I'm just wondering if some one else has this same issue and if it has been fixed/worked around somehow.
I'm running CM9 and have a car bluetooth unit. I make and receive calls fine, but oddly, I can only stream music using Apollo and Google Play. All the other apps don't work, pandora, tunein, playerPro, powerAmp, AmazonMP3. This only happens when I try to use my car BT, everything works fine with other regular bluetooth headseats.
Using stock ROM or stock-based ROM (like skyics) everything works fine; all the apps transmit my music to the BT unit without problems.
Ideas?

Actually, I know some BT issues have been reported, not this one in particular. But my main question is if someone has found a fix or way around.
Since I couldn't find anything, I kept researching and discovered it is a sound routing issue in CM that happens with BT car units; regular BT headsets work fine.
I downloaded this app (sound route switcher bluetooth) that forces the sound to be routed to whatever you select. When I select to force the sound through BT, all the music apps transmit fine to my car BT unit.
This particular problem only happens in CM and AOPK. The stock or stock-based roms (like sky ics) route the music properly.
The BT problems have been reported since CM7 but they don't seem to care about it.
I got exactly same problem and I am running CM jelly bean on my samsung S2 the car I have got is toyota camery with stock audio system. I have been looking for the solution but cant find anything on net.

Install the app I linked above or get a "stock-ish" ROM.

Hi,
I tried searching about this but couldn't find any solution.
I'm streaming music in my car through bluetooth. Whenever my device is unlocked everything is perfect but if i lock my device the music stutters. I tried this several times and indeed it's happening only when the device is locked. The music streams but keeps on stuttering every few seconds.
Does anyone else have this issue? Is there any solution?
Thank you.

Hi folks,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Core I8260 for Latin-America with stock ROM and Kernel (I8260LUBAMG2).
When I'm playing music using A2DP Bluetooth to my car stereo the phone begins to play intermittently, the sound goes mute and playback stops, then resumes after a second or two. I have tried with lots of music playing apps. Problem persists. :crying:
This happens always and a lot of times during any song I'm playing over A2DP, which is very annoying because it's like pressing pause and play over and over again.
My guess is that the phone can't process all the files and signals without lagging, but even my old blackberry can play music on A2DP without this issues.
Can you please help to fix this problem? Thank you
Anyone?
Come on guys, just let me know if you have this problem on your Galaxy Core too or is it just me?
I'm wondering if I have a defective unit or what's happening.
Go to service centre and repair your phone, its defected model, or change the car stereo perhaps. :?

Hi all,
I just got the OPO few days ago and I'm having issues with bluetooth. I use bluetooth in my car to stream music. Everything was working fine on my Nexus 5.
On the OPO i can connect without problems but when playing some music there is some strange stuttering and skipping of music...
Anyone also having this issue ?
I'm thinking this is a software bug as I found out that CM had a lot of issues with bluetooth stuttering...
Bump ?
I haven't had any issues. I've probably steamed at least 12 of audio over Bluetooth so far this week. Being CyanogenMod, I'm not sure if it supports aptx or just a2dp. Either way, no issues here.

What rom? Did you change performance settings? Installed Viper4Android? Anything not stock?
fwiw I found that V4A caused issues with certain settings (convolver enabled, clarity) if low max screen-off frequency was forced. Otherwise my BT doesn't skip at all or lag on two sets of speakers, Sony MDR-1RBT headset and a car stereo.
Does your previous phone have the same prob?

I'm now on Mahdi ROM and I have the same issue. I'm streaming via bluetooth into a FM transmitter (http://www.newpotatotech.com/TUNELINK_ANDROID/tunelink_android.html). It was working fine with my Nexus 5.
I don't think I changed anything... I will try to troubleshoot it again, but I think it must be some software bug..

Same issue here. With a tunelink FM transmitter.
I don't have any problems with a prius Bluetooth and generic chinese navigation system.

With the M8 stable rom, the Audio quality is better, the micro stutters are still there though
It's a known bug with CM11 no fix in sight as far as I could find:

Atleast we are not alone. Hope it gets fixed soon.
I also have issues with Bluetooth, I use Poweramp as my media player and have it set to autoplay when it connects to BT but when it connects, it plays a brief second and stops. I have to manually play the music.
I also noticed it only sends the first song metadata rather than change every time I play something different... Annoying.
had similar problems with both my S4 and Z1 on CM (using both since one is my private and one my business mobile) Both are now on PAC (7/10/2014) and even before that i did not have the bluetooth issues with them on PAC. try it out - there is a PAC for the One (which i will use as well when mine arrives this week (hopefully))
or try with omnirom - they use a different BT implementation

Cheers

Could you give us a link to the PAC ?
Check bacon-1005 on jira and vote it up. Cyan-4147 was reported specifically for the m7 and it's gki_Linux errors. There are some patches I'm testing to isolate the cause of the stuttering. Don't worry you all are not the only ones with the issue.

Yes got to have good bluetooth in call reception, every other rom i tried terrible.
PAC rom bluetooth quality?
Can anyone confirm that PAC rom has fixed the problem of bad quality BT audio?
I am runnig the stock CM rom - now rooted, but the problem has been there all the time since I got the phone. The sound quality is not acceptabe with my Lexus RX 450h handsfree for the outbound call audio, that is I can hear quite well, but the other person can not.
My old phone Galaxy Nexus worked just fine, so there has to be something wrong with OPO's bluetooth.
Guys user: BIOYAM
Found a fix that worked for him and for me. You can try this:
Install SetCPU (I used a free app No-frills Cpu controll) with Governor: Interactive, CPU: Max 2265MHZ & Min 652
This totally stopped my bluetooth audio issues. Of course you need to be rooted to use these tools.
Hope this helps. :good:
Problem solved!
Hey problem solved
I had bluetooth pairing and buffering problems and now everything works perfectly. what I did was flash OPO_OxygenOS_1_0-modem-flashable.zip (you can find it somewhere in google docs..don't remember the link)
anyway after doing that everything works perfectly.
I am running cyanogen 12.1 nightly build from 20150601
then I flashed the modem.
Hi,
I'm using my Nexus 5 to play music via blutooth in my car. At the same time it is connected via blutooth to an ELM327-OBD-II-dongle to display engine data using torque. This worked fine on Lollipop (stock, rooted).
Since upgrading to Marshmallow (stock, rooted) audio stutters (a short "break" every few seconds). The problem disappears when I stop torque; I also tried using a different music player, but that did not help.
Has anybody experienced something similiar and/or have an idea what I could try to fix this?
Thank you,
Joerg
Turning of "Fast communication" and turning on "ELM AutoTiming (slow)" instead in Torque's ODB2 adapter settings resolved the audio problem; updates in torque are much slower then before, but that's ok for me.
