How to customise the Mate 7 official ROM ? (Like GravityBox) - Ascend Mate 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone,
Aller many months using my Mate 7,i'm pretty happy with, but something is annoying me. Well, I had many Samsung devises before and everybody knows that it's really easy to customise anything on it, it's not the same at all with à Huawei device.
I'm aware that Xposed Installer doesn't work properly (so sad) and i was wondering if this were any way to customise our huawei phone ?
I'm talking about True custom, Like sms settings, launcher settings, New features... Etc exactly Like GravityBox.
Thank you all

And, I noticed that the huawei launcher is sometimes refreshing Like the icons dissapear and reappear... It's so annoying ! Do you have some things similar ? Any solutions ?

I guess the easiest way to start is to install some different launcher. I use Apex launcher and pretty happy with it. Various animation effects, tons of icon packs, gestures etc. I think that Nova and others will do more or less the same.
One thing I truly miss is statusbar customization (this battery icon and text with "%" is just horrible). I've tried Flat style bar indicators module, but it does some strange things on my device (GSM signal icon disappears and other), but there are some people that have it working. You should try at least.

I don't want to change the launcher, ireally Like many ios-Like features and i'd Like to keep it.
I tried, but i can't install xposed properly, the normal install bug and the auto recovery and manual recovery neither, the emui recovery is pretty bad !

[Q] New to Android (from iOS)...advice with notifications and status bar

I just got a Samsung S4 (Verizon) because I was tired of Apple's stagnant OS and tiny screens. And I'm a tinkerer, so I'm loving (sort of) the endless ability to change and modify just about everything. And LOVE the big screen (and I have no problem whatsoever putting it in my pocket or using it one-handed...).
I'm encountering a couple of Android frustrations and wondering if anyone can either confirm, "yep, that's how it works", or point me to an app/widget/utility that "fixes" what I'm encountering.
Thanks in advance for your advice.
Notifications and status bar: I have to say I'm missing Apple's red badges that easily call attention to new emails, facebook posts, text messages, etc). I understand that on Android, all notifications show up as those little teeny, tiny white icons in the status bar, amongst the sea of other little white icons (wifi, gps, gestures, bluetooth, etc), making it not always obvious at a quick glance what's new.
I understand swiping down gives me the list of all notifications. But strangely, for such a customizable interface, evidently you have little control over the appearance and order of what's there. For instance, the "ongoing" notifications of WiFi connected shows up at the top, which I dont want to know about at all (along with those from other apps that merely announce the app is working, such as Juice Defender). And others follow in a long list with no particular organization or visual distinction.
I have played with the app SuperStatus Bar to reduce the status bar clutter, but it grinds things to a halt and takes over the notification panel without improving it. I've looked for widgets that show email, sms, etc badges but most are ugly (like most of the email widgets that come with the popular email apps like K-9, Aquamail, etc) or don't function consistently (like Notifier Widget for Facebook).
So, any suggestions or apps that help with this? And thanks to all who have read this all the way to the bottom...
Sorry to know your move to Android wasn't too smooth
I'd recommend you try Floating Notifications once it comes out of beta, holds a bit of promise
You'd get notifications from apps you choose as little floating bubbles.
It isn't too smooth now though.

Apart from that, getting the little wifi icons and bluetooth icons are pretty standard, and if there is a way to remove them, I'm not aware of it.
Also, you could use an app like light flow to make the notification light display a color of your choice based on the notification, it'd let you know exactly what notification you have before you turn the screen on.
I hope I helped

Thanks for your suggestions!
I've been using Notify+ which I like for notifications. The status bar still looks like a mess to me, but I'm sure I'll survive it.
I'm actually starting to get used to the Android way of things and am feeling much better. Loving the bigger screen (Apple is loosing the game in this regard) and the customizability (although this is a double sword when you have some OCD tendencies...).
Sort of wish I'd held out for the Verizon HTC One, rather than the S4. the S4 is great, but I'm finding most of its much-touted whiz-bang features (air gestures and motions) to be gimmicky, buggy, and available in too-few apps).
But all in all, having fun with my new phone!
Thanks again for your suggestions.

[Q] stock tweaks...

hello!
Was wondering if there was a way, or an app/hack available to tweak some small ui elements w/out root...
Love my phone, but there are a few things that I don't like at all and want to change, such as some of the colors (ie. on calender)
Stock system, not rooted (yet =]
huawei G610-U200
There are stock themes on the phone, but they don't change the system ui itself, just icons and such (should these themes change other elements as well? My old htc themes did. If so, them maybe that would do the trick- but they are not changing system colors etc.
btw, any chance thre will be a dedicated forum to this phone any time soon?
Also, if and when I do decide to root, I want to make sure there are some solid roms/kernels avail. for this model- so far I have not found much-
Does anyone know of any out there besides MIUI?
Thanks.

XBlast tools may help. But root is needed at first to install xposed framework.

It's possible to make edge panel persistent?

I was wondering if it's possible to make the panel persistent. I'd like it to be visilbe all the time instead of autohiding when entering apps. Is this even possible with root or custom rom?
Not a whole lot of mods for the Edge. Best mod I've seen is RuggedHunter's AutoCocktail. Search RuggedHunter in the play store. Also that 24hr night clock mod...
Seems like having the panel fully visible would block stuff.
That's pretty cool, even though it's not what I'm looking for. I wonder if it would be difficult to make by myself. I'm a programmer but never tried android modding. When edge panels are active on the home screen, they don't block stuff, maybe that would be possible in normal apps ass well. Is there any developer who could at least give me any hint where to start or if this is even possible to do? I found a simple workaround for this. If you'll start popup window and make it as big as possible, you can use both app and screen all the time. Perhaps it would be possible to force apps to launch as popup which would take entire homescreen except edge?

Editing launchers - various questions.

Greetings! Just joined! Let me start first by saying, thank you for xda and thank you all who contribute and make it the best place to find new cool things for our android phones! This site is one of the most important ones for android stuff. Amazing.
First, the background story:
Im a Sony lover ever since i bought my first Sony Ericsson t610 as a kid (still one of the best phones ever created ) and kept with the brand ever since.
Currently i own Sony Xperia e4g (E2003) on KitKat 4.4.4. Thats all the tech stuff i know about it. xD
I unlocked bootloader, have TWRP as recovery and is rooted managing with SuperSU.
I extremely love the UI of it but no infinite scroll is really bugging me. I found a temporary solution by finding this amazingness:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2103403
The original question simplified:
Can i somehow edit my phones launcher and somehow combine with the one i just linked to?
Of course i want to make it so i can install it on a different phone as well, if and when i buy a different Xperia phone.
The issue i have are that i really dont like some UI elements, I just want the functionality. Im a minimalistic/simplistic kind of guy so Xperia has the perfect UI for me. And no, no launcher gave me any substitute so far, i tried most of them.
I want to try and build my own launcher combining the best of both and maybe as i learn and progress, add even more cool stuff.
But for now, im kinda looking to port my phones launcher and add functionality from another.
Can someone help me achieve this or point me in the right direction?
Detailed changes im looking for:
First, i want to port the launcher so it works on other phones.
Add infinite scroll.
Keep all the design elements (i guess png files, maybe im calling it wrong) and only fill in elements from the linked launcher to functions that my launcher doesnt have by default. Ill design the rest of the elements to fit my phones launcher theme.
I want to remove the Z launchers app drawer top items and switch it for the stock one. Much less intrusive.
So, in essence, keep the look from E and add the functionality like, self close or open last functions from Z.
You can check the difference here for the app drawers:

The E has a much cleaner look. I want it by default, i would add settings to choose the style from either E or Z.
Id keep the E look and just add the functionality buttons that Z gives. Id redesign most of those icons to fit the theme tho.
Desktop settings, Home and NavBar buttons.

Id also like to edit the navbar buttons themselves and change them to now new triangle, circle and cube. But id also like to switch recent apps and back buttons but i dont think thats possible from within a launcher. So ill figure that out later.
And for last, i would switch the bar on the bar icons with the one from Xperia T launcher but i cant find a download for it and dont own a T version phone.
Please help and thank you for your time reading this wall. xD

Searching a way to customize the lockscreen on Android(13)(Maybe some Magisk mod?)

Hi there,
im searching for a method to customize my lockscreen on Android.
Found some Apps on the playstore but to be honest i guess they are all garbage.
I saw some options to customize the lockscreen on some custom roms and asking myself if there is some Mod to get this on every rom im trying.
I search for some options like: change the font of the clock or the color. Reposition the clock or maybe change the method to unlock the phone (like swiping left or right instead of up)
Does someone know some stuff out there that works?
I tried KLCK and this is the closest i found but it doesnt works realy well since that its a stand alone app where to need to get started after turning on the screen.
Im actually on some Android 13 rom.
U should mention your device first
Ist that necessary? Then im sorry.
Its a poco x3 nfc (surya) .
But i guess there isnt a solution at all.
CustoMIUIzer is best then
What about for a pixel 7 pro?
