Xiaomi Mi5

I am interested in waiting for Mi5. But can anyone say as to the ROM development for Mi5. I typically prefer to flash CM12 myself, and other variants like Pandandroid, Liquidsmooth, etc, and going to Mi4 dev, there's not much develpment.

there is a proper AOSP rom which is better than cm12 which is bloated and not as good as it used to be.
AOSP + exposed is the way to go.

Mi5?? How can anyone know about the development of a non-existent device?

Agreed, tough to tell.

Just wait for it to be released in the following months.
Surely someone will develop a CM12.1 variant for it.

cm now offlicially support mi4, so i think it will be also for mi 5

Got my device (included with a boat-load of Mi bloatware) via a friend coming from China; Installed Google Apps using an app available in Mi store; Google Now Support or Integration is just zero. It brings up some Mi search engine (looks like); Camera does not seem that impressive to me, but may be I need to keep trying all other options too. I see the chinese stuff here and then. Other than that speed, eye-candy-UI, look and feel seems pretty good. Couldn't wait for a stable and latest CM version. Any idea where we can get the drivers-source-code for MIUI 7 and 8 ? May be I can start working on a Marshmallow-version for Mi 5. Any pointers would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Try 'A Better Camera' in the play store.
Has a lot of options and can also make better quality jpeg (100% setting instead of 90 or 95%).
But startup is slower then default app.

Oppo camera is the best for me.

May I know where can I find this oppo camera that works with mi4i?

Not really, my phone just adapted to having bt on all the time because my huawei watch, and battery seems to be bit better. Nothing major thus far

Xiaomi Redmi 4 Pro ROMs

Hey guys,
I recently got my Xiaomi Redmi 4 Pro (please pay attention that it is not the Note model).
Is anyone planning to develop and ROMs for this phone or is it still a bit too new for that? I would absolutely love if there was a stable version of CM for this to be honest. It has awesome hardware and the only downside is the software to be honest. Im currently running the stock Chinese ROM and its not that good.

Can you please confirm if this phone comes with Compass sensor. You can download any sensor app to check

Yeah from what I can see in CPUZ it does (magnometer its called in the app).

Unless the kernel source code is released by Xiaomi, no one could develop it.

Redmi note 7 pro battery regarding

I m not getting better battery backup it gives only 4-6 hrs sot without playing any games. (Just browsing Google also causes 1% drop for every 5 mins, also if you play pubg for 30 mins it drops 15-20 %). Will any custom rom or beta rom solve my issue ??? Please help me

Give a try to custom miui rom xiaomi.eu rom. The battery backup is here awesome

Yes its an issue with miui, i think they are decreasing backup so that you switch to their newer devices eith every update they will decrease backup they are just focusing on selling new devices

Have u first unlocked your bl ? To check go to devloper settings and then check lock status

Go to this peter twrp thread and read the instructions there and install peter twrp. First install platrform tools zip(googel it if u dont have) and extract it in pc. Then follow the instructions to install peter twrp.

Battery life is not amazing on MIUI eu either. People are reporting some impossible times. I had it for a week and switched to Lineage OS as soon as it came out because of how bad the battery life was on MIUI eu.

You have to unlock your device and flash twrp, and then in twrp you flash lineage os.

It's pretty bad actually. I got like 4 hours sot on Xiaomi eu
