Hi,
I have a S6 that won't stop resetting and won't connect to the network.
It started about 4 weeks ago when I restarted my phone. It wouldn't connect to the network and every 2 min 5 sec it would reset on its own. I would also get an error message that a process has stopped working whenever I tried to use a system app or shut down the phone normally. This event has happened 6 times now.
Today I went and got a new SIM card to try and see if that was the problem. About 4 min after the new card was put in I tried to replicate the problem for VZW. It happened and in order to get it fixed I had to leave the phone powered down for 5 mins.
I tried resetting the phone when I got home because I lost my 3rd party apps when I tried to disable them and see if that would fix it. No I still don't have the apps back but they are still installed, this is a problem for later.
Right now it has been about 90 mins since I lost my network and letting the phone rest for 30 mins or longer I still can't seem to get it back and the phone resets every 1 min 5 sec.
Any suggestions?

Are you rooted? You could odin back to stock.
It is a stock S6.

What firmware?
Have you tried SmartSwitch? It is supposed to have tools for diagnosing and fixing problems from what I hear.

I returned my old GS3 and got a new one today and I rooted, unlocked the bootloader, and installed TWRP all with the one click method from beanstown. Then, for the last 4 hours, I've been trying to transfer my rom file/gapps/kernel zips and they will not transfer and I feel like I've tried everything. The error I get is "The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected." This happened on my old GS3 but I was usually able to fix it with a reboot. And now it's doing it on my new GS3 stock rooted but reboots aren't fixing it. It obviously is a driver issue because it isn't working on my new GS3, but I've tried reinstalling the drivers to no avail. I've rebooted about a thousand times and it still isn't working. It basically starts copying, the green progress bar goes about an inch to the right, freezes for about 5-10 minutes, and then gives me the error message. What can I do to fix this? I know I can transfer through wifi but that'll make it take a long time and I might get a corrupted transfer, plus I want to get this to work
Well hooray I fixed it. The solution was to use a different usb port, which I tried about 4 hours ago but it turns out my third usb slot was the winner
Got my note back in November, rooted through odin in December. Everythings been grand and perfect.
Till I watched a video on youtube 2-3mnths ago about good rooted apps (wanted to get more daring other than xposed) loaded gsm gestures app? I think was the name. Kept it for a week, didnt use it. Uninstalled it, phone rebooted, instead of the normal "app uninstalled"
After that my phones been laggy, freezes, and freezes and turns off. Its factory wiped itself 8 times. I have countless posts on Reddit timelining everything. Long short is, tried liquid smooth to see if that would fix my problem, lost text messaging with that could only text for an hr a day, flashed stock sprint firmware and rerooted afterwards, have been slow to reload apps on phone, incase of factory reset or whatever. my phone is now taking 75+ batter pulls to get into a normal boot, every 15bat pulls it jumps into download mode "could not do normal boot ddi_mms read fail" and now an ssl text ive only seen once today, ill try and write that down if it happens again.
Finally when I get back into my phone, sometimes I have to update prl to get service again, the other day my phone lost signal and all my network settings were unselected, I had to select them all and my phone was fine, then I was on the phone and it cut me out in the middle of a call and said roaming lost or something, and I had to reapply cdma/lte on sprint.
Im beyond frustrated, im getting married in 2 weeks, and going out of country immediately after, so I need a working phone as most my business is conducted through it. I have no upgrade on sprint, and cant afford to throw out 400$ for a "new" note 4
Please please please someone help me.
Thanks for your time.
Matt
Hi,
Here's a thread on returning to stock firmware. That should give you a fresh start,

If you want to find other options, you could ask for other ideas in your device section here,

Good luck!
I've got some very strange issues happening since the latest T-Mobile update to baseband G930TUVU2APC8.
The phone is a T-Mobile Galaxy S7 with a Sandisk 200GB micro SD card installed
Whenever I'm on a phone call through a my Jawbone Era (and charging; I haven't tried it unplugged) the phone will behave as if it did a reboot, without actually rebooting, every few minutes. The phone will stop responding for about 20 seconds, then show just the wallpaper for about 5 seconds, then go back to the lock screen. At this lock screen it requires me to enter my password instead of using fingerprint as if it had just powered up. The phone call does not drop through all of this.
The next issue is that some pictures taken from the quick launch are sometimes not saved. I'm not 100% sure that this only happens after the reboot issue above, but I think it does. I have secure startup disabled .
I tried a factory reset which did not fix the issue, contacted t-mobile and was sent a replacement device that still has the problem. None of this was happening prior to the latest update.
Has anyone else experienced these issues? Also, is it possible to downgrade the firmware version?
Thank you,
Matthew

The problem started in PB8 firmware, PC8 firmware has constant wifi dropout issues, you might find even that at 3G connection performing better than fiber optic wifi internet.
Easiest is to update facebook to latest version and see how many "can not connect right now" errors.
Random reboots is normal never mind how many times your factory reset or do a full firmware PB8 flash.
T Mo is not the brightest tools in the shed, it takes 5 visits to their T Mo offices to get the accounts and products purchased + refunds for items payed in cash or freebies refunded etc etc etc.....
Last night, I was trying to play a 1080p, 60 fps video while connected to data (HSPA), and suddenly my phone died (with 80% battery) and entered into a neverending bootloop.
After I came home, I tried Normal Flash via the LG Flash Tool, and I successfully got it to boot into the OS, only to have it bootloop again after unlocking the phone. Next I tried to CSE Flash which removes literally everything, and it bootlooped the first instance, after restarting again, it somehow managed to enter the login screen and I was able to navigate for a little bit.
After that, I deduced that the coast was clear and that it was safe to rebuild my apps and all, but after I tried to reconnect to our WiFi (I had sim and SD card out), it bootlooped again!
Now I'm on my 2nd CSE Flash to have it forget our WiFi network, and try to see if I can still use the phone functionality. If it can connect to a network and let me make calls/texts it's fine. However, has anyone experienced this before? How did you fix it? What was the problem? My initial deduction was that an application or something was causing the bootlooping, but after a fresh CSE Flash, I don't think that's the case. I also doubt it could be a battery problem, since this phone is barely over a year old (around 4 months over a year) and has not suffered any kind of heavy/extreme damage.
Right now I'm trying to revert it back to Lollipop, if that doesn't work, then I'll try KitKat and see what I get.
Literally, just started facing this issue. Did reverting to lollipop work.
I've had the phone for over 6 months, it'd belonged to my sister before and everything was fine. I got a new phone recently and stopped using J. Just turned it off and put aside. I turned it back on today, it was working fine, until I wanted to do a wipe, nothing happened afterwards. I've had 360 security installed, thought it may be causing problems, so I uninstalled it. Then the phone was supposed to reset and so it did, but it didn't start again. Until this moment it hasn't shown even one sign of life, no random vibrations, no diodes flashing. I read about taking out the battery, powering it for hours, turning on with power+vol, power-vol, whatever. Nothing worked. When I connect it to the PC, it recognizes that something is being connected, tries to install a driver but immediately I get a message that it's failed. Any idea how I may solve this?
