You need to go into the firmware of the phone or call a provider who can walk you through it. There is a way to change it after you update the mobile data. Your almost there its just one more step and then you reset your phone.

To go into the firmware ? Can you detail?
Hello There,
My phone is an L55U(China Unicom variant of D6633). I have been using D6633 non-rooted stock rom for some time. and received lolipop OTA. It was okay but somehow it had problems like not able to read pictures in sdcard etc.
Recently I switched to pre-rooted stock ROM following the procedures shown in
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/stock-firmware-23-1-1-e-0-1-customized-t3084544
When using this rom, the google apps constantly crash, so I switched to another stock rom shown in
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/d6603-5-0-2-flashable-stock-23-1-0-690-t3056361
(D6633_23.1.1.E.0.1_HK_SuperSU_XZDR2.8.20 thanx to @alvinlim28)
But this time an even more irratating problem occurs. The phone mobile data is disabled no matter how I try. I tried to swap the simcards and it seems only the data roaming can be used.(my two simcards are local Ortel D and roaming ChinaMobile, as I now live in Germany).
Also tried restarting, limiting the simcard in GSM only mode but neither worked. Other functions are fine so far. I am now dowloading the pre-rooted RU ROM but it may take a while. Later I may test with that one.
plz help. thx
Maybe you're using a Rom from another country/carrier. think HK means hong kong in this case. You need to find a german one.

Problems solved after I did these procedures all over again and switched to the customized generic stock lolipop. It turned out that the stock HK ROM somehow couldn't properly retrieve the mobile data network settings.
Interesting.... Have you manually added the APN data for your mobile carrier?
Hello, in december, one day suddenly i was in the car and i was driving through a zone with a low signal, from that moment, my S6, losed the signal, and died (?). Today, are 2 months that i don't have signal. I have also tried different sim cards, but nothing. After i had this problem, i did a factory reset from the phone, i put a different sim card in the phone and it worked, i saw the carrier, and i received the sms with the internet configuration, after 1 minute i lose the signal, after that, again, the phone didn't wanted to receive signal. i also tried with a romanian SIM (i am from Italy), but nothing, i see the R near the signal bars. if i go in settings and i search the network operators, the phone finds all, but i can't connect (the SIMs in another S6 works). my phone originally had a brand ROM (WIND Italy), so first through Odin i re-flashed it, but nothing. i also tried to flash the fw with no-brand, but nothing. I've tried absolutely all, i did reboot, flight mode, factory reset, Odin, changed sim, i don't know what to do. my model it's the SM-G920F, i have the 5.1.1, i never did root or flashed custom ROMs, the IMEI it's okay. if i go in ''SIM card status'', in Signal strength, the signal moves, but in Service state it displays "Out of service". The curious fact is that, before this happens, the phone worked for 6/7 months normal, without network problems, after i started using this operator (WIND), after a few weeks, it started that crazy story. what can i do? :crying::crying:
Check your imei *#06#

thanks, should i wait for the italy Marshmallow update or install the other already existing? because here in Italy, Vodafone has released the update, should i install this one, or maybe the UK or another? i am on the no brand fw.
Flash any stock 6.0.1 from Sammobile(it won't change Your knox counter) and if it doesn't work take it to Your carrier seller or samsung service repair center. They both will either fix it for free of give You a new one. Mostly odin reflash fixes all problems.

okay, in past, the flashes i did, i just flashed on Odin without doing factory reset (from system or recovery), or deep clean, should i this time? because updating the fw, it updates the modem part, so i think that i don't have to reset it (?), i don't know, also after i did the update, if the network doesn't works, can i downgrade back to 5.1.1 simply flashing again the fw?
Just make sure you are updating the right rom for your model...dont use another rom for another model...this can get you problems after some times...lets say you flashed vod rom on XEF this will give you ptoblems later mybe loosing imei or signal....and if update ota you get updates for VOD not XEF...its just not right...my advice update right rom for you model look sammobile

i think the problem could be the antennas inside...but i guess the fix is to replace the entire motherboard and that is expensive

You mean flash the 930U firmware in 930T?
Hi - I have a SM-S908E that was originally loaded with a CSC of CHO (Chile). CHO was plastered all over the Service Provider Software Version info. Previously, I had upgraded to another CHO firmware version (S908EXXU2BVJA).
Today, I tried updating and installing a a more recent SM-S908E firmware, but this time I chose a CSC of MXO instead of CHO in Frija.
The new firmware installed fine, and my phone appears to be working properly. My new build number is S908EXXUCWAI
However, when I looked at the Service Provider information, it still shows "CHO" everywhere, and MXO isn't showing up anywhere.
Is this correct?
And, if I somehow changed my CSC to MXO, what would that affect?
Thanks,
¿GJ?
if you updated it without wiping(ie. using the home_csc instead of the csc file in odin) there would be no change. if you full wiped it when you updated it it would likely have the new csc.
Ah, OK - thanks!
Would there be any benefit to change my CSC from CHO to MXO?
I have been trying to get my phone working better on the AT&T network, and I did see one improvement after this update: I now see the Enhancedphone APN (which supports 5G) listed, where only nxtgenphone (4G) was listed before with the CHO CSC firmware.
Unfortunately, when I select the Enhancedphone APN, my phone doesn't connect to AT&T network mobile data, only the nxtgenphone APN connects to mobile data.
Hi guys
Which rom is better for battery life and good performance?? Just stock rom
I Have build number S908EXXU3CWAI
But battery life is poor And the temperature of the phone is always hot with normal use , A factory reset has been done after the update :/

Hey, @jojobans051 - You're right, I have noticed significantly worse battery life since I installed this new ROM. I am also looking for an alternative now.
Can I flash an earlier MXO ROM onto my S22U? I found an earlier MXO ROM (S908EXXS2BWA2) on the Sammobile site.
¿GJ?
different CSC's really only have carrier specific bloatware to my knowledge. if you find a better APN youcan usually manually add it.
in terms of current stock rom. I clean flashed the newest one for 908u1 and i have had better battery life than any previous update. so honestly i think it comes down to what you have installed and what you have disabled.

As a side note, I finally rooted my S22U and installed Dr. Ketan yesterday, and wiped the CSC as part of the rooting process. It still shows the CHO CSC everywhere, not MXO.
After doing the clean installation, my battery life seems a bit better than when I installed the firmware on my unrooted phone.
