Please to someone share all the custome mods in a zip for hammerhead.
Flashing for the sake of flashing?
What the... How could anyone possibly do this even if they wanted to...?

I'm just curious if anyone knows where I might find the stock JB bootanimation for the Nexus One...preferably a flashable zip? Thanks!

Yes, I posted it here.
Edit: added flashable zips.
Hello all,
Does anyone know if you root your phone, or install a custom kernel, if it will affect Nexus updates in any way?
cheers!
Rooting no, custom kernel yes

root alone, no.
if you add a custom kernel, the updates will download but fail.
Thanks for the quick reply gents!
Will root get lost if the firmware gets updated?
Also is there a stock kernel flashable zip anywhere?

1) yes
2) https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images - fastboot flash boot boot.img
I can't find one. Want it for 'just in case' emergencies

Yes, the stock factory image. Flash in fastboot. It's not a zip though.
Sorry, i meant flashable zip for twrp/cwm, so if anything bad ever happens i can reflash the system in recovery

Here's one from the development forum...I think this might be what you're requesting... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47024308
[ROM] [KRT16M] Pure Stock // Odex + Deodex // UNTOUCHED (Nov. 18, 2013)

Ah cool. That'll do nicely!

It's not really much different from having a nandroid backup though. I assume you're trying to mitigate issues by flashing mods and breaking the ROM? Because that is the only thing this helps with and no more so than a Nandroid backup would.
It will not reproduce the magical healing effects of flashing a stock image via fastboot.
I like to have an emergency backup in case my normal backup has problems. Lol

I f you want a 100% Stock ROM from the link before, take the Odex version.
Thank! Was looking for this also.
As a n00b, I wanted a copy also just in case.
Can I flash custom recovery or some other things like boot.img in art mode ? Or I must return to dalvic to flash? thx.
While I'd still make sure to check for specifics in the relevant thread for whatever you're planning to flash, I've had no problems flashing either custom recoveries or kernels when using art.

Thanks for your reply..:good:
Title says it all. I really don't feel like running the stock img since I don't have my own PC right now. Please let me know. Thanks.

No. OTA no longer will apply if you have custom recovery.
Download an existing full stock flashable ROM.zip
That's what I was talking about. I can't seem to find a 5.0.1 full flashable zip anywhere.

Might need to wait a day or so...
Yeah just wait a few days. Some one will post up a stock rooted zip that you can probably flash over what you have now in a few days
