I have a HTC One m8 with about 10 months now and I'm happy with the phone. It is running the latest update of Paranoid Android 5.1 on it, which I am also happy with but, it seems as if I cannot view 720p videos (anything lower res with play fine). When I try to watch videos in 720p videos on Youtube the screen stays blank but the sound plays. I cannot view certain videos on Twitter eg. vines without getting a "Content not available" message at the bottom of the screen but yet, the sound still plays. Same goes for videos on Snapchat. I cant view or record videos with the camera app or snapchat too. Any help would be appreciated as I can literally find NOTHING about it anywhere.
Thanks in advance.

I cant play a video i go to youtube and load a movie and every time i get this video has been removed, all the sites i go the same thing plz help me i still get the android 2.1 version is that a problem to ?
No problems here. Watching a movie right now. Is there anything you did to the system lately? And you can't play any and all youtube videos? Videos in the browser won't work until 2.2. But the you tube app should work fine.
good day.
i bought it yesterday and i go to internet youtube press a movie there i see the movie whith the play thing and press play and then he say that it has been replaced every time i press a video strange thing
Have you opened your youtube app? And when you click play on a video in the browser it should open the youtube app. Look in your apps for the youtube app.
good day. From my voodooed Fascinate using the XDA app.
just download youtube app in market or where can i find it ?
i downloaded myoutube but everytime i open a video i get the warning sign unfortunately we most close myoutube :s
I did some searching, but all the posts appear to be older, and are discussing downloaded players. At work, we all have Droid Xs. My boss, recently reset his, and was working on downloading some video players. We download a lot of xvid files, and he wanted to be able to play them. Well, it appears one of his downloads has updated the built-in player to play xvid. The reason I think this is because after he dumped about 20 videos on there for transport, most...about 16 of them, had thumbnails in the gallery. I tried playing one, and loads directly up, and even has the little HDMI icon in the top corner. I went through the players he downloaded, and none of those appear to have the HDMI option. I've been trying to figure this out so that I can replicate it.
Has anyone else done this? I don't have the phone in front of me, but I know he got arcmedia and youplayer. I'm not sure what else, but I figure you guys may have some ideas.
I guess I've stumped the minds here. Thanks for looking.
UPDATE:
I just checked my phone, and now I'm able to playback one of the files. The strange part is that after seeing it happen on his phone, I copied the same file to mine, and couldn't play it. Gave the usual unsupported error. But today, I look at my phone, and there's a thumbnail of the video in the gallery. I click on it, and it starts playing, with the little HDMI option in the corner. WTF is going on here? I still have one file that won't play that I put on there. Does the built-in player support Xvid with certain options enabled/disabled?
Hello all....i recently got my TF and have noticed that when i go to sites that have a flash video (like my anime site), the video will not fully load. If i push play on the video, it will start streaming the video but if I pause it and let it continue to buffer the rest of the content, and move to a new tab or application, the buffering stop. If i would to stay on the page and let the video stream and buffer to the end, then I can watch the whole video. I have noticed this in stock browser and Dolphin.
Is this normal? I was expceting something similar ot my computer where i can start a video, switch screens, and when I come back , the video is finishing buffering and I can view all of the movie.....any ideas? Thanks
I think it part of Android to safe resources (cpu power is limited).
I recently got a Galaxy S3 and I rooted it, flashed CM10 (I believe cm-10-20121113-UNOFFICIAL-d2vzw from goo.im), installed gapps, etc.
Everything seems to work normally except that the videos I play from the video player, MX Player, YouTube, and Netflix just give me a black screen. Even the instagram camera previewer shows up as black. Audio seems to be okay though. I've looked on XDA and Google but I can't seem to find a fix or troubleshoot this. Help would be greatly appreciated as this is my first time using ROMs on my phone.
Nexus 5, android 6.0.1, Firefox app latest from play store.
reason i use Firefox is to play you tube video on background.
on the screen didn't show any option to change video resolution.
i scare in case its go higher then 144p which is waste when i don't watch just listen to music. if my info not enough please tell so.
Desktop version still don't show the option
ps. sorry my english
why not just use this. you can play videos in the background and listen to muse with the screen off, you can even download the video and or music in any resolution (THIS WORK WITH OUT ROOT)
