According to Android Police there's not much changed in this build. Hopefully some of the bugs from build 2 are at least fixed.
Seeing one big bug already. YouTube isn't signed in to my Google account so I can't browse my subscribed channels and such. Clearing app data and restarting doesn't fix it either.

Thanks for the heads up. I haven't had a chance to install preview 3 so I'll keep my eyes on this later tonight.
My remote that came with the player seems to be staying connected just fine now. It was constantly losing connection on preview 2 and I would have to remove and add the bluetooth connection to get it to work and it would only keep the connection for a few minutes.
MPA44I is now the current developer preview build.

I haven't tried it yet but I'm hoping that sideloading v1.0.5.5 of YouTube for Android TV from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62157119&postcount=928 might allow a user account to be used.

According to Engadget, it's from Google, hypothetically to allow users to control their new G+ sign in (afaik, only Tunein Radio has this implemented right now).

And if one wants to remove it???
All it's got in it is:
Google+ sign-in
Google Maps Access
Ads Yes/No.
Doesn't seem to show up anywhere that I can readily delete.

You can hide it from the drawer if your launcher has that feature, but you won't be able to permanently delete it.
It doesn't do much yet, but Google+ universal sign-in was just launched this week and if developers start picking this up and allowing you to sign in to their service using your Google+ account then this is where you will have the ability to revoke app's permissions.
I think they are setting some groundwork to make other changes in managing your Google account from your phone and that we will probably see quite a bit more show up in this app over time. I'm really hoping for a full mobile equivalent to the Dashboard webpage

That makes more sense. Without that explanation, Google Settings just seems like a waste of space.
When in the youtube app I cannot share video from the YouTube app to any other services other then g+ ,the sharing menu doesn't open, it goes direct to g+ , If I disable the google plus app the share menu on the youtube app okay but once I enable the google plus app the problem is back? Ideas?

Same problem for me, In fact, if you try to share a link from other apps, this happens as well.
This happens because the ACTION_SENT intent does not seem to be saving preferences properly. I am trying to fix this. Really annoying.
A workaround for now is to use the Andmade Share app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andmadesoft.share&hl=en_GB)
EDIT: Seems like an Android bug (c.f. https://code.google.com/p/android/i...nd&colspec=ID Type Status Owner Summary Stars and http://stackoverflow.com/questions/...createchooser-method-causes-intentserviceleak)
Having the same issue, but youtube opens google drive. If I disable google drive I can select any app to share to. So is this a bug with 4.4 or youtube?
It's a bug with many if not all apps. I hope they fix soon
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Go to Settings-->Apps-->3 dot menu and hit "reset app preferences". This will clear all sharing defaults.
Apparently, either there's a bug in Kitkat or an app that auto defaults sharing to the app you last shared to. So if you shared something to G+ before the bug kicked in, all subsequent shares go to G+ without "share" menu popping up.

This worked Thank you! I emailed Android Police about the bug and received the following response:
"You know, someone tipped us that this was happening to the youtube app, but I couldn't reproduce. They ended up factory resetting.
I then she something similar in Feedly - it opened Gmail instead of the picker, but upon retrying it worked.
Definitely seems like an issue somewhere."
Hopefully next time it happens I will know how to reproduce it.

Have the same issue. The first time everything was defaulting to Google Drive. Now it's just started again but it's defaulting to Google plus instead. The fix mentioned above worked but it's still a bit annoying.

I'm having the same thing with Drive. Annoying, as I'm trying to attach a photo I haven't captured yet. I wonder if Xposed module can help with this,
Am I going effing crazy or what? I can't add hardly anything to my wish list anymore. For over a week now.. It is getting quite irritating as I love that feature. I am always adding stuff to my wish list. Its an awesome bookmarking utility whether it was intended as one or not.
I can maybe add one or two things to the list a day, and when I do they are pretty much only paid apps.
That is exactly how Apples appstore works. You can only add paid applications to your wish list.
If they are planning to change that to only paid apps I'm not gonna be happy. That would be very counterproductive.
Sure you could just install it real quick if its paid, but I don't need apps I don't need right this minute wasting space and other resources. And also I will find a good app for my tablet while browsing on my mobile. So I will add to wish list then download on my tablet.
Every time I try to add something it simply says 'could not add "some app" to wish list'. Am I the only one having this problem because I don't see anyone else complaining about it anywhere. Nor even a section to contact Google plays support team about it.

I apologize. Your reply went unnoticed till now. But I just tried it. First I tried adding to wish list an application on the Google Play Store app on my Nexus 5, it gave the usual 'could not add appName to wishlist'. I then opened the link by sharing to my browser and sure enough it said 'An error occurred, please try again later.'
So unfortunately looks like its happening on both. So am I alone here? Are others able to add free applications to their wish list still? Are you able to Lesalloum? If so must be an issue on my account. But this is the only issue I am having.

Me Too!
I am also having this issue. It is not a software issue, it is an account issue. I have two google accounts on my phone, and online. When I switch to the second account, on both the website and the Play Store in the phone, I can add to its wishlist just fine. But I am unable to add things to the wishlist with my primary account.
When I tap the bookmark icon on my phone, the little "Adding to wishlist..." message pops up, but is replaced by one that says "AppName could not be added to wishlist". When I go on the website and click the add to wishlist button, it says "An unexpected error has occurred. Please try again later." I hadn't added things to my wishlist for a while before today, but it's a pretty annoying issue.
It appears that I can install from the phone and remotely via the website as normal.
Problem solved (for me, anyways)
Well, after a lengthy back and forth and escalation to a higher support person and engineers, it turns out that they issue is the fact that the Google Play wishlist has an item limit!!!! There was no notification of this anywhere, and the error messages gave no indication that this was the case. I'm able to remove items and add new ones, but I'm pretty annoyed that this is even an issue, and that the error message don't say what the issue is, since Google Play knows exactly what the problem is.
I've attached screenshots of the error messages I received. After learning that there is an item limit, I tried removing an app. I was able to remove it, and re-add it. I then removed it, added another app, and was unable to re-add the first app.
Pretty ridiculous if you ask me.
how many?

I am already at my limit because it keeps happening for more than a week now. It started happening a little after a playstore update so I thought that this might be the issue. Cleared data and uninstalled updates but it kept happening so it really must be a limit.
I can check how many apps I have added... Is there a count or should I go and count them on my own?

lol, yeah you need to count them!! But the quick way to count...
I can see there are 3 rows of apps on my mobile's screen. I just counted every 3rd rows while I scrolled down. It is 51.
51 x 9 apps = 459 apps plus 7 apps on last (52th) page.
Let me know! Cheers

Hello,
I am facing high battery drain through my google service app, and i disable wake lock in the privacy setting it service is crashing time and time again. Please share any ideas in sorting out the battery drain.
Regards
I am in the same situation as you. I'm on CM11S and I also disabled the wake locks as suggested in the FAQ thread. I have had the Google Play services crash a few times and also I've had the Facebook app and then the messenger app crash on me once after a prompt from the Privacy Guard
Which software version are you using?
If you're rooted try disable service. When installed just disable the active ones under system / Google play services

Well first of all you gotta root your phone. When that is done, download disable service from the play store (the app icon is a blue android guy). When you're in the app, scroll right and then down to find Google play services. Tap that and disable all the active ones. ( the active ones are marked in blue.

I'm on Nougat,B360 on FRD-L09 and as i said i have no problem. You made a factory reset after update ? It's recommended.
You definitely should do hard reset, also some users are facing battery drain with fb app.
I've done factory reset and the problem still exists.

Ok. Got a solution. You need to turn off "links open externally" at Facebook app settings, close the app, try open some links, and than it wil stop crashing. The problem related to the fact that in Android 7 there is no Android webview anymore, so the cause for the crashes is chrome browser. Hope this will help you.
I have done the factory reset. Uninstalled the app, the problem is still there. For example I got the notification that a friend has birthday and if I click on it the FB app closes.

The app crashes if the app language is set to other language than your device's language.
I assume that anyone with the same problem uses facebook app in english when the device's language is set to other language.
