My Samsung Galaxy s6 randomly pause YouTube videos
Both YouTube application and chrome browser
Any one have a solution for this problem?
You can:
1. Clear app cache using App Cache Cleaner from Playstore.
2. Go to recovery mode and wipe cache.
3. Close all running apps before running youtube.

I am on a defy green lens running CM9 epsylon's 20120617 nightly.
Same issue ...
I read on this forum that there should be a workaround that has to be done following these steps:
1) Go to applications
2) Search for " music " and " DSP manager " -> clear cache ( for both programs )
3) Start your favorite musicplayer and play a track
4) Launch DSP manager and adjust some settings
It should not work while listening the track you launched but it should with the next one.
It did not work for me, maybe because I did not find the " music " app and so i did not clear its cache.
I hope it will help you in order to resolve your issue.
Regards.
This is really annoying.
Anytime I have an opportunity to view a video (Facebook for instance) I click on the YouTube video link and a list of "default" apps pops up. But NOT INCLUDED in this list is the YouTube app. All three browsers that are installed appear but no YouTube app. This forces me to select one of the browsers which then navigates to Youtube.com which will play the video in browser mode.
Is there any way to associate the Youtube app to this list of Default apps.
Note:
If I go into the Applications Manager and select any of the browsers and youtube app, the Clear Defaults is greyed out. So it's not as easy as clearing the default app associations and reapplying them.
Running MIUI 2.2.24 on HTC Sensation
Select a web browser from the options it gives you, then it will ask you if you want to open it in the youtube app.
Happened to me, cleared Sense data and cache and voila!

I'm running CM10.2 on my new GS3 and youtube videos that are embedded on websites won't play. The play button is there, but after pressing it, the box goes black. My other GS3 had no problems playing them, so I'm confused.
I use Chrome for the browser on both phones, both are rooted and both have CM on them. I've tried clearing the data / cache, but that didn't help. Any other ideas?
im using a browser where when i click a youtube link, takes me to the youtube video in the browser, not the youtube app. i want to be taken to the yt app, not see the video in the browser. so far i cleared all defaults on this browser and the native browser. i got the samsung galaxy s3. how do i fix this?
Update your youtube app to latest version the go into settings and manage application click all then scroll down to browser and click on it and click clear data . Then go to youtube app in the same settings and also clear data . Hopefully this will solve your problem

Hi! Thank you.I tried greenify root and hybernated maximum google apps but there is still no improvement.Android system seems out of control, grabbing all the internet data when i launch youtube app or viewing videos with the browser...maybe you can show me how to really make it. Thank you for your help.
Hi! I found a solution for youtube streaming. I don't use any youtube app. I just use the default browser. I enable desktop view and enable flash player too. And when I click on a video I set the quality on 144p or more.depending on my network strength. And that is all!! Now I watch easily and smoothly videos on youtube! Android system takes almost nothing from internet data while streaming videos. I can even vew them fullscreen mode. My brother's X peria Z had the same youtube issue. When I enabled desktop view and installed flash player on his device, everything goes smooth!!
I guess it could help others in the same situation. Thanks.
