[Completed] Unbrick LG G3 Beat D723 - XDA Assist

Quite recently i recovered my Beat when i managed to soft brick it and it just booted into fastboot mode or whatever you call it (im a newbie).after days of searching the web i managed to find something called LG Flash Tool from which you can flash a .kdz file which i think is a firmware file .You can find how to use the LG Flash Tool from here Mod Edit .You need to download the firmware file and i downloaded it from here Mod Edit (im guessing it works on other models as well such as the D722 or the D724).
Once downloaded you need to open the LG Flash Tool and select the firmware file you downloaded and select either of the two flash options (normal being for the one with your data being recovered and Csu the one with your device being wiped ) i did the csu as i had already messed my device up .I hope you find help from this thread and manage to recover your beat and best of luck to you all.

Greeting,
XDA Assist is not the correct section to post this in.
Please re-post in the device specific forum.
Thread closed.
Thanks,
Sloth

if you messed up the system files, you will need to re-flash stock to fix it.
all the files and guidance you need can be found here.

I tried the link you gave earlier but the program used uses a kdz file. I didn't know which one to use. What are all the files needed on the link you gave ? Which KDZ files are used for each different phone companies of LG G2 ?
I chose to use the download from the link I showed and fixed it from the "LG G2 Stock" folder download by following the instructions.
The link that I posted is the one for Sprint ZV7. Using that it unbricks it and then had to update software from ZV7 to ZV8 to ZVA to ZVC to ZVD. Not it's all updated.

i dont understand the problem.
there is a "sprint" directory on the downloads page with only sprint files there (including 3 of the builds you mentioned).

On the flash tool it says to select a kdz file. On the firmware link it shows different kdz files but which one is suppose to be used if it is ?
In the Sprint directory (home > Xda > LG G2 > Stock > Sprint) it shows a .dll file and some zip files. I looked at one zip file and it don't have a kdz file. Is that needed to use that flash tool ?

Hello @emppu,
I can't seem to find any threads on XDA with your device, I found this however: [RECOVERY][ROOT][ROMS][MODS][Other] Vodafone Smart II/Alcatel V860/MTC 962 although this is for the Smart II the people there would possibly be able to help you - so ask your question in that thread.
If you are able to get into recovery mode there might be a option to update from SD Card, if so, just copy the firmware to the root of your SD and give it a shot.
Cheers!

Wrong sboot.bin on Samsung Xcover 3 - Hardbricked?

Greetings, everyone! Usually I have good knowledge regarding rooting, custom recovery and flashing a new system. But this time I tried to downgrade the Samsung Xcover 3 of my friend and flashed the Android 4.4.4 sboot.bin with Heimdall - unfortunately I forgot to tick the "no reboot" option. The moment it rebootet, I know do not have any access to the phone anymore.
When trying to bring it into download mode, it vibrates, but nothing else. Neither Linux nor Windows recognizes the phone. Is it dead? How to gain access so that I can flash the correct sboot.bin? Any tricks you recommend?

If you can find a "debrick.img" or "debrick.bin" for your specific model number, there is a method that uses your external sdcard to boot the phone then repair it while it is booted.
But, first, you need to find a debrick.img or debrick.bin for your specific model number. If you can't find a copy for your model number, you can try finding another member here that has a rooted Xcover 3 with the exact same firmware as your device had and have them pull a copy of debrick.img or debrick.bin from their device then upload it for you to download.
If you can't find that, the only other options are to send the device to a repair shop for JTAG service or replace the motherboard.

I did not even expect that someone would answer here. THANK YOU SO MUCH, @Droidriven! That gives me hope to rescue the phone instead of having o buy a new one for my friend. Here is what I actually did wrong: In my attempt to "downgrade" from 5.1.1 Lollipop to Android 4.4.4 Kitkat (downgrade needed to be able to root the phone) I flashed the sboot.bin of Android 4.4.4 Kitkat with Heimdall and forgot to tick the NO REBOOT option.
That being said, the phone now only vibrates when using my JTAG (yes, I actually have one and the phone vibrates, but does not boot into download mode and is not recognized by neither Windows nor Linux). So, how to build this unbrick image? Could you help me with that? Both firmwares are to be found here:
Code:

Another thread with sadly no file uploaded was to be found here:
Code:

As for the creation of the unbrick image, do you recommend this tool? I currently have no Windows at hand but can provide you with the original PIT file if you can run this tool to create it:

Furthermore, I actually wanted to install LineageOS on that phone. Not sure if you have a Google-foo so strong that you are able to find a working one for me?
Thanks a lot for your help. May god return your efforts in helping me!

Sorry, I'm just now seeing this. Did you ever make any progress? Yes, I think there are some reliable methods to create debrick.img/debrick.bin files, there is one such method posted here at XDA in a random post in a thread here but I can't remember exactly what thread it is.

How to unbrick LG K51

Hello friends, new user and noob here.
I came to this forum thanks to a thread of user @Warlockguitarman who explains how to root/unlock LG phones in general.
My problem is that I tried to downgrade this phone to unlock the GSM carrier (original MetroPCS) using LGUP and an old firmware of the carrier, and the downgrade worked, but the unlocker tool didn't work with that firmware, so I tried again with the oldest firmware I could find (10F) and well, the phone became a nice little brick since then.
Working with different solutions, and thanks to the tutorial by @Warlockguitarman I somewhat make some progress, and now the device is recognized as Mediatek without the connect/disconnect status and I can use SP Flash Tool.
The thing is I don't have anything to work with. I found a scatter file alledgly for K51, but it didn't work.
Maybe some user here have scatter from a backup to try to revive this thing?
Thanks all for your time and responses! I appreciate any help I could get.

Unbricking isn't so difficult.
Since the device now gets detected in BROM Mode (Mediatek USB Port), the next thing is to build a scatter file from your extracted kdz then go the SP flash tool + MTK Bypass route or just use MTK Client
Building a scatter is a little beyond my experience.
Is there any guide or tutorial to learn how to do it?
Many thanks for your answer!

Don't understand, what you're asking for.
Title says you want firmware files but in the post you're asking for .dll or smth.
In my different LG flash tool files I see loads of .dll files.
Which one are you looking for?
btw posting in the LG G3 forum might have been a better way to find help if my post doesn't help.

Don't understand? If you use recent versions (e.g 2.0.1.6 or 2.0.1.9) of LG Flash Tool, you need a specific .dll that is proper to your device to detect the phone in download mode
I didn't find a .dll file (required) for my LG D722, if you have one please link it right here

No, I don't have it.
Long time ago when I flashed my (now broken) G3 I used this method and needed no downloading of a specific dll.
Therefore I asked.
My G5 will stay on LOS 18.1 anyway.
