in my above experience, will I have any issues installing StryFlex? Or would I do it as a one-two combo again? Using TWRP to wipe the things mentioned in the installation instructions, then flash in the Cyanogen Recovery kernel to run the zip and install StryFlex?
What you've also mentioned is that wiping the cache and dalvik cache won't affect apps and settings, in the instructions for StryFlex, it says to change filesystem, then change only system (filesystem?), data and cache partition (without having the phone with my right now, I can't quite imagine what this is, let alone what the instructions are talking about right now), when I swipe to confirm and format these partitions, will I lose data? Will it be as SdtBarbarossa mentioned... it needs a clean install? ...
Sorry for the questions... Really thinking this should have been in the other post lol...
Downgrading is not logically... 4.4 and newer roms need lower ram then old roms (if you want me to explain google... No time for this... But its the truth)
I pmed you

Let's start from the beginning, and by advance excuse me for my poor English : I happen to be a delighted owner of the Oneplus One by the Oneplus company. I've flashed different versions of cyanogen on my phone, rooted it multiple times and I never encountered any kind of problems. Thus, until I decide yesterday to flash the latest release of cyanogen, cm13 (nightly). I did some researches, followed the usual steps, flashed the right opengapps version along with cm13 and.. everything went great. Except that my phone couldn't resolve himself to detect my SIM card anymore. I tried different things in order to solve the problem, including re-wipe the phone "factory reset" style, removing SIM card, wait for the phone to cool down and played with data roaming, but nothing worked. Fortunately I had my fresh nandroid backup waiting to be restored. That's when the real deal start :
even after having restored the full nandroid backup (which make me downgrade to cm12.1), the SIM card wasn't detected.
So I decided to wipe data, dalvik, cache and system, in order to get my phone back to its original state. But the problem remains, and worst of all, the phone now tends to reboot punctually without any reasons.
I surely did something wrong for the phone to end in this state, but I can't see what..
I use TWRP 2.8.7.0 custom recovery, and the phone OS is now cm12.1-YOG4PAS3JL.
Oneplus One 64GB.
Sorry for the length of the complaint, and by advance thanks for your answers.
P.S : I did tried to search for similar threads in the forum, but I didn't manage to found anything that was directly related.
It could be an issue with the modem not being flashed properly when you went from Lollipop to Marshmallow due to TWRP 2.8.7.0. Try TWRP 2.8.6.0, and then either restore the nandroid backup or clean wipe + reflash CM13 nightly.

Thanks a lot for your response. I've been searching a lot and the problem effectively seems to be the modem not being flashed properly. So I tried to flash it manually, (found the file 2 threads higher, sorry I can't post links yet) via fastboot and then flashing cm13 (with twrp 2.8.6.0), considering the fact it seems to have worked for others.
But no matter what I do, the issue remains : the phone isn't able to detect SIM card and goes into crash, rebooting every 2mn..
I've tried to flash cm13 unnoficial version by sultan, following his instructions, but no improvement either.
Even my nandroid backup (running cm 12.1) can't detect SIM anymore, have serious wifi connectivity issues, and keeps rebooting randomly at very reguliar intervals..
I'm really beggining to feel hopeless,
but thanks again for your time and your advices, really apreciate it.
It seems that I have same problem..... after flashing CM13 and restoring backup
Any progress with this problem?
Edit - If my phone is connected into PC with USB cable it doesnt restarts

Same for me, the phone stops crashing and rebooting randomly once connected to pc via USB cable. But still doesn't recognize SIM card. Wifi also seems to work better.
No further progress unfortunately, I've tried everything, from restoring the phone to its factory state to flashing all "stable" roms (cyanogen), nothing worked.

Already saw it, but thanks ^^ that's where i found my file modemst.bin
so did it work for you ?
The same thing happened to me last week. I was using Materialized TWRP 2.8.7.0, which I think caused issues with my updating of Sultanxda's 13.1 ROM. SIM card was never detected, phone would restart shortly after every boot. I tried everything I could find to get my baseband and IMEI back.
In the end, only this solution worked for me, and I had to do it twice. I don't know why.
I had the same problem. I got back to TWRP 2.8.6.0 and then flashed the latest CM13(wiped System). after that without wipe i flashed sultans's CM13 then gapps and got the sim working again.

Thanks for the link. I tried to flash the zip, but twrp(2.8.6.0) gave me an error : Error flashing ONEPLUS+ONE-FIX-Windows.zip
I tried to clean flash it and dirty flash it, nothing seems to work.

I've tried multiple times, it doesn't work. SIM card is not recognized, phones goes to reboot after 30s of use.
Whatever rom I flash the problem ain't solved, even after factory reset from original OS (cm 12.1)..
I really begin to think there is no solution, I've tried to flash my phone at least 20 times with different roms, fix, firmwares, modem, everything that is available on the net and I couldn't notice even the slightest change in the comportment of my phone.
Anyway, thanks a lot for your proposal, I guess it HAVE to work, but for some irrational reason it doesn't...

Did U flash over TWRP or ADB?
Just popping in to say I have the same problem. I'm trying the various solutions presented in the thread and I'll come back and report if anything worked. I would also appreciate any other suggestions that you may have
For the record, I got into this predicament through the following steps:
1. I was flashing some CM nightly (sorry, I don't remember which one), and after reboot the touch screen didn't work anymore
2. I flashed the OxygenOs .zip that I had saved on internal storage through TWRP
3. After flash touch screen worked but no sim detected
4. Flashed CM 12.1 still no sim
5. Flashed back to OxyOs, still no sim. Curiously I am unable to reboot via software.
Anyway, I basically have all weekend to work on this, so awayyyy we go!
---
<Edit>
Wow that was fast. I followed this guy's instructions (fastboot flashing modemst, then CM12.1) and it seems to be working like a charm! Good luck everybody else!

I flashed via TWRP(2.6.8.0) and via ADB for modemst1.bin and modemst2.bin.
By the way, there's a little improvement : I flashed kalkulin's_stock_OPO Rom and that stopped my phone from rebooting.
Now cm13 is running kinda fine, except it still doesn't detect SIM card, even after reflashing modemst1 and modemst2
Edit : When I try to flash oxygenos, oneplus fix or cm12.1, (roms that are supposed to fix sim detection problem), it doesn't work : Error flashing Zip file. via adb or twrp, that's the same. (excepting the fact that error in adb is about trustzone)
I think my efs partition is somehow corrupt, and unfortunately i have no way to restore it.

It's not supposed to be flashed. Unzip the archive on a Windows PC, then use the .bat files in there to fix your phone.

Effectively, I kinda did things completely wrong there, sorry. (I'm an exclusive linux user for my defense ^^)
Okay guys, I finally solved my problems.
Here's what I did to fix reboot crashes and SIM detection issues :
-Flash TWRP(2.8.6.0)
-Wipe everything except internal storage
-Flash Calkulin's_Stock_OPO_XNPH44S_ROM_v1.0.zip (can't post links yet, sorry)
-Boot system
-Once done, reboot to bootloader (in command prompt : sudo adb reboot bootloader)
-In command prompt, type the following commands (It will delete modem and /persist partition ! be careful) :
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot erase persist
-If you need to fix "Unable to mount /persist" error in TWRP :
adb shell
make_ext4fs /dev/block/mmcblk0p15
-Flash Oxygen OS (i flashed oxygen_1.0.0_flashable.zip)
That should restore EFS and fix the issues.
Well, that was kind off a pain in the ass, but now my problem is solved, and i'm currently running cm13 quite fine.
Make a backup of your EFS partition.
Thanks to all the people that helped me by posting in this thread !
It's a nightly build, it bound to have some problems.
i am having bootloop issue, tried many roms, erased partition too, still no use. continuous bootloops

I don't know, but I tried to install AEX as soon as I unlocked bootloader, and I wasn't successful after that. Also wasn't successful with that method for some freaking reason, I think 20 minutes of waiting at first boot should be more than enough.
1. Turned USB debugging on
2. Took out the whole SIM/microSD tray
3. flashed RETUS using erase bat and rebooted to bootloader
4. I booted the wrong twrp image (unofficial) but rebooted to bootloader right after and booted on normal one, formatting System, Data, Cache and Internal Storage and using Format Data option
5. Flashed copy-partitions-AB.zip using sideload and rebooted to bootloader to come back in
6. Wiped System, Data, Cache and Internal Storage, went to bootloader to fastboot erase userdata and booted back to TWRP
7. Flashed ROM and TWRP-installer in this order using sideload
8. Wiped System, Data, Cache and Internal Storage, went to bootloader to fastboot erase userdata and booted back to TWRP
9. Flashed Magisk also using sideload
10. Changed to SLOT B and rebooted to system while the tray was still out
It's since been 20 minutes and 1 restart (only after the 20 minutes to see if it'd change anything)
For some freakish reason I followed #138's instructions to a T and it worked, booted in around 4 minutes (Though I also did it with SIM tray off, and after rebooting to install Gapps and Magisk it booted in less than a minute, looking great for this ROM)
EDIT: It couldn't recognize SIM for some reason, so I'll try reflashing without Gapps or something. Also didn't work, will try my brother's SIM tomorrow (Also the home button doesn't quite work? At least without gapps, for some reason) and the borders are messy, clock and battery circle are way too much to the side. Notifications don't work too, and I don't quite have a Quick Settings. (If it changes anything I was RETBR before)
Apparently my SIM died, yeah... Also doesn't work on stock Or not since it still works on other phones, but I can't get SIM cards to work, at least on stock... (This is also from RETBR img, so that wasn't the problem)

So yeah, after many tries of installing Custom ROM my device doesn't recognize SIM cards anymore... It can still recognize microSD and they still work on other phones, I have no idea if this is a software or hardware problem (They worked every time I had to go back to stock while doing it, up until my last successful attempt at installing CrDroid official by @Rondeau79, sry for the tag)
EDIT: I only saw this thread afterwards, but unless I'm dumb it didn't work
(Already tested both slots after running those commands, none of them works)

After the whole custom ROM fiasco I went back to stock, and if reflashing stock on fastboot works I did that many times with the SIM on another phone, still nothing
Okay, maybe this is some insight. I can't check any IMEIs on it at all, though on my old phone I can even check IMEI2 when I only have one card. If it was a number ban it shouldn't work on my G5 with Custom ROM, but on the other hand if it was an IMEI ban it should still work on a fully stock G7 Play I have. And there's "Baseband: (not found)" on fastboot. Any way I can fix IMEI or something?
EDIT: If I run fastboot getvar all I can still see IMEI though, so maybe they just changed it on newer phones ;-;
