[Completed] Android network issue - XDA Assist

Hello all, I'm having a weird networking issue that is only affecting one of my android devices, It's a brand new cube i7 remix running android 4.4
I noticed my android device drops it's network connectivity. It stays connected to my router but it drops connectivity then reconnects but does it all over again. it does this every 2-4 minutes. I viewed this in the wifi fixer app i downloaded.
now whats weird is i was using the tablet at a friends house and it was fine but when i came home i noticed this happening, i also checked it using my karma hot spot and everything was fine. only when i connect to my home network does this happen.
I honestly don't know how to trouble shoot this, i rebooted my router, i changed the dns. nothing. I could really use some help. thank you

[Completed] NEC Terrain - Slightly Defective Device?

I bought my NEC Terrain from Arad Systems on Amazon as a network unlocked device in "Used - Like New" condition. However, I've been noticing some issues since my purchase. First of all, my battery life is trash. 4 hours at most from this device - even with the screen off. I tried doing a wakelock detection but it didn't help much. Also, WiFi seems to be buggy. It will randomly disconnect from the network sometimes, and other times it just won't be able to connect to a specified WiFi network at all. Rebooting seems to temporarily fix the problem.
Can anyone give me some insight on how to solve any of these issues? Perhaps I just bought a defective device?
EDIT: Forgot to mention, but also I've noticed that sometimes my screen will "flicker" (the brightness will rapidly go slightly lower and reset to normal on its own) if I do things like scroll on a webpage or view videos.

Hi there,
I'm sorry but I can't find anything related to your question/device except this rooting thread: [Q] Unlocking of NEC Terrain SIM/Root
Please post that in the forum bellow for more answers from the experts (you are already Senior Member and I suppose you know how things works, right?):

Good luck
Will move thread to Q&A. Wasn't clear on the differeence between "assist" and "q&a/troubleshooting", so I just put it here.

[Completed] I recently received a Cube U65GT. The power and volume are slots - how to use

There was nothing in the box to insert in the slots and pressing on the hole and surrounding areas for varying periods doesn't do amythinpg and I cannot see any way of telling whether the device is charged or charging. No support is available in Canada. Only advice I get from computer shops is to throw it away. This appeal for help
Is probably too nooobie to get an answer but I thought I would try before destroying what in other respects seems a good device

Hello, and thank you for using XDA Assist!
I suppose you have contacted the seller with this issue, and they have been less than helpful. It could be that the battery is dead on it (or worse in this situation, not present) so try leaving it plugged in for some time before attempting to make contact again.
In the mean time, please register for an account so you can post in other forums. The Cube Talk 9x/U65GT Equipped with MTK8392, the 8-core Chipset Devoted to Tablet PCs thread (in the > Android Development and Hacking > Android General > forum) seems to be where your device experts can be found.
If no luck there, you can also try the [Ask Any Question][Newbie Friendly] thread (> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting).
Hope this helps, and good luck!

[Completed] Cello T1144 Need help with ROM

Hello,
Recently I bought a tablet Cello T1144 v2 through ebay and it does not work properly. I can not connect to a wireless network. I try to turn the wireless settings on and see how the slide moves to "ON" and immediately turns "OFF". Also its sometimes reboots randomly. Before I decide that this is hardware issue, I want to reinstall Android, but I cant find ROM for this tablet.
I tried to contact Cello support and asked, but no luck -- they only said that I can send them tablet and they will reinstall it for charge. But it is very non economical for me. Maybe somebody had this tablet or can provide some useful links where I can find ROM? I would be grateful for any information about ROM for this tablet

[Completed] Eonon GA2114 Wiring Mod

I'm a real Noobie both to this forum and to Android devices, anyway, I have installed a GA2114 head unit and all works fine but I was considering a slight mod to the installation. Instead of connecting the head to the ACC line I am considering connecting it to a permanent live. I know this will put a slight drain on the battery but I am thinking it will be a bit like closing the lid of a laptop and putting the unit into sleep mode when the head unit is switched off.
Before I make it permanent I will check the current drain using a multimeter and, if it is low enough for it to be a viable proposition, can anyone tell me if it is likely to have any detrimental effect on the Android system itself.
As witth my laptops I would not leave it in "sleep" mode continuously, I'd probably give it a full reboot about once a week (I would have a switch to cut the supply mounted in the glovebox).
Can anyone advise me on this? Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hi, thanks for your reply and advice, being a bit of chancer I went ahead with the mod and connected the HU ACC line to the permanently live line via an in line fuse and isolating switch. The current draw with the HU switched off is 1.4 milliamps, that is a lot less than my ECU, on board trip computer, clock, etc. so I don't see it as being a problem.
The mod had the desired effect, bypassing the boot stage from "sleep" mode and starting in the last used configuration. If I encounter any problems with this setup I will report them on this site so that others tempted to do the same can learn by my mistakes.
For long term parking, airports etc., the supply can be killed by the isolating switch should anyone be worried about getting a flat battery.
Many thanks again for your reply. :good::good:

[Completed] Lenovo K3 Note High FCS error and Tx Ok = 0

Hi, I am having issues with my K3 Note wifi for past few days. Sometime it works fine but sometimes it doesn't. It disconnects from the network. When I restart wifi, it takes too long to find the access point and sometimes doesn't find any. I have checked my router and it is working fine. Same network works on my laptop and other phones but doesn't work my lenovo. Even when it finds the network, it doesn't connect to the network. I went into engineering mode and did wifi Rx Tx, test. Tx test show lot of FCS error and Tx ok value is plane 0. Can anyone tell what is the problem. And please never buy lenovo phones. Yeah they are cheap but they are also trash at the same time. A phone should reliable and the piece of trash these Chinese companies make. Spend few more bucks and get a better phone.
