hi ppl
now that almost the whole departement here has mda2s, it's really annoying because everyone seems to use the same ringtone
so i did search the net for different telefone rings ... but was not too lucky. maybe someone has some ring tones for me ... i'd like to have a REAL phone ring tone - no fancy star trek sound or something like that. just some different ring-ring
looking really forward to some help...
thanks in advance

just about every wav file and wma you can think of can be used
here are some
http://www.yorch.net/ringtones.htm
you can also record your own ring tones if you like
it's just sampled sound
hmmm that was a good start
but the problem is, that almost all "real" phone rings are the same as integrated in my MDA. so nothing really new.
i know that i could just record my own phone and use that wav file. but then i can't tell between the ring of my mobile and my normal phone at home, when one of them is ringing.
that's why i was hoping for anyone else who already recorded his phone at home (or work) which surely would sound different from those i have here around me.
thanks ...

well i think that you can use mid (polyphonic ring tones) aswell like the normal cellphones if you can find a site with ring tones for normal cellphones you got a big pile of them
I was wondering if there are any tweaks or any way to just have the "repeat" tab available for all the notifications?
I really need this for my missed calls and missed sms messages.
I have a t-mobile mda vario and i was wondering if any one could help me?
And is there any way to further increase the overall volume on the phone and to import different kinds of vibration types? I just wanted to know because i want to further enhance my phone capabilites.
Please search for "How to Enable Repeat Play Audio Sound Notifications in Windows Mobile"
You will find the solution!
Teknasia, why don't you link to your answer to this question? I did your suggested search, and the first 6 links are all copies of this post.
The answer from teknasia is at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3319983#post3319983
The solutions posted don't really work
If we are honest we should let folks know that the 'repeat' registry hack does not really work the way a normal user would expect. For example the one commonly posted for SMS messages keeps alarming until the 10 minute mark, even if the message is already read.
So while it is true that you can enable repeat notifications for events such as text messages, the reality is it does not work perfectly.
If you want something that works, meaning once I read the message the notifications should stop, then there are products out there such as phoneAlarm that do the trick, and more, quite nicely.
PhoneAlarm in my opinion is the best solution not only for repeat sounds for SMS, Missed Calls, E-mails but also reminders from the Calendar and Tasks
I have subscribed to a monitoring service which send me alerts via sms. I want that if I received a sms from a particular number then a different sms tone will sound or a file will execute etc so that I can differentiate that the message I received is important.
any way to accomplish it?
I have the same situation and would also be interested in a solution for this.
Is there somewhere we can submit suggestions to MS for inclusion of this in a future 6.5.1 revision? It would be easy to add surely and another nice feature that iphone, android etc. don't have.
Not tried it yet, but looks like this might do it: http://qorefunctions.com/
OK tried that and don't like it. It's not seeming to show all my contacts and the limit on the sound is 15 seconds, whereas I want an mp3 of a few minutes to play.
So back to the drawing board.
Done more research and trialling this: http://ringomo.com/windows.php
Seems to work well so far and cheaper than the other one too.

I tried it on my Samsung Jack i637 stock rom and in less than 10 minutes I uninstalled that ringo crap. It messed my profile up. Wish there was something light weight that doesn't screw with the contacts and profiles so much.
How did it mess your profile up? Not had any problems yet, although I am getting a funny 'ding' sound play when my phone wakes up before the proper text alert sound plays.
SMS!Alert
Hi,
SMS!Alert work perfect for it.
SMS!Alert allow you to create custom alerts based on SMS messages, enter a incoming phone number and/or keyword filter, when someone sends a SMS with the keyword filter text or if incoming phone number matches, phone will display sound alert.

The subject basically says it. I can't find a tutorial for my specific phone the Sprint Samsung Transform. I have downloaded my songs, trimmed them down, created the ringtones folder on the root of my sd card, and dropped the mp3s in there. went back to phone settings sounds and notifications. changed my phones ringtone, that worked. now i want to change the sound the plays when i receive a new text, but i cannot find the option to do that on the phone. am i missing something or is there a hack or anything that will enable this?
i found a sort of fix for this. change your notification ringtone to whatever you want your text message ringtone to be. the only problem is it makes that same sound for every notification. most noticeably when you plug your phone ino the charger. thats the best ive figured out tho.
Anyone know of a way to do this?
I get random text alerts for stocks, and want a specific sound for a few choice words that get sent to me. Mainly, SELL xxx stock.
Now, I don't mean for a specific contact, I mean like an alert type text you get from those find my phone type apps. But, I don't want an annoying sound blasting off.
Ideally I would just like to specify a specific sound that will alert even when the phone is on vibrate or silent.
There's gotta be something out there!
Thanks in advance.
