[Tool] Rooting 3D Max

Max doesn't have bootloader lock. only cube have RSA lock.
So below information about RSA is wrong.
I'm so sorry about wrong information...

I don't have Max, so i can't say sure, but it will work properly.
0. Download attachment and exctract it.
1. Connect USB to Max.
2. Check USB debugging.
3. Execute Rooting.bat
4. After put some files, Max will reboot. then press and hold volume up button to go to S/W Upgrade mode.
If you fail, try manually. turn off your max. and while hold volume up button, connect usb to Max.
5. Execute LGMobile Support Tool. and after check the connection with Max, Customer Support - Recovery phone. Reocovery phone function doesn't affect your data.
If LGMobile Support Tool isn't installed, Execute B2CAppSetup for install support tool.
6. When upgrade progress more then 9%, type enter.
upgrade will start after download kdz complete.

If you see 'Fail to find file' and use Win7, execute Rooting.bat with administrator permission. or try with WinXP.

Below is for development.
Max's upgrade way is
1. Extract wdb.
2. Extract AP and CP files and don't remove.
3. Do upgrade using AP and CP files. remove files after upgrade.
So we can modify AP binary before it is putted to Max.
+ Wrong
Because Max have RSA lock likely Motorola phones, we can't modify boot or recovery partition.
(OMAP... so RSA... It seems 1024bit... )

But we can modify system partition. So we can try to find some useful file that is executed with root permission.
That is hdcp.sh, in system partition. (/system/hdcp.sh)
This file will be modified likely

hdcp.sh is in LGP720_AP[02].bin. and MaxRoot.exe find that hex data, and modify.
Location of LGP720_AP[02].bin
Win7 : C:\ProgramData\LGMOBILEAX\Phone\LGP720_AP[02].bin
WinXP : C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\LGMOBILEAX\Phone\LGP720_AP[02].bin
You can use MaxRoot.exe put Phone folder directly.
If AP file isn't there, you put MaxRoot.exe into another folder that AP file is extracted. and execute MaxRoot.exe. It also check executed folder.
I think that it can use with KDZ Tool also... maybe ? ;;

if you use Win7, pls execute Rooting.bat with administrator permission.
or
Try on other computer. WinXP is good for you.
if you failed above two method, Pls do this.
When upgrade progress more then 9%, Enter directory
Win7 : C:\ProgramData\LGMOBILEAX\Phone
WinXP : C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\LGMOBILEAX\Phone
and see some files are generated. specially LGP720_AP[**].bin, LGP720_CP.fls. if you can't find them, search C: (windows is installed) about LGP720_AP while Recovery phone.
and talk to me wherer files is exist.

If i key right > run as administrator gave me error
So I activated the super-administrator in win 7 ( from the dos prompt: Net user administrator /active:yes)
reebooting my Netbook, double-click on Rooting.bat .... the procedure is successful!!!! P720 now is root!!!

have you tried to restore it in emergency mode with lg tool?

You can exit recovery by remove /system/recovery_mode.
but ... T.T....
LGMobile Support Tool's Recovery phone can reocvery your Max.
Pls try this.... T.T;
Method of go to S/W Upgrade mode is that,

At the third attempt before with w7, and then xp,I managed to make the root with w7 and super administrator,thanks to the board of rainbow2112.

For those who are not satisfied with 5.1 or stuck in bootloop, here a way back.
For the bootloop:
First you need to have the boot and recovery.img of 5.1 flash in fastboot. For an open bootloader is required!
- Fastboot.zip download and unzip.
- The fastboot folder to the hard disk on which you have installed Windows, move.
- Switch off (Vol - and press Power until it vibrates).
- In Windows, click Start - All Programs - Accessories, select Command Prompt.
- In the window cd .. and press Enter while typing up her only the drive letter (C: \>) see.
- Now you give a cd fastboot and Enter . In order for her in the folder.
- Now that off with Mate Vol - to the PC.
- Now you give fastboot flash boot boot.img and Enter, then fastboot flash recovery recovery.img and Enter.
This means that both you have flashed.
- Now disconnect the device on and off with soft Vol + Power.
- Then you can proceed with the instructions.
For users whose system is running:
- Download and unzip this file. The Update.app contained therein in the dload folder to the SD.
- This flash now.
- Now the Update.app the B137SP03 in dload folder and flash
- After that the device starts again with 4.4.2.

Thanks Foox1, Its working perfect, even i had this error at 95% on the first UPDATE.APP, and i did not have the 300 roll back version when rebotting, i succeded installing 137SP03 after that at the end i installed B141 and everything was perfect.
I think B141 is the best update by now... i got very good performance and battery life... try it.

Then we flash the second update.app with the B137 firmware?

I do the second part but nothing is happend. First I install the first file "update.app" then my phone reboot and then I install the second file update.app from B137, my phone reboot again but nothing it happens.

Flash Part 1 Dont Reboot
Flash A Part 2 Dont Reboot
Flash SuperSU
Note**If Elimnater74s Rom does happen to delete your recovery.img then you can still flash TWRP by using FlashFire by ChainFire**
Also once you upgrade to MM even if its a ROM you CANNOT revert back to LP.

It is part of the tot, directions look good, follow completely and you can have stock-rooted MM

All I was looking for, thanks, will try this this weekend.
OP, just a suggestion, you may want to indicate that twrp is part of the tot file. It wasn't clear there.

This method certainly looks cleaner than the other method discussed last night. Looks like pure stock rooted which is exactly what I want. I passed out last night after i finished backing up everything which is a good thing now! I don't see anything about unlocking the bootloader in his instructions which is interesting. Basically it's flash the kdz, flash the tot, reboot recovery and flash superSu and you're golden. You would assume that this is necessary but has anyone tried this yet and not had to do that? It would actually be a bonus to not have to do that and avoid the corruption splash screen.

If we are already on stock MM do we need to install the KDZ first? Or is that just to get you to MM?

I enabled OEM unlock in settings, so I don't know what the issue is. I also tried redownloading the files.
Nevermind, had to get into fastboot via Vol down + plug in USB then unlock the bootloader via adb command

is your bootloader unlocked? that was my problem. had to unlock it to get the phone to boot, then i got into TWRP and flashed su. i got it all done with the help of member warp64

Hi XDA. Good Day. I really need your help. I used TWRP and accidentally wipe all the partitions like Dalvik Cache, Cache, Data, Internal Storage, System, Cust and External Storage and after that I got no OS installed. Any idea how to fix this one?

Im facing boot loops, I wanted to install lineage os but my device was not supported, I accidentaly deleted all the memory through twrp, the phone have unlocked bootloader and it can get into fastboot without issues, the adb/fastboot on pc it detects the phone. The one thing which I was unable to do was to get into factory update via holding vol up down and power button
I found the stock firmware rom for my phone here :

You can't go to factory update like above until you flash "stock recovery.img"
Do you have the file named " stock.img " ??

You'll have to flash the official stock recovery.img first
and then you'll be able to install Official Firmware or "Update.app" on your mobile..

unfortunately I dont have a file called like that, where can I get one? would you please walk me through the process of how to install it? I would be very thankful if that will be possible, I think this tutorial will help lots of other people too which is a good thing

I flashed it the same way as I was doing twrp, copied into adb folder first then shift +right click and open cmd and then I checked fastboot devices, then fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
What to do now sir? hope I did not messed up something

Download the file and paste it into root of your ADB folder (where you've placed adb.exe file)
1. Now Hold Shift and Right Click (on empty area) and choose open command window here.
2. (On your mobile) Enter into fastboot mode by pressing Volume Down key+Power Key together. (while mobile connected to computer)
3. Now in command prompt: type: fastboot devices to check device connected or not (optional)
4. Now Type: fastboot flash recovery stock.img OR recovery.img (whatever the name of file you downloaded) and hit enter.
5. Flashing will start and done in a few seconds.
6. When it show ok OR Finished, you are done.
Now your phone is in stock recovery mode...

first time it failed because of typo, then when I wrote the command again it went through it showed message okay, please how to proceed from here?

If no, then you can download from the official website of Huawei.
If yes, then proceed to following:

I did so I formated my sd card and then extracted the zip with dload folder into the sd card. After that I removed the sd card and put it back into the phone and then I pushed vol up and vol down and then pushed the power button. after a while the honor screen turned on and after that the recovery emui utility installed the android and that was it! Thank you for helping me to unbrick this device I really appreciate it I wanted it to flash it originally with lineage only because of privacy concerns, would you give me tips on how to make the phone more privacy related? so it will spy on me lesser? I mean is it possible to get near lineage os in terms of privacy?

I'm Sorry! I do not know much about Lineage OS. Once, I tried to flash Lineage OS but got same problem as you.
Later on, I found a complete way, But couldn't do myself due to lack of time. However, Here is the link for step by step guide.

Hi Sir, My Huawei G Play Mini ( CHC-U01 ) is in Boot-Loop. how do i fix it?
i tired Fastboot with all firmwares and i read all the guides but still no fix.

Swipe Elite max : Unlock Bootloader,Unofficial TWRP, Rooting and Stock reflash.

IMPORTANT UPDATE : I have observed that when mounting system R/w device restarts. It means that even after rooting successfully, system is blocking the app. So rooting will not be complete as of now,till further corrections. Rest of the operations are normal, quick reboot apps work properly. and device works normally. So please bear with me.
Freinds , this thread is basically for what the title suggests. After a long time I was able to do it.
I'll update as required, so be patient. and keep watching.
1. Unlock Bootloader
a. Boot device in bootloader from adb in cmd terminal. (To go in fastboot mode, press power and volume down button ).
Please enter these commands, one at a time.
Code:
adb devices
(this will show your device)
adb reboot-bootloader
( device will reboot to bootloader). Then enter this...
fastboot devices
(this will show your device)
fastboot oem unlock-go
( If it shows already unlocked, go to twrp flash. If it is not, It will ask for erasing data, so backup all your data. This will unlock your bootloader.)
2. Flash TWRP
In fastboot mode: continue.......
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
(Flash the image I have provided)
You can also try
fastboot boot twrp.img
( to try this image file, if you are scared of bricking the phone.)
3. Flash patched boot.
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
(Flash the image I have provided. This is necessary as otherwise the su zip may not work )
4. Rooting
Please copy the SuperSu zip file to your micro sd card. Now boot to Twrp recovery. My advice is to backup of your system and boot. Then wipe data, dalvik-cache,cache, Internal storage. (Sometimes, format option is required.)
Now flash this zip.
If there are errors anywhere, please tell me and I shall try to correct them.

Stock Reflash and subsequent Update:
1. Stock Version V12 Reflash :
Remember , boot takes 5-10 mins to come on. So don't panic when device doesn't boot.
If the need arises due to any reason device hangs in logo, first restore only boot which you backed up. If still no change, restore system also.
But if you want to flash stock version , then read ahead.
The FOTA zip did not work for me from adb sideload. So I will recommend the QFIL download.
1. Download Stock Rom and Qualcomm downloader from here
Extract the zip. Install the drivers.
2. QFIL install : Download and install Qualcomm downloader.
It should look like the image in attachments
1. If it shows Flat Build / Meta Build, choose Flat Build.
2. Click "browse" and select "prog_emmc_firehose_8937_lite.mbn" , in the Extracted Stock rom folder
3. Click Load XML and select "rawprogram_unsparse.xml" in the Extracted Stock rom folder.
4. Click Load Patch and select "patch0.xml" in the Extracted Stock rom folder.
5. Click Download. If device is in adb mode, no problem, it will go in download mode automatically.
If it is not, just connect and shutdown device . While it is shutting down, it will connect automatically andf flash will begin.
Do not disconnect while process is on. Be patient.
2. Update to V15 :
After Stock reflash, the update to V15 comes immediately after connecting to internet.
Just incase someone wants to flash it offline , here is the process and file.
1. Recovery Method : Place gobi zip in adb folder . Go to stock recovery. Press Volume up and Power button. Once in recovery, choose "update from adb" .
Enter the following command in cmd console :

Glad to hear that. I don't have any information about specific roms for swipe but we may have to port any aosp or lineage roms for our chipset (msm8937). Once I'm free, I'll get to search that. ....

I have ported an AOSP for Redmi 3s. But it has flaws,(wifi, etc.) will take time. Also, I have removed all unwanted apps from the stock. So it is now smaller.

Actually, AOSP and lineage Os ,both are ported successfully. But there are some flaws. Time is a major factor.
Also, I think Our Rom is better than these roms. From twrp I removed all useless apps. So memory has increased a bit.
So, i think instead of marshmallow I should try Nougat or Oreo if possible. Of course time is an enemy . Just hope.

Hi. This is a very late reply . Sorry for that.
To enable volte, you have to go to
Settings>More>Cellular networks.
Here, you have to enable/On Enhanced 4G Lte mode.
But, you have to remember, few things. Our phone has only one 4g and one 2g slot. You can use any slot for 4g. The other will automatically turn to 2g. This happens when you choose data for that sim.
Another problem you will face if you have the other sim of JIO. It works only in 4g. So if you awnt volte /4g on Airtel and other sim is Jio, you will have no network on Jio as it does not work in 2g/3g.
For Imei , just google SN / IMEI writing softwares from the net. But mind you enter the right IMEIs, as you mind land in trouble if non-matching one is written.
What base band file do you want ? The firmware folder ?
