Any T-Mobile Stores Confirm Sale Date Prior to 6/15? [Some Walmarts selling 6/8]

I've made a few calls to some Metro Detroit T-Mobile Stores and all of them told me June 15th. Has anyone got confirmation from their local T-Mobile store will have it on-sale any soon?
Also, any info on how to find the Select Walmarts on June 12th? Wonder if that means 12:01am you can get it at a 24hrs store.
I will be getting one of these bad boys as soon as I possibly can

UPDATE 6/8/2011: It appears that Walmart stores that have inventory are selling them for $600 off contract and $148.88 for 2-Year contract.
UPDATE 6/12/2011: Here is a PDF print out of the Walmart Ad showing the price at $148.88 for those that want to try and price match incase their local Walmart is out of stock due to this post on XDA

I went to my local T-Mobile store and they also would only disclose June 15th as the go-live date for the Sensation @ T-Mobile Stores.
However, he showed me their Sensation display phone and said that they were receiving boxes (6/5) that were shrink wrapped and labeled do not open till 6/8. He couldn't confirm but he thinks its marketing/advertising stuff and that's when they need to start putting up the marketing and display material up in their store.
In checking out the demo phone (not working) and actually holding it in my hand, the feel and look of the phone are pretty sweet!

Well...let me set my track record here first...
I was able to get my TouchPro2 2 days early by heading to some select BestBuy stores that had inventory on hand and was willing to sell it. It was a thread just like this that made it possible.
I was also able to get my HD2 2 or 3 days early by calling several local T-Mobile stores. The store I went to said...if the phone is in the system and I have the unit in hand they will sell it. And they did.
So...this is a usefull thread if indeed the phones get sold prior to June 15th. The sooner I get a phone, the sooner I will be able to release a tested ROM or Add-ON.

Out of the 8 local stores I called, one confirmed that they would have them tomorrow June 8. So I'll be there first thing tomorrow and picking one up. Hopefully they stick to their word..
EDIT: Well damn it, I called again to double check and wouldn't you know it, they changed the date to 15th.. Two locations initially said 8th now the 15th.. FFUUU

Nice! i am rally anxious for it. Keep watching videos and about to make a 10 minute call around to stores lol

I went to pay my bill the day before the 6/15 announcement and the guy said th 8th and showed me the dummy model. I called back after the announcement and the person (not the same one) said they don't know. I'll be at the store when it opens tomorrow...it's in walking distance.

That is some BS...If it was coming out on the 8th they would know today since they would need to be ready for it tomorrow morning. Morons!

I'm a T-Mobile USA employee. In a meeting it was originally announced for June 8th but recently that was changed to June 15. Reason is unknown. Speculation is a few last minute bug fixes.

The employee I spoke with had to ask one of his colleagues. At this point, I have just about resigned myself to waiting another week. I just sold my MT4G, so it's back to my trusty old G1 for a week.

I guess its off to Walmart then

Two tmobile locations in NJ told me the 8th, however, that was last Wednesday.
Will Walmart allow me to buy it off contract? Or are they strictly contracts and shenanigans?

I chatted with a T-Mobile rep yesterday. They said if I buy thru Walmart it will be thru Walmart Mobile. I don't understand this. They pretty much said I can't upgrade my current contract to get the HTC Sensation. I will have to wait till the 15th and get it thru T-Mobile. They also said they had the launch on the 15th of July in there system.

Last time I looked at Walmarts off contract price on a phone, it was more expensive then buying it at the T-mobile store. YMMV

I've rooted and ROM'd phones for two employees at my city's largest T-Mobile store. One being a manager. They are always cool with me and will hold their first Sensation for me. We text each other with news so they said if they get them in for tomorrow's possible first day they would let me know. No word yet on receiving stock for tomorrow.
I live in Greensboro, NC. Not the biggest market so maybe they aren't on the premium stores list. If he texts me... this is the first place I'm posting.

I placed an order with AT&T Premier at 3am on Tuesday.
Ordered two black 16gb.
Order status was immediately at backordered but changed to processing.
I wish they gave free overnight shipping but best I got was free two day.
So it if ships on the 30th (tuesday), Looking at a Thursday delivery day!

There you will be able to see if you are on backorder. This works even if you are a premier customer.

Lets hope its true.
It is now clear that the phone is on backorder for late orders since some emails are coming in to people saying their order is backordered.

Dont worry. From my experience I never get the emails like "your order has finished processing and is ready for shipment" This does not mean anything. If you check your order status and it says that backordered quantity = 0, you're good to go. If it says 1, dont worry it might change on the day att begins shipping. If you ordered very late, than you will have to wait if backorder = 1.
Should I cancel and try to pick it up in store?
This is entirely up to you. There is no guarantee you will be able to pick it up in store.
ATT Support/Chat said "So and So"
Dont listen to att support. Whatever they tell you when you call or chat online regarding your order, unless they tell you there is a problem with your order is all false. They know as much as you do, maybe even less.

Nice man. Here in Australia we have to wait till the 23rd, then we can preorder. :thumbdown:

Ordered mine tuesday morning. It says 2-day delivery, but it also says it'll arrive "on or around may 3rd"
I guess we'll see whether it gets here thursday the second or friday the third (fingers crossed!)

That's pretty much in line with what AT&T has said. On or around the 3rd for delivery.

I ordered mine right after the site went live. At the beginning of the order it said ships April 30th. However, halfway through the order process, there was a page that mentioned April 26th. It was either "ships by" or "delivered by." Then at the end of the order, it went back to "ships on April 30th. I'm wondering since AT&T was supposed to be one of the first carriers to have the S4, that the "April 30th ship date" is just a precaution and they might quite possibly be delivered on April 26th.
Anyone else notice this?

Ordered at 7am est on Tuesday. Had to do it over the phone to get an early upgrade but I chose overnight shipping. The order status just says processing. Where is everyone seeing the ship date and such?

I honestly feel like they will ship before the 30th. The 30th date seems like an insurance policy against delays, but I bet they want to be first. Who knows. Wishful thinking.

Around or before May 3rd my status says on the AT&T premier site. Not a official ups or FedEx tracking yet .

I think you may be on to something. I dont understand how if I go on att's site it still says "your device will ship on april 30". No way preordered have held this long. Unless samsung has sent a few million of them. What's the point of holding on to them when there are already ordered in place and they have the stock.

I ordered Wednesday, and called back Thursday to cancel and they said I couldn't because it was being prepared to ship, but my status does not say warehouse. I'm PO'd because I want a free accessory or money off, especially if the other stores will get it first, what the F is the point of a pre-order if everyone else does it cheaper or offers more, AND delivers it earlier. I will return mine and goto best buy, very annoyed at AT&T for not cancelling my order.

I ordered mine from at&t a few days ago. Should have it may 1st as i paid for overnight shipping.

I'm thinking about ordering a 2nd Galaxy S4 but off contract. My family plan is full so I can't add another $10/month line. I can however add a brand new plan...my question is if I add a new plan w/2 year contract Galaxy S4 for $199...then cancel the plan immediately (ETF for $325) will my total charges just be $525 (phone + etf)? Or are there other hidden charges like I still have to pay for that first month of service on the new plan? And do they disable or blacklist the phone you ordered when you cancel and pay an ETF? This seems like a much better deal to get an "off contract" phone than paying the $639.99 for the same exact thing...am I wrong?

a lot of reports say its still not 100% confirmed but I think it is.

Best Buy Pre-Order Update Thread

Did you Pre-Order the Galaxy S4 from Best Buy as per this link? Pre-Order in store like I did at 3:27PM on April 16th? Let's post the updates here as to when you pre-ordered and when you receive the device, hoping I get an email from BBY in the next few days since the AT&T stores are shipping out theirs to customers today!
Also, any discussion on pricing, discounts, price matching, Phone Freedom should go here as well.... I paid the $50 to pre-order, have the $50 off attached to my account for Phone Freedom, and will hopefully get some money off with price matching, despite the new wording that says they don't price match contract phones! They told me in store while pre-ordering that they would price match Amazon, Walmart, etc (full list on this page) when I came to pick up the phone, so post your feedback with that as well

I pre-ordered in BBY yesterday. They told me they weren't sure when they would receive the devices, but that usually it's the same day as the in-store release. They also told me that pre-orders take priority over other customers BUT that the people who pre-ordered first would take priority over those who pre-ordered later. Basically if the store receives 10 phones, and you were number 11 to pre-order at that store, then you would have to wait until they received another batch of phones. They were unable to tell me how many phones they would be receiving. According to the BBY Mobile manager i spoke with, they usually receive the phones the same day as the carrier stores. So here's hoping for Friday/Saturday I get a call/email from my local BBY!
I was gonna pre-order from ATT, but when I spoke with a rep, they told me all orders after the 22nd would not ship until the 30th, all other orders are shipping today.

I just got back from visiting two BBY stores in my area, the one I had a pre-order at and a larger store that has a much larger inventory, in order to find out if they even received any in, and here's what I took away from the things both stores told me.... the STREET DATE for this phone is the 27th, Saturday, and even if they receive them in before then, they will not sell them early - if an employee is caught doing it, they will get fired, no questions asked.
When the HTC One released on that Friday, they received their inventory in on Wednesday, and emails went out on Wednesday telling people they could come pick up their pre-orders on Friday - the same should happen here, they should receive the pre-ordered S4's sometime before Saturday, and an email will go out, like bvic01 said, first come, first served, to those who pre-ordered.
I was first out of only two people who have pre-ordered at my local store, so they're all but guaranteeing that I'll get mine on Saturday, fingers crossed.....

I think I was only one of a handful that preordered in my store so I hope to get it on Sat.

When I pre-ordered mine, the manager told me that the day before the pre-order count for that store was 13. Im kinda nervous I wont get it the day it comes out. Worst case scenario, if I dont get an email/call by tomorrow, I may just try to get one from an ATT store and use the BBY $50 gift card for a case/screen protector or other accessories. I can always find an excuse to spend money at BBY

Exactly, don't know why people were hesitant to pre-order! Yeah, 13 is kinda high, don't want to crush your hopes or nothing, but if there isn't a large amount of phones getting shipped for launch date, sending more than 13 to one store is pushing it.... I HAD to order from BBY because I'm not going to say no to "free money" with the Phone Freedom $50 off deal, that's just crazy unless someone else had it for $50 off at the same time!

OK, so now im a little pissed. I just found out that even pre-orders on the 23rd have been shipped out overnight by ATT and are being received today. I called ATT on the 23rd and was told if I preordered through them it wouldnt ship until the 30th, even though the other pre-orders were already shuipping. They said everything the 22nd and back would ship this week. Well looks like they lied, everyone is getting theirs and Im stuck waiting on my BBY pre-order.

Technically, they shipped out on Tuesday, they did not offer overnight shipping unless you upgraded to it, but rather free 2 day shipping.... but yeah, AT&T moved up their ship date to the 23rd even though their launch date is tomorrow with the retail store sales beginning on Saturday - don't know what the difference really is, but Saturday you should be able to get one in store or at BBY if you pre-ordered!

Actually, go read through the last few pages of the ATT pre-order thread. Orders on the 23rd were upgraded to overnight without charge and without request by customer. There's reports of people checking their tracking to find it on the truck for delivery today. So the difference is, if I had pre-ordered through ATT like I originally planned, I would be getting it today. Oh well, I like BBY's device protection plan alot more than ATT's due to the no deductable. I actually carry both, ATT's in event of theft or loss, and BBY's in case I break the damn thing. lol

i concur with you on the best buy protection plan. you pay $5.99/mon for it. if you do anything to your phone, you take it back to them and they ship you a new or refurbished one that day (as long as the claim was put in before 1pm). i have used this service twice and both times i got my replacement phone 2 days later. seems to me to be the best protection plan for phones.

Yeah, it's just another few days, I'm not too worried! That's interesting about the two protection plans, how much does the total of them come out to be? I decided when I bought the SIII not to put any protection on it, SquareTrade has just gotten out of control with their prices, and I'm SO careful with my phones and tablets, it's ridiculous - to date, I have never used a case or screen protector on my SIII after buying it at launch last year, and it still looks brand new!

I'm upgrading on contract, and also talked to the girls at BBY about this whole "end of showrooming / price match" thing I posted links for already, and they said that without a doubt, it does NOT apply to contract phones, so they will not honor the price match at Walmart (which, don't know if you saw, is over - Walmart changed the price back to $198 already)
I asked them what the price matching applies to, and they said "cases, accessories, stuff like that," yeah, like I'm going to go into a store and say "hey, I found this $2 cheaper on Amazon, price match it for me!" They said that so many people asking BBY to PM online retailers when they would never order a phone online, and it didn't make sense to give away money even though people wouldn't find another way to buy their phones - like myself, that's the main reason I buy in store is because I buy so many things online, but I won't have a phone shipped to me, I just don't like the idea all the way around....

I'm upgrading on contract, and also talked to the girls at BBY about this whole "end of showrooming / price match" thing I posted links for already, and they said that without a doubt, it does NOT apply to contract phones, so they will not honor the price match at Walmart (which, don't know if you saw, is over - Walmart changed the price back to $198 already)

Thanks, no I hadn't seen the Walmart change. Not really a big deal tho. I did the buyback thing with BB when I got my S3 last year. I don't know if that's the greatest deal or not but I'm thinking I'll just add another line then get the S4 at upgrade price. Sell them back my S3 and then next year upgrade the S3 line to an S5. Or maybe I'll just keep the S3 for backup.

If the staff won't waste their time with the buy back program, I don't think anyone else should either! I asked them about that too, as in "who in their right mind would give up their SIII for so little?" I was going through eBay to get my phone ready to sell my SIII once I've got a fully functional (read: rooted) S4, and it said this, no joke:

VZW Note 3 @ Best Buy Oct 4th(?)

Hi guys, I just wanted to pass along some potentially juicy info. I've been amped up about a potential early release of the VZW model from that last thread that got closed, so I've started my own sleuthing around.
I saw a thread somewhere that someone had heard from a Best Buy employee that the VZW version would be on sale on Friday, October 4th (that's this Friday!) As a result, I decided to call 4 of my local Best Buy stores (which included one specialty BB Mobile store) and check for myself. This is what they said
Store 1: "we don't have an exact date yet, but it should be within the next week" (this is unfortunate, because this is the closest store to my house)
Store 2: "our system says October 4th"
BB Mobile: "we haven't received any shipments yet, but the system says October 4th"
Store 3: "We haven't gotten a shipment yet, but if they arrive, they will go on sale on October 4th"
Things are beginning to look up again for the Verizon faithful. I encourage everybody give their local BB stores a call to see if you get similar responses. My only question now is if they'll price match VZW's $699 price if the corporate stores haven't started selling them yet (Best Buy currently lists full retail price for the VZW variant as $799)

And they said that this was for the VZW version? The only reason I want to verify, is that the AT&T version releases on Friday the 4th, so I hope they weren't looking at that.

One can only hope, ive called 5 stores in utah and 4 of 5 said the 4th?? but that's weird cause its friday and VZW usually likes thursdays???
i guess we shall wait and see....i'll know when/if i get my preorder email friday morning!

This is the Verizon version. I'm grasping at straws every chance I get, so I hope this Oct 4th date holds true. My heart's been broken once already with the original Sept 29 early shipment rumor (which I hold nothing against the EZ in his thread for), so I'm hoping this holds true.
And hopefully it's for both preorder and walk ins. I'm contemplating cancelling the VZW corporate preorder, and pre-ordering one with BB...

Honestly, if by some miracle BB gets it on 10/4 then I will be at the store asking them to hold one while I call Verizon and cancel my pre-order.

Just spoke to my local Verizon store and she said that they were actually supposed to have them in-store in the next few days, but that had been pushed back and that they don't have a definitive date at this time.

Just got back from BestBuy - pre-ordered there as well. If it's a waste then I just have a $50 gift card sitting around. At this point I cant tell if my pre-order from Verizon will arrive before or after BestBuy... Either way, hoping that one of these places gets it this week.

Hopefully it's the same as the S4 release from Verizon which shipped 8 days before it's expected ship date.
..Also the S3 pre-orders arrived several days before the ship date as well.
..Unfortunately it looks like they didn't start shipping the Note 2 until it's ship by date.
It's Verizon though, so of course we can't have a truly definitive ship date.. If they botch my order I'll ship the Note back and just wait until December to cancel and go to T-Mobile. I lover Verizon's service, but they make getting the latest greatest so damn difficult.

May I ask what makes you say that? I'm not disputing you (quite the opposite, judging how all these early release rumors are going), but maybe you know something that we don't.
I'm gonna call BB every day until we can get something more concrete, either from them or from VZW

youre fine i just say that knowing verizon and other people saying they would ship by now. verizon wont let bb beat them to the punch.

Called 2 best buys near me (Hershey, PA) as well as 2 verizon corporate stores. Best buy guaranteed the 4th - verizon reps said that is the tentative date if all goes well. Take that as you will, just thought I'd share

it will be nice if they do release it on the 4th but this sounds a lot like the AT&T thread that claimed a release on the 27th at best buy. I used to work at bb a few years ago and the release dates would change all the time until the day before something is supposed to release then they would put a notice on that product to start putting it out on the sales floor. Not sure if they still use this method but thats how it worked when I was there.

Went into my local BB today (Long Island, NY) and they said the 10th.

Well, I called the store closest to me again, came at them with "I've been hearing it'll release on Oct 4th for Verizon", and they told me "we won't know until the Oct 4th release date".
I'm considering just putting money down on a preorder at the store, then waiting to see if BB or VZW will sell one to me first. Does anyone know if BB will price match Verizon's retail price if it hasn't released yet?

My friend that works at Best Buy Mobile spoke with a rep who said it will be at Best Buy on the 10th. The phone will be out for every other carrier on the 4th; Verizon hasn't given an exact date yet which is why Best Buy employees are most likely saying the 4th since that's the day it will be released for every other carrier.

I second that. My friend is a manager at the Samsung department of BB mobile and he said 10th is when BB will have the GN3.

I was told via BB Wireless sales chat (3) different chat sessions and each one said Verizon Wireless, October 4th. I will stop into the store tomorrow, if its there great, if not, then next Thursday it is. But if you notice the BB website says "In Store Only" for Verizon and "Pre-Order" for all other carriers. So why would that be if there isn't something going on.

Verizon S9+

Anyone else preorder from Verizon? Anyone have any idea when they're shipping? Mine says on the 16th, which would be way later than every other carrier. Sucks because my HTC 10 is dying and I need a new phone pretty quick, being attached to a charger all the time blows.

Update: cc ran on Friday and got tracking Saturday. FedEx overnight showing delivery tomorrow Monday.
I pre ordered on the 2nd was told by the rep that if I signed up for the Verizon up program that the phone would ship earlier. I checked the status today and it has a 3/12 ship by date.

Preordered both my Verizon s9+ and s9 from Best Buy on 3/2. They took the money Friday but the order still shows processing with an estimated delivery date of 3/16... No updates yet...

Mine says it shipped today and FedEx says it was actually picked up as well, expected delivery Wednesday

Mine shipped Friday, FedEx has Monday delivery before 5.

Best Buy will be Friday the 16th for any orders. Just a FYI from what I've been seeing. Unless your store breaks corporate policy and will allow you to get them early.

I reserved the past two galaxies (s7 and s8) from best buy and all received them exactly 4 days early. and that was store pickup also. so crossing my fingers it will be the same for the s9+

Least the stores I've been too that's what has been told to me. Maybe the peeps at my place are little more... strict with the timelines.
With shipping might get a day or so earlier but sadly I wouldn't expect unless you get a confirmation 1-2 days out.

That's what I've heard so was expecting that myself when I did the pre-order then found out after the main crazy calmed down that Friday would be the day :/ I mean great, least I'll have it for the weekend, sucks because was expecting it hopefully as early as tomorrow (Wednesday). So eager since I should of never given up my "personal mobile" 4-5 years ago (forgot which) and eager to get it back, let alone be back on android.
Don't get me wrong I want it earlier and hope it does and Best Buy isn't being a stickler for the street date of the 16th. I'd do it early so there isn't a potentially larger then necessary crowd trying to get their phones all on the same day (walkin's vs pre-orders) , but hey I'm just a customer and what would I know about logistics.

Best buy just charged me. So hopefully that means they got stock and will be releasing them soon.

Mine, too. Shipped late Sunday (shipping label), picked up Monday, due tomorrow (Wednesday 14th). Verizon S9+ in Idaho, USA. Can't wait!
