By overheating do you mean throttling OR warning message popping up OR simply the phone getting warm?

It is normal... The cpu is the best (or near the best) on the market and well optimized but the overheating is a common problem on every phone...
Try to gaming in the freezer!

normal
Hi,
The last threads about pseudo "overheating" (read the explanations): http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help/cpu-temp-70-c-t2695518 or maybe this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help/nexus-5-overheating-help-please-t2684975, plus all the others...
At least provide your CPU temp to see...
That area has the SoC (CPU + GPU) with the RAM stacked directly on top of it. It will always get warm there and spread out.
If you hold the phone near the bottom and it will rarely feel warm.

Heating problem in Xiaomi mi 4i

While charging with an AC source this device gets heated up very fastly, even when the RAM usage is 60% its thermal response acts like that all its 8 cores are overloaded.

Cpu is heating

My problem is that the cpu temp usually above 50 C even whiout use and sometimes jumps to above 60
Is that normal?
And does it affects the device hardware especially I don't see lag usually so I think it don't affect the performance
Thanks

The overheating is abnormal, unless you are performing very intensive tasks such as heavy gaming. Also, if you keep it in the sun for an extended period of time it will get hot and maybe get damaged. If it continues to bother you get it replaced.

High minimum display brightness in manual mode

Hello guys, my minimum brightness in manual mode is way higher than min with automatic brightness. I faced this problem in all roms, also on stock Miui. I read that with with Marshmallow Miui devs reached a higher brightness on both low and high side... Is this the source of the problem?

[Help]Overheating issues

So I just bought this used Z3 D6603 and everytime i use it for about 2 minutes, the top back of the phone starts to heat fast af. I tried to use cpu z to monitor the cpu speed but it was about 300mhz so I dont think that its the processor that is causing the phone to overheat. Or maybe is it the kernel?
Flash a different firmware or update it.
