Please, I need to know how to root my Nvidia Shield Tablet without connecting it to the wi-fi.
I tried both KingRoot and Towelroot but they need to be connected to internet in order to work.
I need just the device to be offline: obviously I have a working connection on my laptop.
Thanks for helping!
unlock the bootloader, flash TWRP/CWM then flash SuperSU

You can install updates manually when Asus release them on the website I always do, you will not be able to update the normal way OTA as you have been doing so far.

There any post to do so as you say manually?
I imagine it would be removing and installing CWM recovery asus stock Original and perform the manual update as you say, I apologize for so many questions but I have difficulty understanding the post translated into Spanish thanks.

Read this thread about updating manually http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317114
I would recomend using TWRP recovery and not CWR when you have unlocked your bootloader. By the way when I update all I do is restore a stock backup, then download the update from Asus to my pc then extract the zip file from within the downloaded file then transfer the zip file to my tablets sdcard and then go in to recovery and install, you will loose root and TWRP recovery but with Motochopper it's not a problem now rooting is so easy then once rooted use Goomanager to install TWRP this has never failed for me.

Usually people who flash the wrong TWRP are able to use Buster's recovery method. Did you try that already?

Try using the reset hole on the side of the device and reinstalling the universal naked drivers for your computer.

Also for the flashing problem, I'll try to port a TWRP recovery for desire 20 pro.

Sure there are other way's.
Do you have already root rights?
Which ROM is installed?
If you can manage to get root rights with a one click root app for example,
you can flash TWRP directly with the TWRP app or with the terminal.

It depends on which ROM your're using.
But you could try to use KingoRoot apk for example.
