SMS Sync? - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I regularly switch between the OPO and S6, I'm looking for an app that syncs my SMS between the two. Right now I'm backing the texts up, uploading it to Google drive, then downloading and restoring the file. This is very time consuming as I don't delete my texts very often and have over 15k texts stored.
The only app I've found to do this is mysms but it's a paid service, I'm looking for a free app or much cheaper than what mysms charges... Any suggestions?

Yeah this is what I'm using now. I was hoping to find something that does it automatically instead of manually having to backup and restore.

[Q] Autosync selected folders to online storage

Is there a way to do this?
Specifically, a way to sync my pictures and videos to some sort of online storage as and when I take them, or at a preset interval.
Just now, my phone and laptop weren't playing nice and it wouldn't mount as USB. So, I disconnected from USB. Now, I find a bunch of pictures and videos and lord knows what else have just disappeared. I'd like to be able to have a constant back up of these things.
I think dropbox has this feature. You only get 2GB free, buy a very useful app.

I know Titanium Backup has a feature called 'Media Sync' that does just that, too.
Dropbox is great btw.

Dropbox will not do this by itself but, Titanium Backup Media Sync seems like it will use Dropbox to do it for me. Thanks!

Can dropsync sync game saves between two android devices?

Hi
I'm trying to set dropsync up so that it can synchronise game saves between my two phones. However I'm having trouble getting dead space to sync. Where does it store it's game saves? Have synced the app's whole data folder and still the game saves don't sync.
Thanks
Steve
Maybe you should try the app called data sync ?

Never heard of data sync. I'll give it a try tonight. Would I be able to set it up to automatically sync the saves between the two devices?
Thanks
Steve
Try app sync it does what you want but for now you have to open the app on both devices. The creater said that the need up day will have for automation in it. You can search for the app on here or look in the market

I've just tried both app sync and data sync. Both seem good. I think I prefer data sync because it lets me use dropbox so I don't need to have both my phone and my tablet on me to sync. I just wish it would automatically sync every time the game save file was changed. Lazy I know but it would mean that I could just pick up either device then start playing.
Thanks
Steve
Datasync does this. Syncs to Box.net or dropbox.

Does datasync require root? I have a galaxy s3 rooted, but I'd rather not root my infinity...

Google security

Is google safe? Such as the data I store on it and pictures on auto backup?

To a certain extent. I believe you can store up to 500 photos before it starts deleting the oldest one. All other data like calendars and contacts seem pretty secure to me.

Try MightyText. Also lets you read/send texts from your PC.
I also think you can get the same using PushBullet.

Hmmm PushBullet looks promising... I installed mightytext a while ago but could only see it on a PC, not 2 phones. I'll look at it again tho.

I was using "Super Backup SMS + Contacts". It creates a backup file on your phone or you can upload it to GDrive/Dropbox/whatever. Than simply restore this file on your second phone.

Recommended App for MMS over Wi-Fi?

Not sure which app works the best. Hangouts doesn't do it for me, stock app doesnt. Is there an app or settings configuration that will get this going for me? Data is bad at my house so MMS takes days.

You could try converting your friends to apps like telegram or whatsapp and send multi media messages over WiFi or data. I personally use tele green and my friends after making the switch love using it as well.

Unfortunately, that means my family, and they are about as tech-savvy as a 90 year old

Textra has the option to use MMS wifi. I just put my phone in airplane mode, turned on wifi, and was able to send an MMS.
One word... Line, look for it in the playstore.
