[Completed] Please help with HTC HTV31 (BUTTERFLY 3) - XDA Assist

Hello everyone,
I purchased a HTC HTV31, also known as Butterfly 3 ot HTC J. It works fine in Europe (Romania exactly). I have full signal, full mobile connection at 4G.
I have two main problems.
First,it seems that I can't send any text messages. I've doubled checked the text message center and if there are no sms restrictions with the local operator.
Second problem is that it's full with Japan au bloatware.
Do you think it's compatible with the last rom for HTC OneM9 because the specs are almost the same. Or can somebody help me with a clean rom for this phone?
Here are some informations :
Android version 5.0.2

[Q] Newbie requesting help with Desire S 'no service' issue please?

Hi there,
I was recently given a htc desire S so i could work on android app development some more, but for some reason its stuck on no service/emergency calls only.
In searching google i landed back at xda developers after some years (used to have many xda's/htc phones), and discovered the "rcmix3d runny s v2.1" rom, but as i've not installed the custom rom myself, i don't really know much.
I'm very new to android and was hoping someone could help me to resolve the issue?
What i know is the following info about the phone, what i don't know is the original network provider;
---------------------------------------
Desire S S510e
Android Version: 2.3.5
HTC Sense version: 3.5
Software Number: RCMix3D Runny S v2.1 [proxuser]
Kernel version:
2.6.35.10-g71db9d1
[email protected] #1
Fri Aug 12 12:39:13 CST 2011
Baseband:
20.28I.30.085AU_3805.06.02.03_M
Build:
1.01.401.1 CL176843 test-keys
Browser:
Webkit/533.1
---------------------------------------
I'm not sure of some of the technical states, though i do know the phone is rooted as the Root Check Basic app reported this.
I guess ideally i'd like to just restore to a working android rom - i think the factory version was 2.35 Gingerbread, however, i don't know (1) what network the phone was originally on, or (2) whether the current state might prevent or cause problems in trying to restore an alternative rom.
Note that when i was given the phone i used an online service to provide me with an unlock code which i think was successful, though i've not been able to test.
I'd be real grateful if anyone could provide some guidance or pointers with getting the phone working! - At present it works perfectly outside of being able to make calls.
If there's anything further i can provide, please let me know!
Thanks very much,
Ant.
Just wondering if the phone is locked to one carrier while your SIM is from a different carrier.
Hey BillGoss,
When i was given the handset, i used an online service to provide an unlock code.
I entered this and i believe the hendset is now unlocked to all networks - I have tried tmobile, voda, o2 and orange sims, but all show 'no service'.
I'm pretty sure the unlock code worked, because prior to entering this, certain network's sim cards would result in a message asking me for the unlock code - since entering the code this doesn't show.
Though i'm not sure as i don't know too much on the android side, i think this could be a baseband issue... Just don't have a clue how to go about changing this or identifying the real problem.
thanks for your reply/suggestion though, appreciated.
Anyone else have any ideas? - thanks!

[Completed] Unroot HTC One m7 complete noob

Hi, I bought a 2nd hand phone that is factory resetted clean. But when I wanted to update the kitkat version from 4.3 to 4.4.2, it won't update. I researched and concluded that this is a rooted phone because I saw in the hboot that it's s-off. I've also read that when a phone is on s-off, our OTA updates are blocked. I would really need some help. I don't mind being a developer(cause I might sooner or later but not now because I'm new to HTC and I want to experience it first.) or not. I just want to get the latest version of kitkat 4.4.2 so I can get Sense 6. I would really appreciate help!

[Q] Noob question about radios

Sorry for being dumb but... I'm running CyanogenMod version 10.2.0-ville on an HTC One S, flashed using CMW, and everything seemed to be working fine. The problem is that I don't get 3 or H, only G or E, and I think my APN settings are all correct. I think I may need to flash another 'baseband' or 'Radio'? (Sorry for showing my noobs...)
I'm on T-Mobile in the UK.
a) Is there a special radio I need to flash?
b) Can I flash it 'within' my existing ROM, or do I need a new ROM?
Model number: One S
Android version: 4.3.1
Baseband version: 1.11.50.05.28_10.27.50.08L
Kernel version: 3.4.11-g69442cc [email protected] #1 Wed Dec 11 20:17:51 PST 2013
CM version: 10.2.0-ville
Build number cm_ville-userdebug 4.3.1 JLS36I 5e6b787ae3
Network: T-Mobile
Mobile network type: GPRS
Any help?
Did you make sure your phone is for the network your current carrier uses?
For example, a T-Mo phone will work with AT&T but only in 2G, voice and text.
Also, you could try to upgrade your baseband version, I remember after switching carriers my data never worked until I upgraded my baseband

[Completed] [Q] How to Root HTC One X + Unlocked AT&T World Phone

I Just purchased a "HTC One X+ Unlocked AT&T World Phone (64G - Quad core)" from Amazon. It is a brand new phone with NO SIM Card. I'm looking to Root this phone And would like to be pointed in the right direction. Based on what I read in the many forums related to rooting the phone, I'm overwhelmed with info. At this point I'm not even sure what I have for a phone. Like I said, looking to be pointed in the right direction. In opening bootloader this is what the brand new phone is telling me:
***LOCKED****
EVITARE_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT - 1.32.0000
CPLD - None
MICROP - None
RADIO - SSD:1.09.55.17
eMMC - bootmode: disabled
CPU - bootmode : disabled
HW Secure boot: enabled
MODEM TYPE: MDM9215M
OCT 20 2012, 13:45:56
In going to the software info on the phone I have :
Android version: 4.1.1
HTC Sense Version: 4+
Software Number: 1.15.502.9.710RD
HTC SDK API level: 4.63
HTC extension Version: HTCExtension_Sense45_1,
Kernel Version: 3.1.10-g262c6aa, [email protected]#1, SMP PREEMPT
Baseband version: 1.09.55.17_18.20.95.55L
Build number:1.15.502.9 CL122548 release-keys
Browser Version: WebKit/534.30
The phone is new, out of the box, with no simcard installed. It has the AT&T "Globe" icon at the top only. I already use AT&T as my carrier and intend to stay, at least for the moment. Looking to be pointed in the direction to answer the following questions
1) Can I root this phone? 1A) Can I do it without a simcard? Then I'm looking to update Android version (can I get to the latest?), and simply take my existing Simcard from my old HTC One x phone and install in the new. Finally transfer all data, etc from old phone to new.
You all do such great work, so I do feel a bit dumb in requesting guidance. I do hope I provided enough info for you to Educate me in rooting this phone. Thanks in advance for your help
Hi,
I can't find anything about a "world phone", so it would be best to ask the experts who own your device here,

Good luck!

[Completed] Think I bought a rooted/flashed phone - Help!

Hey all,
Recently got a "New" HTC M8 off ebay and believe something to not be quite right.
I have absolutely no option of "System update" to try and get an OTA update (it should be under "About" I know but it isnt).
My wish is to update it to Marshmallow stock.
I tried the HTC RRU with the only listed file on their website (this was htc/us - I am in the UK and cannot seem to find a UK version) but it failed repeatably with an error. Thought I had bricked my phone but luckily not.
The software infomation is;
Android 4.4.2
HTC Sense 6.0
Software number 1.54.651.8 (google shows it as a rooted custom ROM?)
HTC SDK API Level 6.17
PRI Version 2.62_003
PRL version 00000
Kernal version [email protected]#1SMP PREEMPT
Baseband version 1.09.20.1112
Build number 1.54.651.8 CL326598 release-keys
Does this look right?
If it has indeed been flashed with a custom ROM I am really pissed at the ebay seller for this "New" unused phone in a box. I have checked the SN and IMEI and seems to check out OK.
What are my options to get my phone to a stock ROM able to get OTA updates?
I am pretty PC tech savvy but have no clue on phone rooting/flashing.
Thanks in advance,
Ricky
