Pre-Orders beginning April 1st, shipping the 11th!

We've been seeing every other carrier accepting pre-orders with no mention of Verizon's schedule..but today I received an e-mail stating April 1st will begin pre-orders and they'll ship on the 11th, which is the supposed day of release. I'm wondering if it's worth it to just walk into a store to get it release day, or pre-order it to get it a few days after? Not sure..but I'm selling my GS4 so I can pickup an S5!

Walk into store. I doubt they'll be sold out.

yeah, suppose you're right. has anyone ever done pre-orders though? i never have. do you typically get them release day, or days after?

Oh My God! I was literally about to switch carriers if I didn't find some hope of a release for the s5 on Verizon in the next two weeks. Then my friend sent me this link. got my GS5 case today..went with a spigen shell that's sort of like my incipio feather for my G2. nice case, very light. seems as if the S5 is slightly taller than the G2.

FWIW, I'm talking to a rep on the website chat, and they're saying the email information was incorrect and pre-orders begin April 5th. take that with a grain of salt..
she also explained that if you have a pre-order, you'll get it on release date...it won't be shipped on the 11th; rather, it'll be at your door on the 11th. i hope that's true!

I went into the store and they said without a doubt that the 3rd would be preorder time... I think all Verizon reps just talk out of their asses at this point. I also asked about Kitkat on the S4 and Note 3 and all they could say was every single other carrier is having major bugs and thats why it'll be a while before we see it on VZW

On the Official Verizon Forums (https://community.verizonwireless.com/thread/819130?start=170&tstart=174) 2 people confirm the pre-order day to be tomorrow...Don't know if they can be trusted...one person claims to have spoken with a rep who got an email (go to page 19 or 20 in the thread) stating that the S5 would be available for pre-order tomorrow. @jayochs

Have they just not received any stock? or do they keep selling out? If they keep selling out I am sure there is someway to wait list yourself for the next shipment. I think they are just running low inventories for some reason even amazon is showing out of stock.

They actually aren't getting any . They get shipments in Tuesdays and Fridays . I was there Tuesday morning be they even opened was the first one in The Door and they said they didn't get any this shipment check back friday

Your better off trying a sprint or AT&T store...

Has anyone had any luck ordering one online from Best Buy or even directly from Samsung?

Best buy mobile has them as well. But amazon has them... watch out tho they randomly like to charge a little more than asking price. Its shipped by Amazon (prime) but sold by 3rd party.

the att stores should have them...

I got mine from AT&T. Amazon Prime is your best bet.

I work for samsung at best buy. Most stores have not received any. Nobody is happy about it. I can confirm that all stores at least in Fort Worth Texas area will have them friday and best i can tell will at least get 8 so i would still get there early.

According to their online search, none of the stores in the DFW Metroplex have them in stock.

I ordered mine from amazon on the 12th and still waiting for a estimated delivery date.

I just ordered mine from bestbuy.com Should be delivered tomorrow (extra $14.00 for shipping)

I was browsing amazon looking to see if any were in stock the metallic orange said in stock cancelled the silver/black and ordered it says estimated delivery date of 4-22 as soon as i placed the order though i went back a few mins laters says out of stock on the metallic/orange so im not counting on it to be here the 22nd

I pre-ordered about 2 weeks ago with AT&T and they had shipping dates of April 8, but then the Gold/Browns were all delayed until April 30. Try a black if you want to get it quicker, but I have black Galaxy Gear 1 and want new color.

Well my delimma is, I was originally going to order the black/silver from at&t. went to the website had everything ready hit the order button and it errored out said I can't because there isn't any service for my zip code. Must be because I live in the middle of no where

At&t is running a promotion if you order 3 accessories you get 25% off. The watch is included. I already had mine but got the difference refunded from bestbuy because of this. Either way go to https://www.att.com/shop/wireless/accessories/accessorieslist.html Order the watch you want and two $5 items and you will get the watch for $225. It works so even if they are slow to get back in stock it's worth the $75 savings. Otherwise keep checking at BB and show tjis website and they should price match.:good:

Has anyone received their shipment yet or have tracking info. An online customer rep told me that stores might not have stock for 2 weeks after the 21st and that they are only doing pretty orders and they will ship out Friday even though the release date is the 21st.

Overnight was free for me too and I got them to credit my account 24.99 for the overnight costs even though it was free. Ordered 64gb white so I'm hoping I get it tomorrow

Just got an update and I should receive it before 12 tomorrow. Pretty excited as I love the feel of the phone

Not like it matters for me - something is messed up in the TMOBILE Database and it shows I own my G3 and Nexus 6 for my line and won't allow me to upgrade online.
I have to go into the store and settle for what they have.
First time on a non pure android operating system - little worried.

T-Mobile's site typically says "back ordered" for pre-order devices since they're not officially in stock for sale until the release date. It said the same thing last year with the Note 4.

I did not have that problem at all I just ordered it and an hour later it was shipped I'll have it by tomorrow at lunch no problem

It was free.

I tried to get the shipping charges refunded in chat and he said they run free overnight promotions that are limited. He made a note on the account and instructed me to call the "telesales" team to see what they can do.

Walked into a Tmobile store last night and a hr later walked out with a white 32 gig. No shipping just gas money lol

Canadian Galaxy s7 edge discussion

I think we need our own thread to discuss about our preorders and future development related to our model.
so, I already preorder mine from Koodo and they are saying it should ship after March 17th. But, I'm hopping i receive it by march 11th. So, Those that made a preorder, what carrier and when will you be getting it?

Pre-order at Authorized Bell dealer. Put $50 deposit and will be in store pickup. Haven't heard any news/update with regards to when I will get my phone. Hoping for March 11 or earlier! How come Koodo shipping March 17th? Really disappointed that only black available for pre-order!

Pre-ordered with Fido. My position in line is 139. Down from 142 a few days ago.
If any Fido insider can shed some info on when it'll arrive for us, that would be greatly appreciated.

Pre-ordered at Samsung store. Unlocked and gold color. They told me black color will be available on Mar 11, ETA for gold and silver is Mar 28.

Pre-ordered my S7 Edge from Telus on their website, had to pay the full 500$ immediately to complete the order .. They sent me a link to a webpage with a link to follow to see where is our order status and it keeps telling that it is in processing and will be ship by march 11 .. Pre-ordered from Rogers on Feb 24th. I'm 676th in line.
Could be a loooong wait. I remember getting a call from Rogers about picking up my pre-ordered Note5 about 9 days after I had walked into a store and bought one already. My guess is that Rogers (and the other carriers) won't start shipping until the 11th, then won't be in any hurry to get them to us pre-orderers.
That being said, a free Gear VR is worth an extra week or so of waiting.

Safe to say the ones sold in Canada will have the Snapdragon 820?

I pre-ordered from Bell...got a call this morning to verify my details. The tracking system suggests it'll be in the store within 1-3 business days.
Whether or not they'll actually let me have it that soon remains to be seen, but I sure hope so!

Pre-ordered from Rogers on February 23rd, 47th in line. Status still says open. Hopefully I'll have it by the 11th. You just never know with Rogers.

I preordered the S7 Flat from the Samsung Experience Store (Sherway Gardens).
After much thought, I ended up calling them and switching my order to the edge.
I'm kind of nervous about the screen getting scratched though since its so exposed... There isn't that many screen protectors out either on Amazon (CA)

If you get it from the samsung store(not the bestbuy+samsung store) its sim locked but you get an unlock code.

Yes it should be. I pre ordered mine in Samsung store, the staffs told me that it will be unlocked. They did not even ask me which carrier I'm on, so I guess it is unlocked for sure. And they have silver and gold, but these will be available later this month (ETA is Mar 28)

There is probably like only 3-4 locations in all of Canada.
It's pretty cool though, you get a free Gear VR and 128 GB MicroSD card when you pre-order, plus its unlocked if you buy it out.

360 cam promo

I just finished registering for my free battery and cradle, then I found out I was eligible for the 360 cam promo. My flyer I got from the t mobile store on my day of purchase said that deal expired on the 15th of april and I bought mine in the 16th. LGs website says you have until the 24th of April to purchase a G5 and and get the 360 cam.
So for anyone that recently purchased the phone from t-mobile, you still have a chance for the battery and the camera promo

April 25th I got an email mine was approved. Have a tracking number now but just a label so far.
Just want to mention I was unable to do the monthly installment so I paid full price. I was concerned I might not be eligible.. Glad lg is taking care of a good customer [emoji1]

Just got an email from UPS to expect delivery by Friday, 5/20.

I got my package for my day 1 verizon G5 around last weekened. In addition to the battery, charging cradle, and 360 cam they also included a free super small micro to type C adapter plug. (less than 1")

Shipped with delivery date of 5/24 though.... Can't wait!

Received mine yesterday, and it's a pretty neat gadget. However I'm starting to realize you can't use it for anything practical as I have found no way to actually post 360 degree pictures or videos yet. Anyone have any ideas how?
