I tried to port Lollipop to our thl 4000 using this tutorial http://www.mtkroms.com/2015/08/install-real-lollipop-on-all-mtk.html with resurrection remix rom
It works almost all
Bugs so far:
-Camera (Only rear, and no video record)
-2g works, 3g no service. (Only SIM1 data)
-Radio FM not sound
I dont renember any other, Wifi, Bluetooth, Games, Audioetc works
For install it, first download this rom http://www.mtkroms.com/2015/07/resurrection-remix-lollipop-rom-for-mt6582.html
Then download my patch (v4b 26/08/2015) https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6ydSl9VOrADNDhnZi1rQmFvWU0
Go to recovery. Make wipes. Install rom, and then install my patch
A bit tweaked and deleted things for be faster

I tested your lollipop ROM and I can confirm this is the best lollipop ROM for our THL 4000.
3G Works fine on both voice and data.
Camera can't connect at all as you mentioned already.
USSD codes not working(Dialer).
Can't show Contacts on SIM.
Only SIM1 can connect to Data as you mentioned.
Network Data connection Goes off anytime.
Network signal goes off when one is busy.
FM force stop.
Developers option force stop after disabling it.
Engineering Mode force stop.
Can't set Ringer tone for SIM2.
Your ROM is nice,I hope developers will look into this topic and help us solve these bugs.

For me Network data works, but only in 2g (maybe you have to enter in dialer -> *#*#4636#*#* and select "only GSM" option)
Contacts of SIM, I dont have any, but maybe is it a option to enable it in the contacts apk

I didn't tried sms sending, but I received two. When I reinstall it I will try. I'm with 4.4 modified by me hehe

What's the size of your boot.img you used to modify the ROM? Is it 16mb? or 5mb?

Is 5.2 Mb or similar. But if you extract kernel from phone with dd or similar, maybe stock kernel will size 16 Mb, but when you redo the kernel, will be 5.2+-
The port is extracting the stock kernel, and the port kernel, and putting the stock zImage in port, and then using it (My english is bad..I hope you understood me)
OK,I understand you well but I am confuse. The boot.image 5mb different from the kernel file which is 4mb. Now,after getting the kernel file from stock ROM,where or which folder in the port ROM should I place the kernel file in?
And can you upload your modified boot.img for me? I can't extract and replace the kernel from stock boot.img to the port boot.img

I recently tried this, but, althought camera worked first time, RIL doesnt worked, and wifi disconnects..
New patch v3b has fix for camera (rear) and flashlight, thanks to the another rom that have it
For me I can send SMS good (SIM1, I only have 1 sim) , only big bug is 3g (and radio FM, that I think is of dev not correctly initialized)

HOW-TO INSTALL
STEPS:
1. Do a Nandroid Backup! Delete this folders from your SD card .android_secure,Android,LOST.DIR
2. Download the ROM
3. Boot directly into CwM Recovery
4. Wipe data/factory reset
5. Go to advanced -->> Wipe Dalvik Cache
6. Install zip from sdcard -->> choose zip from sdcard
7. Flash MIUI beta 1 Realease.zip and then flash the patch file
This is a ported rom from M3A
So may contain bugs, please feel free to report them

btw my experiment with fake hongmi is going great. great performance till now and wifi has same nvram issue.
its kind of strange ROM.. sometimes it feels like regular JB with launcher, sometimes MIUI. argh
and your rom is not working
edit: turns out your libmali file is corrupt. i replaced it, removed aroma installer and flashed.
the rom has almost same bugs as my own port. but your camera is also not working.
awaiting new fixes and newer version. cant use this as of now.

camera is not an issue.. i can fix it too. but the sim management failed again. this makes it unusable for me.
it also could be a bug in original ROM. could you update MIUI and test? my attempt to update it always got me stuck

i am really confused how you all gets Bugs as on my MOB all ROMs work perfectly maybe we have two variants of phone also the MIUI ROM i ported is bugless and performance wise it is very good although free RAM is less but Google Now works on it without any glitch

Upload the patch with the mod files bro or it will be better if you upload the full rom ... i will give you my thread and will update the first post with your roms details and credits also

There are minor bugs like wifi not connecting with dhcp,camera(it is an easy fix),but the main issue is that I can't adb shell into the phone,there is an error "sh can't execute,no file or directory ",something along those lines,I tried to fix it,but no luck.Everthing else seems to work nicely.

there seems to be an update in MOGU M3A MIUI port. Could use it for a more stable ROM
not done yet
that new patch didnt work for me but now i hav solved the camera problem by copy pasting lib files from stock rom to miui using root explorer directly.. copy only lib files having libcam and libcamera words... camera works now. but cant use the rom because of 2 more heavy bugs :banghead:
1. Phone restarts after ending any call..
2. cant scroll smoothly in apps, while scrolling yu feel like yu are scrolling with roughness..
can any1 solve these problems?
sure do post a new version of miui.. and if yu have karbonn a12+ then atleast test the main functions like camera, wifi, sensors, Bluetooth, in app scrolling before releasing the new version. thnx. eagerly waiting..:sly::sly::thumbup:

Current Bugs:
Error Message random times at boot: Check HERE ( I have not tried this, flashing may fix?)
Root Can it be rooted by flashing supersu 2.40? (I haven't tested yet)
ONE WARNING: This does change your model number to D855 in Build.prop. You can prob always change it to D850 but I have not tested that. You can however always flash back to a D850 rom. Which I recommend before flashing back to 100% stock if you ever do.

I think I know how to fix the no-call-audio bug. I'll give it a look this evening, since I've spent one day on AOSP and I'm actually not liking it too much.

I also tried to bake in the cust fix earlier, but it doesn't do anything. Still throws that error.

Though it may carry no weight, I've been running this ROM since I posted that fix. I've had no issue with standard, speakerphone, Bluetooth, headphones, rear speaker sound, etc. Mute works as expected too. This hack was reverse-engineered from CloudyG3 (which, I think, is just the sound drivers and profiles pulled straight from the D85020f ROM); it causes the ROM to handle sound in the way that is identical to his.
Native wifi tethering works flawlessly for me.

You can probably find a TOT somewhere on the international G3 forums, but it won't flash onto a D850 due to the model mismatch.
Rom Status has been changed to STABLE

I hope someone dumps D85021l soon, so that we can get VoLTE working here too. I'll update my fixer zip after, unless you want to integrate it into the base zip (which, by all means, do).
Well, looks like this thread and general interest in stock international ROMs has died, but I still use it. Figure someone else does too.
Patched to D85520w. This uses the original D85020f kernel, as D85021-series kernels are incompatible. Modem has been patched up to D85021r, as that does work for some reason.

No, it should rename it to LG-D850. In-call and normal audio should be functional.

Nice update till now. It only doesn't support my native language, but thats not a problem since Keyboard etc. support it. Performance is also good, tested with antutu 64-bit in performance mode.

Edit: I don't have Battery or heating issues.
I donno, but the phone still seems a little laggy at times. Battery life is not as good at 6.5.6 but a hell of a lot better then 6.6.1.
I just think it's a MIUI thing. Can't wait for CM12.1 to be out of alpha.
Got updated to 6.6.6.0. It fixed battery drain, but phone got hot ! Anyone experienced the same ?

Yeah... the best Stable ROM that I have used till now is the 6.5.6 and it has very less lag with great battery backup.
the new 6.6.6 is good but not good enough and also the UI is still laggy.

after first boot , my sim card wasn't recognized and I got a lot of fc's.

Now I think THIS is thread hi-jacking. Hope OP doesn't mind me answering this. Dude, you will need to flash Stable ROM V6.6.6.0.LXIMICF. If you need the steps for it -I suggest open a separate thread, I want to help but I don't want to get in to trouble. Reply to this post here but linking the separate thread if you need more help on this. I THINK I can help -hopefully.
Problem with SIM 2.
I am unable to change the network mode for SIM 2. There is no preferred network type setting for SIM 2. The network mode cannot be changed even from engineering mode. Is there anyone facing this issue?

As far as i know, you can only use 1 sim for data at the same time.
So if you have set sim1 for 4G (or something), then sim 2 cannot be changed.
This is also very logical, because apps would never now if to use the data from sim1 or sim2.
Try to choose the data on sim2 and then try again to set the preferred type.
This Is Important:
The lockscreen can not be used on this rom due to the inability to edit the kernel on our phones. I included a third part lockscreen app it may lock during setup just unlock it. This part is very important once the phone boots up go through setup when finished go directly to settings/lock screen and security and change lock screen type to none. Then open HILocker and set up the lockscreen or download a different one. If you try to use the stock lockscreen it will freeze phone upon reboot and you will have to start all over. Also I currently dont have my S5 activated so you will have to let me know if data and sms/mms work. This rom is considered in the Beta Stage so things may not work and may never work because of our locked bootloaders. Thanks @kxhan15 for doing some testing for me

Fortunately, i don't use MMS. i'm downloading it now.
So far so good. The rom runs smoothly and i love it. If fixed my auto brightness problem from stock rom too.
Btw, which xposed zip file should i flash?

setup phone remember to disabel lockscreen
I added next lock screen and echo lock screen so you can choose they are alot smoother I recommend Next Lockscreen
To Get MMS working
Open Galaxy Tools grant su access then click in Sec_Ril_Dump
Now Click On MMS PROVISIONING
Now scroll down to MMSC and click on MMSC address
Now enter first one if it doesnt work try second one

i flashed G900V_Fix Safestrap.zip
Then the Rom
Everything went well but the device won't recognize my Sim Card i don't know if it's a modem issue,
But have moved back too pb1 as this phone is my daily Driver,
Why do you think i have the insert sim issue ?

Do you have verizon service? If not you might be able to delete the setupwizard from the settings/app folder and that may work

I don't have verizon service i use this device internationally as unlocked,
But using this ROM it won't detect my sim card and i think its a Radio /Modem issue, do you have a G900v modem i could flash into the rom.

Do you have a verizon S5? If you goto settings/about phone if your baseband shows up the your modem is fine. If you delete SecSetupWizard2015 from the system/app folder it should remove the the invalid sim message. Other than that I dont know
Just a quick question as to what is the correct baseband for this ROM.

Are you on verizon service?
No network
Did not work on my case . No network at all , it show up for a second and go away. ( call not working also ). Try installing 3 time on bok3 , og5 and pb1 baseband , same think no network. On verizon .

I use a G900v(Verizon)
Just to know if i made a mistake , i just reflashed this Rom. Everything works fine except this network issue, it detects network and it loses it in seconds, i get two bars and immediately i get the round error network icon,
I tried to reboot it just does the same, it gains and loses network in seconds, Just like a off and on cycle

@Debuffer, personally, I have no use for all the "extra" functionality of a custom kernel. After the holidays, I'll look into providing a custom kernel along with the stock one (like bhb does with RR). Just out of curiosity, did you install the Kernel Auditor app?

Yeah, I got that part after I went to the site. I was looking for the kernel in a bid to try using it with the ROM. I have been using the ROM for the past 3 hours now and all seems smooth and stable so far. I will keep running it and see, if it stays this way I just may have a new daily driver
Great rom, it runs very well. Only issue with it, is that the torch using gestures is very inconsistent. Similar to what happened when 6.0 roms first came out. It either takes 30 seconds to activate, or never works at all.
Also, the setting to control media volume by default doesn't work. This is the same on cm14.1, so imagine it's not something you can easily change in the rom.
Users with GPS problem only make the flash of this file that will be solved.

great rom, liked it alot, clean installed it without any phone stop errors, bhb27's auditor n govtuner works perfectly aswell
only one issue i have was when i take photos im not able to share them online for some reason (example via watsapp or facebook) it always shows "sharing failed please try again" msg. dont know what happened there i tried re-installing watsapp and also a different camera app but still get the same error.
reverted back to 6.1 for now as i really need photo share as my work is depended on it, although i did notice the pictures i took on 7.1 now in the gallery were corrupt n un-viewable aswell ? was there something i did wrong? should i try flashing again?

There are 2 folders where pictures are stored: DCIM and Pictures
Using the built in file explorer (or a PC), rename each of these. I did DCIM2 and Pictures2, then use your phone to take a picture. Both folders will be recreated. Then, drag and drop everything from the #2 folder into the corresponding "New" folder.
Hassle? Just a bit, but we did just change branches on our android phones :laugh:
