Youtube App Warning Storage Is Full ??

(Leo youtube app, not sure if its the same)
So yeah my 512mb of ROM is getting pretty full with me installing loads new apps. I went onto the youtube app and as soon as I load it up I get an error message saying Warning storage is full and when I tap ok, the program closes so I dont get the chance to change the storage settings to my memory card (if thats the problem) So I deleted some temporary files in the youtubes program folder and I even uninstalled a few apps but I still get that problem...
any ideas on what to do?

I'm experiencing the same kind of problem, with the same message only in dutch: "opslag is vol".. I haven't found a solution jet..
But i have it since a day, and i have plenty of memory available on my Leo..
I'm on stock 1.48 rom...
I'd hate to hard reset my phone :S.. But if i can't figure it out is a good start a nice cooked rom mabye

go to file explorer/windows/youtube. there should be a lot of files there. delete those and it should work. i had the same problem and after i deleted those files, its working again.

Yes marctown78, i did what you said and it works, thank you very much. btw, i did not delete them one by one. I use "select all", which include those "favorite" and "channel" folders, and deleted them all. and the youtube still works fine.

btw, you mentioned you can "change the storage settings to my memory card", how exactly can you do it? I tried but seems there is no such setting in youtube.

I also deleted everything (including the favourite, search, history and channel) folders and still I am getting the warning!

I'm still having the same problem with my HD 2. Have followed the above steps but no joy. any other suggestions? thanks in advance.

i used to get this, i used the cleanram program to clear down any unneeded processes and woulod fix the issue, i have a schedule set up which runs the cleanram program every day and havent had the issue since.

For some reason it is now functioning again.

had that problem too but it is storage memory not program memory u have to have about 10mb of free space available for youtube to run kinda strange though but thats what I figure out, what I do is install the apps that I like on memory card and the ones that r essential to phone memory so I have more free space.

Thanks Kikill, I tried to delete inside youtube folder only; it does not work(I only have 7mb left in my device, 6mb before the deletion inside youtube folder), it TURNS OUT as per your suggestion, we need extra space.
The day before my youtube was working, and I downloaded some movies that were stored in my device, and suddenly my youtube is not working; thus, I clean up my other folders as well and get around 60mb back and this time it is back to normal.

I tried this also but there is no option in youtube, I've looked through the registry and can only find in
HKLM-SOFTWARE-HTC-YOUTUBE-TempFileLocation
but don't know what to do from there, can someone enlighten me?

Like an idiot, I did exactly like was suggested (deleted everything in the Youtube folder, without backup) and it still doesn't work.

Well i recently have this problem on my HD2, after some testing i found that the app needs 10mb of free space on device storage to run, if you have less you will get the error.

Come on, what's the matter dude? I did read, and from what I read I thought whole partition handling was the only thing this app would be missing. Single files is a good start, but making that "kinda GpartED" would be killer. Though I fear you should be in bootloader/recovery to work on those, don't know how Android deals with them (i.e. in Windows you have programs you can change partitions size "on the fly" with). Now that I elaborated more, are you still angry?

This application would be genius. I'm wondering however, will the phone still be able to access that data once it is moved off of the system memory and onto the SD Card? And is it possible to actually partition the /data/data section so that it will use more than the allowed 150mb that it has, like open it up so that instead of it being partitioned to a small amount, it just roams free with the rest of the 748mb or whatever that is in the system memory.

Navigon, however, doesn't like its data to be moved to SD card. Even after moving it back with the app, it FCs (Android 2.1). I think I have to reinstall. So be careful if you're trying to do the same.
Edit: After reinstalling the .apk (without doing anything with the maps), Navigon works again. The packet installer didn't ask me if I wanted to replace the existing installation (as is otherwise usual in such a case).
Edit2: There seems to be a general problem. The next app I tried was mediaU. It has a large database which I moved (using NES) to the SD card. It also FCed after having moved its database, and restoring to the old location (again using NES) also didn't succeed. No error message during restore, but app still won't run.

K9 seemed to work. However, I had to reflash for another reason, and now K9 reports its lib as being in the standard location (reported by NES). For now, I have stopped testing NotEnoughSpace so I can not say more.

eh? K9 has native use of the SD card if you enable it... Why would you use this on it?

Everybody: what about the "free space" numbers reported by the app? Do they seem correct to you? I had to use a dedicated algo to compute them, taking block size in account, and I've had reports of fairly surprising discrepancies.

Free space doesn't seem to update after moving, though I see the difference in the Titanium Backup count: tried for a couple of apps (G Earth and well... don't remember!) and it did move everything, free up space on /data and I can still use those apps. Still afraid to move many apps, just moving one at the time and test.

I just tested it out on my Droid 1, which is running CM6.1RC5 (Not sure if thats relevant or not), and it doesnt seem to work very well on my phone. All apps came back as 4KB, at the top it showed this... Total:261.8MB Used:NaNKB Free: 259.1MB Database NaNKB Files: NaNKB Preferences:NaNKB Cache:NaNKB.

Help Section Typo
Under A Quick user guide in your user guide(?) that prompts when you run the apk for the first time there is a typo in the last sentence:

I'm having the same problem as bdt1995. Running CM 6.1 RC1.. the only difference is the total memory is 196.2 and the free is:194.3 MB cuz I'm using a Nexus.. CM6 might be the problem?

Same here (total 196.2MB, Free 194.3MB, all apps 4KB), system details in my sig. Using apps2sdext, over 200 apps.

Same problem as above with Cyanogen 6.02, However it looks promising.
I Think that moving data to standard SD can leads to security issue, because SD can be readed and written by any apps. Should be better if the app recognize /EXT partition, if exist, and move data here.

i'd like to try it and i get my lil sis to try it also she gets this problem a lot i have the droid incredible and my sis has the droid eris.

What happened after I deleted .apks in /system/app ?

Hello all,
I fell into a huge problem. I use a Nexus 5 16 GB variant with all sorts of games I can put inside of. Now I ran out of storage.
My smart ass told me search for culprits and I was ruthless on files as small as 50 MBs. . Now, then I saw a treasure trove of space which could be freed and that was in #/system/app. I deleted almost all of them and left behind some like Bluetooth.apk and NFC et al.
Now two things happened
1) I can no longer use the 'Explore Storage' in the Other category of Storage found i Settings app. It would say, Settings has Crashed.
2) I can no longer sync my contacts to Google as After asking to add account, it just asks again. Earlier I seamlessly used that feature.
I don't know what's broken more.
Please someone help.

Have you tried a full reset? Kinda of a risk... But worth it at times. My old phone I could delete all the system apps, then reset it and they'd all pop back up.

I have the ROM with me. Flashing that will ( or might) restore every functionality. But the point is why it did happen and unbreak the broken without flashing.

Why would you think that deleting anything from a system folder is a good idea...?
Just flash the system.img again. That should restore at least a working system, though I'd guess that you'll have to do some manual rework to restore lost apps. Your data should still be intact.
Just guessing, to be honest. I'm still astonished that you did this...
Have you considered an OTG USB stick? The attached photo shows an additional 128GB of storage on the tip of my little finger. I can post the links if anyone is interested.

I don't know why I did that. Maybe because I saw those apks lying there and thought to myself, what are they doing here. I deleted all of them.
The next part is more important now. I installed the same ROM on the same phone using multirom and then copied the whole system/app folder to my other ROMs broken app folder. And this helped remove the broken Settings functionality. But the Contacts functionality is still broken. Lastly I will flash the system image if I could not find the reason behind this. Thanks sir for the help.

Have screwed up Play Store and keyboard on rooted tablet, stuck trying to repair it

Hi, I have a MID-756, also known as an F900, Quadcore A33, with Android 4.4.2. A bog-standard cheap tablet, but having installed a 10,000mah battery, quite a useful device that lasts for several days.
The performance isn't super-sparkly and it does appear to run out of some types of memory sometimes, with browsers prone to shutting down without warning when reading newspaper websites. So I purchased Link2SD Pro and moved as many things as possible to the internal SD card. This also allows you to set some system programs as user programs, which then enables you to move them to the SD card as well, which is very useful.
I also did this with google play store and google play services, and that is when it went wrong, as google play store no longer worked. Based on things other people suggested, I tried various things like clearing caches, but that didn't work. I tried to use the browser to go to the play store and update them, but it said things like, "App will be installed later" - but which never happened. I tried to download google play services and play store APK's from a repository and after deleting the originals I installed them from the APKs. It nearly worked - it got to checking permissions, but instead of starting the download progress bar it said, "Unfortunately google play store has stopped", or words to that effect. Based on one suggestion I tried clearing the data for services and google services framework, and then it wouldn't even connect to the store at all.
So I saved important things and then did a factory reset, under the naive impression that it would restore it to how it had arrived. I discovered that it only clears user data and programs, and does not restore system apps that you've stupidly deleted. Having reinstalled the play services and play store from the downloaded APK's it still wouldn't actually download anything as it failed at the progress bar stage with the same message as before - "Unfortunately google play has stopped".
The other thing is that after doing a complete reset the keyboard became chinese, and having to use the old 'Nokia' way of entering English using a numeric keypad is a nuisance. So I'm keen to be able to restore the Play store function so I can at least download a better keyboard.
I've tried to download the gapps file, saving it on an external SD card and installing it on its own as suggested by one person, even going to the Pico version and each time I get "E: Error in /tmp/sideload / package.zip (status error 255)", which apparently means not enough memory according to one person.
I have looked for a custom ROM to install from scratch, but there don't appear to be any for this model. I considered reinstalling the original ROM I downloaded (exdroid4.4.2_r2-a33-v2.0) but I haven't found a mid-756 driver file so my understanding is that it is highly likely to fail.
I can't now reinstall the Link2SD app in order to set the play-related apps back to system apps again either, even though I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling on my rooted phone in order to get the .APK files and then transfer them across to the tablet. It appeared that the .APK files were automatically deleted from both the app and the Pro licence app.
I'm feeling I've right royally screwed my tablet. I know it wasn't that expensive, but it is pretty useful with the massive battery so I'd really appreciate any pointers to help fix it. I've read the suggested threads but as I can't find a driver file for this device, reinstalling the whole ROM from scratch doesn't seem like a good idea. Is it safe to clear the Dalvik cache and reinstall a whole gapps package though? I'm cautious because so far clearing other caches does not seem to have improved anything and in one case made it worse.

Ok, didn't get any help but finally fixed it and people might like to know how I did it:
To recap, the situation was: Rooted MID-756 / F900 tablet, having deleted play store after it stopped working when I made it a non-system app, and after doing a full reset, found that the only keyboard option was a japanese one with Nokia-style input for Western typeface. Complete nuisance to use and with hardly any even standard apps remaining after I'd previously moved them to SD card, which was then wiped when I did full reset. So, close to useless.
Solution: Use another Android 4.2 phone, and for each of the following apps, [ Google play services, play store, Link2SD, Link2SD (new)] do the following steps:
a) in Link2SD, select an app.
b) in the details screen, from the options menu, select 'share apk'. You may need to scroll the menu up if your screen doesn't show it.
c) When the share apk options come up, select 'google drive'
d) go to your PC, and in google drive, change the name to xxxxx.apk . I don't know why the .apk seems to get missed off, but you need to add it back in again.
e) Once you've done all four apps, copy all of them to a micro SD card.
f) Put the micro SD card in your tablet.
g) in a file manager, go to the external SD card, and click on the google play services.apk. This will take you through the install procedure. When it has finished installing, reboot.
h) Do the same with Link2SD and Link2SD(new). Even if it says that the licence won't verify (it will show a red triangle next to the name when the app is open), don't worry. Select google play services, and in the detail screen, from the options menu select 'convert to system app'. Then reboot again.
i) Do the same with Play Store - install apk, reboot, convert to system app using link2SD and reboot again.
f) Open Play Store. You will probably have to go through some account setting up of google play store which should be familiar to you. This time when you get to play store and try downloading or updating something it should work. If it still doesn't, do one more reboot.
You can now restore all your previous apps, including the google keyboard if you've screwed that up by doing a hard reset. You will now be able to use a proper keyboard again.
If Link2SD was not verifying the licence for the paid version, when play store is working again you should find it will now check the licence properly.
The moral of the story: Play store does not work as a user app, it needs to be a system app, so don't try to convert it to a user app in the first place.

Hacked Galaxy S10e

Hi Everyone
I'm assume my phone been hacked or cloned I'm not sure what's the right word for it but I need help to find out If I'm right or I'm just being paranoid.

I find in my battery usage my secure folder using 381 MB of data what I hardly use, , 324 MB Foreground, 57 MB background.
In the secure folder checking wi-fi data usage , on the bottom has "something" named 15010286 what used 5,41 kb data in the past week..
Some of my setting are changing, like I had swithed off the option to show up the letter or number when I typing passwords etc.
When I checking battery usage in settings, I scrolling down and after couple seconds its jump up the top again.
My question would be: any program what would find the program what the intruder used?
How can be sure if Im hacked or how can I clean my phone??

Sounds less like a hacker and more like just a buggy phone xD. This behaviour is in fact strange but I would doubt that this is a hacker. Maybe you've downloaded some cracked apks from the internet and accidentally downloaded malware.
Maybe this isn't the best way but try this:
Go to device care, device security (or something similar) and scan your phone. If there is an obvious malware the scan will detect it. if not, I cannot help you.
Personally I store everything on my sd card so I would just do a factory reset. Idk about you.

Device care/device security shows no malware.
I have 100 GB data on my phone, my SD card encrypted, same as my phone. Any advice what is the easiest way to save all those pictures and videos before I factory reset my phone? Preferably direct to an USB as most likely my PC and home network hacked too.

just connect your device to PC and do MTP connection and transfer all files (pictures, videos, music, hentai folder .. etc) to PC
fast and efficient
