Samsung Galaxy GT-P5110 - 81 pin fpc connector (digitiser/touch screen) - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I'm new to the forum but have been following XDA for a good while without being registered because most of the answers to my questions were found within other forum posts but I've not found an answer to this question;
I currently possess a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (GT-P5110) and the touch screen does not work. The LCD works perfectly but doesn't respond to touches. I ordered an 81 pin FPC connector to replace the old port directly on the main board but am not 100% sure on how to remove the old one. The reason for the replacement was that I noticed a few bent pins which I believe may be causing the problem.
Can someone point me in the right direction. I won't take it to a shop because I am looking at this as a learning curve so would prefer to do this from home.
What tools would be required to remove the old 81 pin FPC connector from the GT-P5110.
Any help would be much appreciated and thank you in advance.

[Q] SGS GT-i9000 ... list and reference of electronic parts

Dears folks,
I'm in search of a list of the references of the electronic components/parts of the Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000.
In particular the reference of the main speaker (see pics attached) part since I've broken this part while replacing my broken LCD screen/digitizer.
I failed to find any OEM/electronic parts suppliers selling this.
Any idea ?
Thanks beforehand.
The SEC part number for QSP01 speaker module is GH59-09408A.
It will cost you around 25-30€ I recon.
Would anyone happen to know where to get a gps antenna? Its the sticker-type just beside the speaker.
I can make a small donation for whomever finds a such antenna.

The antenna assy is not sold separately.
You need to buy the whole middle frame.
Price is about 25 euros.

@ Richthofen
Thank you. Huh same question as "rkantos", any idea where to buy GH59-09408A online ? Failed to find it on eBay.
you might try these folks http://www.globaldirectparts.com/
they're in Texas, USA
Thanks Larryccf. Unfortunatly, not in their catalogue.
I'll have a look straight to korean "suppliers" ...
Okay, I did some further investigation and found out that this "rear speaker" is manufactured by a Korean company named Bluecom.
The reference of this "speaker module" is HQS151135P ... which is to be found inside the plastic ****.
Hope this help for future "unlucky" like me when disassemblying the SGS.

For the 2 touch buttons ... lookout on eBay with the following keywords (I cannot give the direct link since I'm limited in my profile account here) :
"Flex Cable Keypad for Samsung Galaxy S i9000 wTracking"
... quite not sure it includes the mic and the "plastic" button at the bottom of the phone, tough.
Thanks itdoe. I'm just looking at this and there's the mic, that's exactely what I'm looking for! That's maybe the solution for my physical button which lost his sensitivity and the two touch button which doesn't work ...
But I have one more question :
Do you know where I can find the wire connecting this part and the mothercard? (like in the pics).
That's a standard cable or that's a spacial Samsung cable?
Someone know what's it utility?
I ask you that because I disconnect this cable and everything works in my phone only the two touch key.
After some investigations, I found what's this wire. That's the network cable which work like your hearset for the radio in your Galaxy S. That's in fact an antenna! (maybe for bluetooth too, but I'm not sure for that!)
If that can help someone

The microphon and antenna stay on button flex cable ...
You can find it on Ebay (search : "GENUINE SAMSUNG KEYPAD FLEX RIBBON CABLE FOR I9000" )
I think I've the one million dollar question ...
I wondered if someone know where I can find the power flex cable welded on the mothercard to remplace my cutted flex cable ... (or eventually this reference).
If you havn't any information about this one, do you think it's possible to use an other flex cable model?
thank you for your answers...
To bad there is no answer to the real flex cable or the middle part. By my own stupidness i destroid the flex cable. I think I must buy a new SGS then all my holiday pictures and videos are in the broken phone. So the new Samsung Pad must wait...
Thanks, my i9000 is ok now

How to fix a not working touchscreen (Tinji i9300)

Hi,
Could you please help me on how can we fix broken touchscreens? I'm using Tinji (Tianji i9300 s3 clone) mt6577 phone. My Einstien brain managed to cut the flex cable to touchscreen and its now not responding at all. I'm using Tinji i9300 mt6577 chinese phone.
Initially, the screen did not respond on the right and left wing where I was struggling to even unlock it.. Thought of opening the cell and reassembling it myself looking at various forums feedbacks mentioned here. I opened the cell apart but before I could realize that the flex connection touchscreen, I already had broken it and now the touchscreen does not respond at all. Dead as stone!!
Is there a way to fix it. Request your help plz. Thanks.
buy a new one. those digitizers are not that expensive and getting a new one is easier than soldering a flex cable. trust me, i tried it myself on a cannoo.

Phew!! atleast I have someone hearing me on these forums.. Thanks a ton for your reply..
Request you to please guide me from where do we get these digitizers? are they screen specific as in 4.7 inch or CPU specific as in mt6577 specific? Or will normal digitizer work? Thanks.

[Q] What is the name of the black connector mat behind my charger?

Hi, I have an Iocean X7 Elite which I have had for almost 8 months now. Recently I cracked the screen ( by accident of course) and I have purchased a new one.
So.... I installed the new lcd screen myself and it works fine. Only problem is it did not come with this black connector sticker/mat that lies behind the battery. So I was unable to connect my mainboard to the speaker, mic and charging socket area of the phone. I did peel the sticker/mat off the old lcd and connect it to the new one, but to no avail it does not work.
I really need help on what this mat is called as I believe this is the issue with the phone. Any help would be appreciated.. Please feel free to ask any questions.
Thank You Very Much

[Q] Nexus 7 help

Hi all hope this is the best place to post this request. I was replaceing my daughters Nexus 7 screen for the second time and managed to break off the lower of the two srung bronze/copper tabs for the internal wireless antenna on the mother board - I thought I'd simply solder a wire from the board to the case but the remainder of the tab just came off and there seems to be nothing to solder anything too on the circuit board. Does the second Tab do anything other than act as a ground?
thanks for any advice

[Completed] Nexus 4 screen partially unresponsive - replacement parts?

Hi
I have a Nexus 4 that I dropped a few too many times.
Now part of the screen is unresponsive to touch (and once in a while a get a ghost touch).
I'm about 99.9% sure this is a hardware issue - so my question is:
what do I need to replace? The LCD screen seems to be working fine and also the glass is intact. you could only tell there is a problem by actually using the phone.
Is it the digitizer that is in charge of the touch?
Also if it is - can I replace it myself or should I go to an expert?
I know it is a matter of technical skill, but I heard that replacing the digitizer alone may be too difficult as opposed to other parts.
Thanks for your help
Hi there,
See bellow few discussions about this issue:
