Okay, I've got a boost mobile moto g ( xt1031 ) that was flashed with 5.0.2 from 4.4.4.
I'm not exactly sure what happened, but after a wipe and re-flash I've lost all data connectivity.
3G icon shows at the top still, signal strength still shows full. PRL and Profile update correctly..
Yet there is a "!" over the signal bar.. and no data connectivity.
I've sense flashed back to 4.4.4 ... Same problem.. Everything shows having a connection.. 3G icon.. Full strength.. yet no data.
I flashed the 4.4.4 radio back on it.. same thing..
I've done the ##72786# reset..
So yeah.. I'm at a loss..
Anyone have any clue as to what might have happened?
Or anyway that I might resolve this issue?

I jumped the gun and tried flashing the 4.4.1 .zip for the N5 found here: http://www.droid-life.com/2013/12/05/download-android-4-4-1-update-for-the-nexus-5/
It flashed fine, so I then proceeded to wipe the cache/dalvik. This is where I ran into a problem. It sat there, stuck in the process of clearing the cache. After 5 minutes, I turned off the phone out of frustration. The phone booted up and began the "apps optimization" bit that you get after updating. Then I went to sleep. When I awoke, I noticed my phone wasn't receiving a cell signal and I thought, no biggie, cell service isn't very good in my house anyway. When I got to work later, I realized this was a problem. I can't receive a cell signal. My next thought was to flash the new radio to see if that fixed the problem. Well, I can't download anything onto my phone, nor can I transfer from my computer. It says that my storage is full, yet I can go to storage and see that I have over 5 GB of free space. Astro does not recognize that I even have internal storage.
Does anybody have any suggestions? I was just about to perform a factory reset but thought I should check here first. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ppl are getting lower signal, but is the signal dropping? Emergency calls only?

Just had the same problem. In TWRP I went into the advanced wipe option, wiped only the cache. Then I flashed the radio. It is working again.

The problem was worse than that. There wasn't any signal at all. Not even possible to place emergency calls.
Anyways, I flashed the factory images which fixed the problem. I then proceeded to flash 4.4.1 and so far so good.
So a week ago I did a fresh install of Lollipop via the factory image for LRX21O, rooted it, and installed Franco's kernel #68. Everything worked great until yesterday as it seems I've lost all mobile data connectivity. I can still make phone calls and text messages, but data is a no go when mobile. So far here's what I tried:
Made sure the APN was Correct
Cycled Flight Mode
Cycled Power
Pulled & Re-Installed SIM Card
Cleared the Cache
Factory Reset
Re-flashed Stock Kernel
Flashed Android 4.4.4 Radio
Re-Flashed Lollipop Factory Image
Restored Previous known working install of Android 4.4.4 via TWRP
Made sure there were no billing issues with my carrier.
Anyone have any ideas? I'm especially concerned and convinced its not specifically a Lollipop problem (though that doesn't mean it didn't cause it) since it did not restore functionality when I flashed back KitKat. I've never used 3rd Party ROMs on this phone, only rooted stock. My carrier is SimpleMobile.

Maybe you need to contact your carrier?
You're not alone, I'm having the same problem since going to 5.0. I use Red Pocket on AT&T's network. Can't get mobile data working at all. Contacted Red Pocket and they reset my data on their end but still a no-go. Wi-Fi fine, calls and SMS fine. MMS, like data, doesn't work.
I guess I'll pick up another MVNO card to make sure it isn't still Red Pocket's issue. I have another SIM, but unfortunately my T-Mobile card, which is usually in a Lumia 1520, doesn't work for data on the Nexus 5 because that is on their blocked list of phones (stupid carriers).
Hey guys, im having a weird issue... phone has worked fine for the past few weeks, all of a sudden I lost connectivity to data. Could make calls and text just fine. I was on NK4 modem / rom stock. I updated the modem to the NKD modem, and regained data connectivity but lost phone calls and sms. I did a full restore to NE5 (full tarball) and regained everything! Phone updated itself to NK4 and i lost data again.
Any idea on how to fix this issue? Or what could be causing it? Thanks in advance guys
Update: Im still on NK4, still have no data. HOWEVER, Data does work if I am roaming.

I have the exact same issue... no data except when roaming...
I contacted Sprint, was bumped up to level 2 support and they couldn't troubleshoot it, at all. They had me do all of the usual (reboot, battery pull, factory reset, blah, blah, blah).
I've flashed back to stock in Odin after wiping with still no luck.
This is getting very aggravating. Any help would be appreciated.
Your issue probably lies in this post here https://community.sprint.com/baw/mo...sprint.com/baw/api/core/v2/discussions/183846 as numerous others are experiencing this aswell and Sprint is saying that it will be fixed when Lollipop is launched on the 26th of January
Try odining NE5 modem. Other is going back to NE5 and install a custom recovery and the phone won't be able to take the OTA to NK4.

Hi,
My xt1540 was running a nightly cm14 build and everything was fine. One day, my phone suffered from a random battery drain that caused it to turn off. After like 20 minutes charging it, I finally managed to turn it on. But when I did it, I realized the phone had no signal. The only networks it was able to connect were 2g ones. 2g reception in my country is not good, so 80% of the time i have no signal o barely 2g.
Since this issue, I've tried everything in order to repair my phone. Flashed stock android (5.1 and 6.0), went back to cm, tried every possible configuration on Networks Settings, touched every configuration on *#*#4636#*#*, restored my APN settings, but nothing changed.
My SIM card works fine on other phones, so that's not the problem. Could it be something related to hardware, or even firmware? because the phone always worked fine, and out of nowhere this happend.
Thanks for your help!!!
If you are POSITIVE your APN's are correct (2G and no 3G/4G is often a sign of APN issues), then boot into fastboot and erase your modemstX partitions...
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
Boot and test...

Maybe try upgrading from CM to Lineage, and did you follow all the steps to flash stock ROM?

I'll try Lineage. About the stock rom, i'd previously flashed my android with a rom that i knew worked, so the rom it's not a problem, nor the flashing method. I also flashed the modem several times after this problem but nothing happened.
Thanks !!

Hi! APN was the first thing I thought it could be, but I have the same settings as on other phone in which 3g/4g works fine.
I erased the partitions but nothing changed.
Thanks!!
