I'm quite satisfied with current firmware version in my uprooted phone and I don't want to install update firmware. But phone keeps bugging me to update. How to hide all these notifications but not disable update? I just want to skip this update and wait for lollipop.

I have a rooted gingerbread os and it keeps automatically, without asking, downloading and attempting to install an update. I don't want the update. I don't want to see "update failed" either. What can I do?

I woke up this morning like usual grabbing my phone before i headed out the door. When I was watching a youtube video a 4.4.3 system update notification showed up, i assumed it must be the next snapshot from cm but it wasn't the same as a am update it looks like an update that would come from google. I would like to know if i should download and flash or re flash cm or anything would be helpful. the update is 92.2 MB if anyone is wondering. thanks in advance.
You should look at this. You're on a custom Rom and recovery. You may have other things that would cause the update to fail. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47369234

You can't install an OTA from Google while on a custom ROM. It will fail.
Waiting for updates

Hello I can not find the update OTA I download it is not in the cache
Did you apply the update? If so, then it was deleted after it updated. At least on mine it was.

Mine is B120SP04. Hmm.. try rolling back to your previous version then format + clear cache partition via fast reboot (volume up and power button). After that, upgrade to LP.

Well, i did not formatted the phone after upgrade to lollipop, could that be?
It could be the problem. You could try reformatting it

I'm currently on stock, rooted 6.0 32.1.A.1.185 and received an update on my phone yesterday to update to 6.0.1.
I assume if I proceed with the update I will lose my root, is this true? I froze the Updater so I could get the notification to go away. What's the most straight forward way to keep root and get the update. I haven't seen anyone post a stock rooted rom with the update to flash over what I currently have.
Thanks
Yes, this won't work.
Use a rooted tft or custom Rom.
Xpower v3.0 is great.

Cool, thanks. Anyone knows if the installer wipes data? I will probably just do a fresh install but I might not if I don't have to.
Yes, backup to SD card
Do a factory reset and fresh install.
