[Review] Incredible 3GB 6000mAh Innos D6000 review specs - Android General

Possible issues:
D6000 reboots: 2 users have stated that turning off animations was correlational to D6000 rebooting itself. I have turned off animations since the beginning and not experienced this problem at all on any ROM. Still, it's worth noting here as a possible solution: Turn animations back on if animations are off and you are having reboots
Box states other than official site in regards to frequency support: Gone, info link removed by XDA mods.
Several users experiencing restarts when phone goes into deep sleep
Hard bricked after ROM install: Plug phone into PC via USB and enter recovery (VolDown+Power) then do reboot
v2.4 D6000 dedicated function button not working. Solution: Switch to Chinese language and set by pressing button or through system settings. Switch back to English. Profit.
At least 4 Western users and one China user has experienced "dead battery" syndrome. The internal battery will not charge. Phone boots into Android, after a few seconds phone freezes, then reboots or powers down. Battery charge icons do not show when phone powered down. Solution:

https://yadi.sk/d/LKwZHvUEiosBx (Drivers + QPST/QFIL)
1. Install the drivers. (Accept all default settings)
2. Install QPST/QFIL (Accept all default settings)
3. Unzip the tar.gz to a folder. (Remember this folder)
4. Run QFIL, it should auto detect the port (mine was COM5)
5. Select Flat build.
6. Select Programmer Path from the unzipped tar.gz folder just now and select prog_emmc_firehose_8936.mbn
7. Ensure the Select build path is the path to the unzipped tar.gz folder.
8. Click on Load XML and select rawprogram_unparse
9.. Select patch0.xml
10. Click on Download. Windows will suddenly find and install another new driver and you will receive a "Fail to find QDloader" error
After Windows has installed the driver, go to QFIL and select the new port number for the device Windows have just installed. You should see the number change from 9091 to 9008 and different COM number.
11. Press Download again and cross your fingers.
Root, gapps, TWRP tutorial: Gone, link removed by mods.
Recommended gapps: http://opengapps.org Make sure to DL ARM-64 for 5.1. Pico recommended.
For those concerned about frequencies, we finally had a Canadian answer back and he's connecting to bands as advertised on the site. This means the box is incorrect and the official Innos site is listing the correct frequency support: Gone, link removed by mods.

Wow thanks for sharing :highfive:

Spec are good, but is innos a reliable manufacturer ?

Where can I buy one from 'Canada, and will it be in english????

Should be released this week. You'll need to buy from a China shop most likely, Innos D6000 unlikely to be sold retail in anywhere but China or China resellers.

Do somebody know, if it's prerooted? If not can somebody know how to do it?
Can I load there some custom roms?
Will custom roms recognize two batteries, or it's just unique for this innos firmware?
Details of software is necessary to buy, because without root it's useless.
It would be nice to get some more details of its software.

The Innos D6000 has just been received. As far as Innos D6000 root, rooting it shouldn't be a problem. I may delve into that later, but at this point just general testing. So far it's proving to be a very professionally done package. I've put together a quick unboxing. Just slammed it together. Nothing fancy. Uploading to YouTube now. Already up on Facebook.

Sweet, thanks for the review. I've been looking at this phone for the last couple weeks and really interested in getting it. Really looking forward to the full review on your site!
Also, what exactly do you mean about rooting possibilities?

It means the phone is rootable, but most likely will need to flash TWRP / CWM.
I'll be doing a running review of the Innos D6000. Piece by piece, then putting it together at Gizbeat with a conclusion. Most likely this week.

That's nice. Can't wait Your movie and my innos it's
Still waiting for dispatch in China...
It was nice if the root methods will work for it.

Hi all.
I bought this phone last week and so far is great.
I found a Chinese forum and install a ROM via native recovery from there but all the Gapps are gone now. The phone have no root and Market.
I install Mi Market and manage to install Play Store and Google Services but the Play Store gives me an error of connection due to the host file in System / etc (root).
I'm not a developer and i'm looking for a Custom recovery or Root access for this device, when you have please post it....
Thanks in advance

Hi All,
I also had problems with an update removing all google services.
You need to use the annoying Qualcomm wire brush method and drivers! As its type C USB, you will also need Qualcomm Ethernet drivers and not standard USB.....
In windows 10 etc you'll also have to disable driver certificate verification to install the drivers.
At the moment there is no root option, but here's the google play 5.1.1 version:-http://bbs.innos.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=59378&extra=page%3D1&mobile=2
To register on the innos BBS to view links, you'll need a QQ messenger account to use the baidu cloud downloaded.
I would post the entire instructions but I'm currently on holiday in the Ukraine.
Let me know if you need any more help installing the ROM and getting over the great firewall of China!
Thanks!

Hi Ado James
I have everything you said here except the Qualcomm ethernet drivers.
I will look for this in Google and try to install it and then try to install the ROM....
I will keep you post it
Thanks

This bbs site lookslike fully of helpful informations, but even after translate looks like hard to understand...
Maybe it's time to make space for innos at this forum? Mods?
It could be reason to collect soft or even ingest developers to do done software?
It was nice to install TWRP and some custom roms like slimcat or cm... Is it possible? Will wait, will see...

I also get the Innos D6000 and are happy with him. By reading your posts it's not an option to upgrade(using wire brush) to a newer version of software due to the play issue(suppose international shipment bring a bit different rom from the Chinese version). On the innos bbs forum i also noticed people not happy with newer software than v1.1 (android 5.0.2), but also noticed people are happy with this rom:

it seams it bring play, anyone tried it ?

D6000 frequencies?
According to Gizbeat there is a question about frequencies
<MOD EDIT - Link Removed>
Owners of d6000 If you could, please state your location and what frequencies you are quite sure you're connecting on.
There's also this thread: Where a user is unable to connect to B7 LTE
<MOD EDIT - Link Removed>
Because I'm from USA and it means the phone is completely useless there if box is correct.

I've communicated with Innos today. According to them the specs are as stated on their official page and through their selling partners. The box only reads the minimal frequencies so as to not confuse Chinese people where the majority of these phones are sold.
Of course, this isn't 100% solid. What we need is reports from people who own the phone, where they live and what kind of connectivity they're getting, especially from anyone in N/C/S Americas, but any reports from any locations are good.

I got my D6000 on saturday. My problem is, that the phone is always reebooting when you turn off the display. This happens in between 1-2 minutes after put the phone in standby. When i turn on flightmode the phone is not reebooting!! Maybe there is a bug with the modem. I use TELEKOM (t-mobile) in Germany.
The rom is version D6000_ROM_COMMON_V1.1 (Android Version 5.0.2).
Any ideas?

Hanz, that's a good guess that it's something with the radio or radio software. If I were you, I'd try the beta 5.1 and see if the problem continues. If it doesn't, then you know it's a software issue. If it does, it still might be a software issue (eg, if it's a driver or baseband issue and these files not changing between ROMs). I'm only recommending it as part of the process of elimination.
First you might want to try setting to WCDMA only, GSM only, LTE only, and see if it's an issue with more specific connectivity. If these options don't exist in mobile network settings, try to use this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.mangelow.network&hl=en

[Q] Disgo Tablet 6000

Hi,
someone is interested to develop a Rom with Froyo for the device "Disgo Tablet 6000"?
Thanks in advance
Il Conte 81
I'd love any info on this too. Disgo Tablet 6000 has a rather locked down version of Android that doesn't even have Marketplace nor Facebook. I like it but it's currently useless until you add in some apk's.
I'm therefore willing to experiment a bit with loading roms onto it. Done so on my Hero but would need a few pointers on this one as I go.
Ive updated my rom to 2.2 using a rom for the sylvania tablet - but have lost root access and considering downgrading - I aslo have a running android market but no paid apps (looking into how to enable this)
Its a good cheap device - any input greatly recieved
I downgraded my rom to 2.1 and got root back!! YAY!! Im trying out getting android market on it tonight and seeing if I can get apps2sd working.
Id love to know how to build roms....but...there is no recovery image just the option to install from sd or via the OTG port.
Rom building I have no clue with and unlike regular android which can utilise the recovery process and a rom in zip form you need special drivers and program to push it to the device (if doing it via the otg port) Similar to the RUU for winmo.
The file extension is IUS - I have the files for the 2.1 update and 2.2 and uide if anyone is interested?
Plus Ill post back if I get market working.
Gurry
I've been trying to update a disgo (hwver=12.2.0.5) to froyo but have no idea which of the ius files are safe to flash , i did flash disgo_12.2.0.5.1.4.ius but it seems to be exactly the same as i had already
noticed these are down to £70 on play at the moment has anyone had any more luck with theirs?

No "official" 2.2 Froyo, however some newly purchased tablets are pre-loaded with 2.2 but it seems to have issues. Others, as noted above, have manually updated using the Sylvania files which seems to be the same as Disgo is doing causing issues.

No "official" update to 2.2 Froyo however some newly purchased devices have 2.2 pre-loaded
Can update manually using InfoTM Update Wrap tools - USB Link to OTG or Boot Disk on micro SD
No "Recovery", can do a Factory Reset which may or may not work
No ROM Manager support
No Clockwork Recovery Image
No Custom ROM
No CM7 "CyanogenMod" support
Extremely small development community compared to other InfoTM powered tablets
BUSYBOX is installed but some updates can brick the tablet
Support community exists since mid November 2010, several Novice support groups (Facebook page, YAHOO Group)
No "official" Android Market, however can be installed but NO paid applications
No "official" Google Experience except Gmail, however can be installed
No FLASH 10.1 or any other version even with pretty please.
Netfix - can't work/works
WiFi is flaky on some devices, limiting range, unable to scan, causing woes, problem and slowdown.
Battery - wide range of results depending on version, applications, tweaks, WiFi use
Memory - sometimes reported as zero requiring Factory Reset, which may or may not work
eBook reader requires micro SD
Downloads requires micro SD
Some SD cards are not recognized, reported as damaged
mini HDMI works but must follow instructions to initiate communication
Digital Gadgets instructional videos on YouTube, website FAQ
my_Disgo support reported as challenging, Twitter feed, expected update "start of July!"
Design Quality / Durability
No replacement for touch Screen/glass which can be broken by: playing Angry Birds forcefully, sitting on it, repeatedly dropping from fairly low heights onto hard surfaces, or even tripping on the power cord flinging the tablet to the floor/wall.
Mini Tablet Accessory Kit from Digital Gadgets exists that includes screen protectors, silicon cases, stylus and case stand.

Hi all, know this thread has been quiet from quite a long time but.... I have exactly the same problem as choppah When you switch it on it sticks at the
" Disgo tablet 6000RL
Finger touch
Stylus Free"
Boot screen
I have been given the tablet to try and "fix".... I have tried the 3 finger boot to recovery however i then get "Getting recovery Image" "No recovery image found, try recover from SD."
As you may be aware the usb's on the sides are both HOST apparently the one nearest the HDMI port is the OTG port but when i try and connect it to my pc neither device recognises the other. I read somewhere that you needed to press both the power and menu buttons and i did that to no avail.....
I would love to just get the thing working optimally by installing a Stock ROM, from all my searching i believe that there is no stock for this device but have also found it may be possible to install a sylvania rom. As i have never had this tablet boot up and i have not got any box\instructions, plus there is no serial number on the back only model etc i have no idea which sylvania rom would be safe to install and if this could be done by sdcard at all?
Any and all help/advice welcome
Hi All,
I have managed to get a little further with this.... But only a little. Using Techvendetta's newsd.img i have managed to get to a point where the tablet will load images from the sdcard! Thats about it though. I am still stuck at the inital Disgo screen as i dont know enough about how the boot actually works... i am unsure how i can sort this issue. Is this an actual hardware failure? I suspect not as the recovery appears towork using the newsd.img. At least it appears to write the correct data. I cannot as i have stated beofre get otg working.
If anybody reads this... please help if possible....

Motorola Solutions TC55

Hello,
I have a TC55 from Motorola Solutions (i.e. the enterprise division that does not belong to Google). It is a rugged phone with a big battery (4400 mAh), but certainly not the sleekest design. Not sure if there is much interest in this kind of device, and I am certainly no developer - but in case anyone is investigating the TC55, here are two things I found so far:
It does not come with any Google apps: no Maps, no Gmail, no Play store and so on.
It is easily rooted with Framaroot using the Gandalf exploit.
(I cannot post this info into the Framaroot thread due to my low post count).
Anyway, maybe this helps someone. I will be happy to try to answer any questions about the TC55, but keep in mind I am no pro and I am not keen in messing around in its internals much more than I have done already.

I heard my company is planning to go with these soon for entry level supervisors such as myself. I'm trying to figure out exactly what it is. All the specs and brochures from Motorola keep calling it a mobile computer in a smartphone "form factor" but never actually call it a phone. I didn't see anything in any of the specs to lead me to believe for sure that it was a phone or if it was just an Android computer in a smartphone form factor.
Anyway, I just wanted to confirm, that, you're certain this is a phone, correct?
Thanks.

Yes, definitely. You can call and get called, and you can send and receive SMS. It also supports wired headsets, and it is supposed to work with Bluetooth headsets, though I do not have any to test.

Thanks for the info but it looks like mine is going to be crippled.
Sort of a let-down really. Yes, it "can" be a phone. Or without a sim card it can be a really powerful Android based mobile computer. That's what it is going to be for most of us. Only a few supervisors with area management approval are going to get units with the phone features working. Still cool. Just not as cool as I'd thought it was going to be.

I see, sorry to hear that. It sounds weird to me to do that, but then again I have no clue about this type of work.
Maybe the crippling could be worked around or undone by people with good Android knowledge - but I suppose it might not be the best idea to go against company policy.

I don't think they're doing anything all that special to cripple it. They just won't all have sim cards or a cell plan. Pretty much as simple as that.
I won't be doing anything to circumvent that though or rooting it or anything like that. It's not like it's a gift and it belongs to me or anything. After almost 22 years, I've kind of grown to like my job and getting a paycheck every two weeks.I'd kind of like to keep it for another 15 or 20 years. Who knows, maybe my manager will decide that I need cell service with mine.
I work for a large automaker in the U.S. We have over 2.8 million square feet under roof. Personally, I can be anywhere on in the plant, on the roof, in pits & sub-basements underneath or anywhere on or near the 50 acre plant site at any given time. A lot of what I need to do on a daily basis is through our intranet portal. They're putting in something like 500 new wi-fi repeaters/extenders all around the plant as well. They're purchasing these for over 300 first line supervisors at my site alone. I'm pretty sure they're doing this corporate-wide so I hate to think what they're spending on these things as a corporation. I'm sure it would bankrupt many small nations! In addition to giving us portal access away from the desk, these are meant to replace our aging industrial radio system. As expensive as these are, they're still much cheaper than $1.5 to $2k per person for a radio that has no other built-in functionality and these do seem pretty ruggedized.
Still a shame about the phone functionality though.

FYI, in case anyone's wondering, there is a version with Google apps on the way (if it isn't already orderable).

google account
Hi,
I got stucked with trying to get google calendars from my google account to TC55.
I found one solution to setup google account as a corporate one, but it's not available anymore due to change in google policy.
I can setup google mail via email account, but that doesn't bring me my calendars to the device.
I tried to install gapps but without success.
Is there any other way?
Thanks.

No idea, I haven't tried. As far as I understand gapps are usually installed via flashing a zip from recovery, and the stock recovery of the TC55 does not have that option, it only allows reflashing a whole image, if I understand it correctly. Either way, I have come to appreciate the open source alternatives and do not want to get Google on my phone, so I will not try, sorry.
However, going by this thread over at the Motorola support forum, it seems it won't take long until there is official gapps support:
https://developer.motorolasolutions.com/thread/4989
Motorola has now released a TC55-firmware with Google apps. Here are the release notes:
https://atgsupportcentral.motorolasolutions.com/content/emb/docs/ReleaseNotes/Release%20Notes%20-%20%20TC55_RevAPlus_GMS_01%2074G_v10.htm
According to the support email they sent me, to get the actual release you need to perform the following arcane ritual:
Resolution Type is : Software Download
Resolution Id is  : 95562

Hi Elanguescence,
I think I screwed up my tc55 by enabling the multiuser function without first creating the white list. Now all the users (with admin rights) does not have access to all the programs, including Applock Administrator and Multiuser administrator.
To cut things short, do you know of a way to reset the device? I don't mind setting it to factory default and start over. I've googled it and some said to launch Rapid Deployment and scan a barcode from there... but my Rapid Deployment just says "Service Not Ready, Please Wait" and get stuck there.
Any help appreciated. Thank you.
Any TC55 users here? Should be getting my unit w/ GMS soon... How do you guys like it?
Is the bootloader locked?

Hey!
I want to Buy one TC55 for me. Normally i hate Android and the Google stuff on the Phone but some Motorola Salesman told me there is a version with out.
Now i use an Sybian Device. That mean i am "offline" the hole time and when i need Internet the Phone connect the the Internet.
So how about that phone can i work "offline" to?
I will also use an VPN Tunnel to block on my backend all Connnection i dont want. Does all Data trough this VPN Tunnel ?
How about the Barcode Scanning does it work good?
I know for 2D i need to use the Cam but how works it when i am in some other Application?
Nobody?
Ok. I just bought a TC55 from a Friend and I was wondering if someone would post the update to get GSM and the Factory Reset packages. I went to the page and it requires all the information posted above before. Mine is rooted, but i am trying to install GAPS but the recovery is the basic and cannot. I manually installed Google Play and the Google Play Services but Google Play services keep crashing and the Play Store will not connect, any ideas ?
the are 2 versions one with google s... service and the other without.
So i belive you have the first?
(Can i ask you some question about that phone?)

MESUIT i6P iPhone Case [Runs Android]

Hello there,
I just received my Mesuit i6P case from China and am keen to do a bit of fiddling with it!
I've had a few problems getting it setup so far and while things are heading in the right direction - the whole case seems a bit quirky so far. I suspect there is likely firmware updates out there since the UI for some folks looks newer than it does for me but I haven't been able to figure that out yet and not being able to read Chinese isn't helping!
I have managed to finally make some meaningful progress on this:
- Version 1.0.1 automatically installed eventually - this fixed the issue of the case only being able to be used once before not working again on iOS10. The workaround for this is to go to Settings -> Reset -> Reset Location & Privacy on the iPhone. This also resets the associated USB devices. Once you have done this, reconnect the case physically and you should see all of the prompts to accept again. Once done, the case will work again. You may need to do this multiple times before the case downloads version 1.0.1 of its firmware. Once that's done - your case will work perfectly from then on without this reset nonsense.
- I finally managed to root the device by enabling Developer Options menu, going to Settings -> Developer Options -> OEM Unlocking and enable that. Then download iRoot from: http://www.iroot.com/download/irootm on your android device. Once that is downloaded, it may offer an update, if so - accept! Once that's done, select "Root" or whatever the option says and wait a while (about 3mins or so.) This should successfully root the device. I did try this with various other apps but *all* of them failed. Only iRoot finally succeeded. (yay!!)
- Next up... Play Store. I'll follow-up on this once I have got this installed properly.
To follow up on this - I have found a couple of things out:
- Strangely - while I wasn't able to *force* an Android update, one happened in the form of Mesuit OS 1.0.1. Once this was completed - my issues with iOS 10 and the Mesuit case were resolved. Woop!
- I am trying to root the device now and have so far tried:
- Kingo Root
- "New" King Root
So far neither of these methods have worked but since the case is running Android 5.1 I can't see it being massively difficult to root it. That having been said - I may well be wrong!
I'll provide further updates on any progress I make with this thing!
Update: It turns out that I'm going to need to find a way to unlock the bootloader in order to root this thing... hm... this is getting trickier. I figured that would be unlocked from stock on a device like this - guess not. Really not too sure how to proceed but I'll keep fiddling and see if I find anything else out.

Hi there!
I had the same problem and the service I used in the end was Tiptrans at http://www.tiptrans.com/
I have them do two things:
1.) Assisted Purchase - I told them what item I wanted and the spec I wanted and they actually made the purchase for me. This was great since I don't read nor speak Chinese. I paid the equivalent value in USD and that was that! This did cost $5 for the purchase - you can make it yourself if you can find a way but for that amount of money it wasn't worth the hassle for me.
2.) I had them ship the item directly to me in the UK using "Sweden Post" which was the cheapest option since I wasn't in a rush. It took a couple of weeks to arrive (though faster methods are available if you want to pay the additional cost.)
All in all I'm very happy with their service - there may be other similar services out there but this seemed to be the most cost efficient and helpful (certainly in terms of them making the actual purchase on my behalf - very cool!)
Hope that helps!
Mesuit
Yeah the tiptrans website is cool but the only problem is that I am unable to use my credit card it's only asking me to pay through PayPal

You can guest checkout on PayPal using your credit card. Shouldn't be a problem.
Frankly I'd rather give PayPal my card details than an China based company anyway - far more secure.
Hey chrisaw
How is the case and any updates?
Were you able to root that thing?
Is it having any heating issues ?
Is it having any issues with the sim card?
Are you able to use the SIM in the case to turn on data and use it for your iOS?
How are the speakers are they better than the ones on the iPhone or worse?
How much time does it take to charge the case and the phone combined?
How much battery life is being added to your phone after u put on the case ?
Is the phone too bulky after you add the case I mean is it bulkier than iPhone 4 or 3g?
And I am sorry for asking too many questions and irritating you, its because I am super anxious

The case is great and the only update is 1.0.1
I have *just* been able to root it a few minutes ago! Post to follow how I did it in a couple of mins.
No overheating issues
No issues at all with my SIM Card (Vodafone UK)
You are able to use the SIM in the case to turn on data but *not* to use it for your iPhone as well. What I would recommend here is to instead use the SIM card in either device and enable internet tethering between the two. Personally I have two SIMs anyway so it's a non issue for me.
The case takes a couple of hours to charge with the phone too. Not long at all - I don't really notice the difference.
You can just about double the phone battery on an iPhone 6 Plus I think. Not too sure - haven't looked in to it much as I'm not too concerned about that personally.
The phone is a little bulkier than stock (of course) At it's thickiest point it's about the same thickness as the iPhone itself. In all honesty though while it's not the prettiest case - it is very cool, turns a lot of heads (in the right way) and all in all it's a great device!
Hope this answers some of your questions.

Hey chrisaw
I know this is too much to ask but if possible would post an how to root mesuit through photo steps( i.e steps which include photos )
Hey chrisaw I know this is a lame idea but just give it a try
There's is an app named share it right, it can be transferred to an android phone to android phone through Bluetooth then you can send any app from your android device to another android device
Hello I was able to install gapps sucessfully on my mesuit i6p case and here is how :
1- First , mesuit case is a Mediatek basedhardware model MT6753 . It require a specific low level flash tools that you can find here with tutorials :
http://spflashtool.com/
To be able to flash the device you need a file called MT6753_Android_scatter.txt that contained all the partitions detail to flash correctly the system.img, boot.img, recovery ...
2- hopefully someone upload mesuit i6 room and his MT6753_Android_scatter.txt (wich is the same than i6p)
here http://www.needrom.com/download/haima-mesuit-i6/
3- you are now with this file able to backup you hole device , Do it. ( you will see on flash software tutorial that you do that, the phone power off)
4- once you backup system.img on your computer you are able to open it with a mounting ext4 read & write software (NB: if you unpack/repack you can't change the partition size !!! its important for reflashing on the device with the exact same size) . To open the partition I used Ex2fs https://sourceforge.net/projects/ext2fsd/ + OSF Mount http://www.osforensics.com/tools/mount-disk-images.html
5 - now you can read you system partition on Windows in read & write ! you can just drag and drop all gapps needed (arm64 , android 5.1 -> http://opengapps.org/) : the "core" folder of the zip is enough
6 - flash the device with your updated system.img
Tadaa ....full Gapps case ! (remember also to install google play services app ,and google app after configuring your google account if you choose the pico gapps )
NB - you can also update your boot.img to enable wireless adb (was not able to have usb adb enabled, don't know yet why) by adding on the ramdisk sector some properties on the default.prop file explained here more or less : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2335799
chrisaw can you help me please
I have a mesuit i6p could you give me a step by step guide to rooting it and installing gapps
TIA
Andi
Access from any Android 5.0+ to Iphone without mesuit
Greetings,
I would like to know, it's possible access to iPhone without this mesuit case with any Android 5.0+ and USB host.
I extracted system.img and I didn't find apk or libs for connection with iPhone mesuit app. Debugging iPhone app is not possible for listening ports from mesuit app.
I cannot flash Mesuit ROM to another device, because it's specific for MTK6753 (https://www.needrom.com/download/haima-mesuit-i6/)

Help: Is a New Cubot X6 image available? System is compromised!

Hello!
I would like to ask for help installing either a new Cubot X6 Android or a linux based system. Until recently I wasn't aware of what kind of aggressive trojans for Android happen to compromise a phone to a degree where the solution is to buy a new one. I do not want to accept that. Therefor I am here to ask for help.
WLAN enabled - the phone runs nutts. It causes unknown apps to be installed, ruining the function of the phone completely. I bought it via ebay, a used Cubot X6. I had the device years ago until i sat on it which happened to break the display, but I liked it and bought it again, used. (The used one cost 60 bucks, a replace-display would have cost 35, so I ran with the used one - big mistake as it turned out).
Now, it's root-system is compromised. I set it to only allow apps from trusted sources. I did not download any apps beside well known trust-worthy ones, like google-maps, WhatsApp, all together.
When I first enabled WLAN, it suddenly started to display a message of the shutting down of "org.rain.ball.update" and also "ssCleaner ("suc", "chengele") is trying to obtain your current position", "ymm" cancelled, and several others. If I allow WLAN it automatically downloads 10-20 apps, some of which correlate with my laptop visited websites (alibaba), others apps from sites I have never visited ("sexy videos"). Basically the phone gets so busy that it needs to be restarted to allow any control of the phone.
I tried to fix it with Avaast, Avira, and Malewarebytes without success. With Avaast it also displays: "/storage/sdcard0/.androidsdata/is.jar", but is unable to fix it. I guess I would have to erase the SD-Card too, if I were to have the system replaced, once. None of the above things can be fixed with the tools at hand. The deletions are always interrupted, nothing gets improved permanently.
I immediately did a "Reset to factory condition", but when I enabled WLAN I didn't even install an app - it all started again, as described above.
So, a quick Google-Research turned out, there are trojan-horses, that cover themselves by pretending to be system applications, so that it would be nearly impossible to get rid of the trojan - only solution: buy a new one (See this article wwwDOTblog.lookout.com/blog/2015/11/04/trojanized-adware/).
Now, while I have a broken device and a trojan device, one solution would be to mount the display of the compromised one onto the broken one. I know it's easy to break the display during this. That's why I am here to ask, if someone might have suggestions of what else could be done to have this fixed?
Maybe it would be possible to get an uncompromised mirror-image of a Cubot X6 from the internet that would replace every data on mine? Would it fix it, if I were to install this: "Ubuntu Touch - Version 15.04 Phone"?
Any help would be appreciated. If I were to take a wild guess, I'ld say the trojan horses might have been developed by Apple...... So what am I to do now? Buy a new one?
EDIT: If you were to not believe this to be true, I could shoot a video of it with my laptop. It's really strange, but it is as it is. EDIT 2: Avaast displays a message, the phone has been rooted.
Please help!! Thank you so much!!
You won't get the virus to YOUR phone from replying ...
Am I here at the right forum for this technical problem?
Thanks
Do a search for your rom and instructions on how to flash. It will replace system partition and problem should then be gone.

A google search for "cubot x6 firmware" will give you some good results.
Here's also Cubot forums, with link to downloads.
Hope that will help, and be sure to read up on the subject on how to flash before you start
So many Thanks! You linked me to the perfect spot! Thank you!
While i will redo my laptop with linux soon, you got experience with having linux on the phone? If i wee to try and mes up, it still were possible to go bac to the original cubot files u linked to, correct?
Thank you!!

official Android 12 ROM released for the Ulefone Power Armor 13 !

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to help spread the word that there is an official Android 12 ROM for Ulefone Power Armor 13.
This was not publicly announced anywhere as far as I know.
Your phone will NOT receive an automatic update for this (at least as far as my experience goes).
The only way to currently upgrade to the ROM is via the SP Flash Tool.
The only reason I know about this ROM is because I just happened to be looking through their website.
Find it here!

Edit:
I should note - if you do a full wipe & flash this ROM, it WILL flash you a new IMEI number
This IMEI number will be the same IMEI number for everyone running this ROM fully wiped.

I keep getting an "incorrect scatter file format" error when attempting to flash using SP. Either I'm doing something wrong or they messed it up.

What SP Flash Tool version are you using?
I flashed with SP Flash Tool v5.2216
Another tip - move the ROM folder inside the SP Flash Tool folder.

Oh gosh you name it. I went thru numerous versions, some antiquated, some supposedly being the latest versions. Definitely used v5.22, probably twice if not more.
Thanks for the tip about moving the ROM folder. I figured the solution might have to do with the placement of the ROM folder or the SP flash tool folder(possibly both on C: drive) but I just kept on getting the same annoying error message. I'm gonna take your advice right now as a matter of fact. Hopefully it'll work for me as I'm assuming it did for you.
Incidentally, you probably know this already...about the wireless update section having the ability to apply updates 'locally' as well. Tried that a couple of times but no go. Just before you replied I was gonna try the old 'update from recovery mode' but I'd rather try your approach.
Here we go(again!)
Ok.... I'm back. What's it been, over 4 hours since my last post? but in truth I can't claim to have been pulling my hair out for that long. Maybe 2 and a half lol.
>Alternate response: Wow. That was not fun. I somehow managed to boink my phone to seemingly do nothing but start in Fastboot mode.
**But wait, let me give credit and thanks where it's due to benhall. That little tidbit of advice that practically Everyone neglected to divulge about putting the ROM folder in the SP flash folder- a crucial step btw- was the key to getting Android 12 on my PA13. So ben, thank you very much. My deadened eyes sparkled when instead of constantly seeing 'stop feeding me this trash', the little balls of processing hope began-a-spinning to indicate that, yes Virginia, put that dang ROM folder in the SP folder. Again, never saw that in any instructions or any god-awful video that some people made to show how it's done, but instead irritate beyond belief because of their insistence of loud techno music as they talk, or babies yelling in the background while - ok I'm stopping. It was stressful to say the least because I knew I was almost there.
ANd to be fair I actually ended up watching (again) that one video that Ulefone condones on YouTube with the silent Asian (?) guy speeds thru the steps using that client sp thingy with the PDF instructions that Ulefone pushes. I tried SP v5.22 and 6.22 for that matter, but they just weren't working for me. Most likely entirely my fault, but I finally went back to square one with what they suggested and I went over that video again and again and finally....it took!
So, Android 12. It's big, had to reduce the display size because everything is Huge. Visually appealing, nice to get an update.
Funny thing is, sorta like benhall, I happened upon Android 12 in Ulefones Google Drive folder(just bored snooping around). But I was like Whoa we got 12¿?¡! Googled for a quick sec, found this thread cause like the man said it hasn't been mentioned or reported about at all it's so new. If you know you know.
Hey man glad I could help!
Yeah I tried that just out of a hunch & it worked for me haha.
Same thing on my end - no tutorials anywhere mention to do that.

I've had mostly Samsung phones before I recently got the Uley. Sammy's are easier to flash with Odin compared to Mediatek's SP tool, all good tho.
Btw I don't know what camera app you prefer using (stock or 3rd party) but for what it's worth after many tries I've settled on SnapCamera version 8.7.8. The stock cam app is ok, still checking out the new goods with A12, but SnapCamera has a ton of flexibility as far as manual camera controls. Panorama resolution sucks compared to stock panorama res but the ton of other abilities makes up for it.

You can use TTSLex to remove the announcement from Google Phone - Call Recording
(it announces to everyone on the phone call that you're recording them when you start recording..)
FIRST -
In Settings > Security > Google Play Protect > Disable google play protect (this makes installing things google doesnt like work better. I've found it doesnt work as good if you have this enabled before beginning these steps)
Steps I used to remove the announcer
1. Open the Google Phone APK inside Google Play - uninstall/downgrade to the stock version of the app.
2. Open Google Phone - Make a phone call (someone has to actually pick up the phone) - record the phone call (it will be announced that the phone call is being recorded)
3. Download TTSLex
4. Set TTSLex as your phone's text to speech.
5. Open the App Info of Google Phone - force stop
6. I forget if this step is correct or not.. - delete storage/cache for Google Phone apk
(if this doesnt work, try again & skip step #6)
7. Update the Google Phone APK before opening it.
8. Make a phone call & record the phone call - enjoy no more announcer <3
Android Auto - Screen2Auto APK for mirroring your screen onto android auto! (movies/tv shows/youtube on car screen)
Steps -
1. Open Android Auto via Google Play store & confirm its downgraded/uninstalled to the stock APK.
2. Download AAAD
GitHub - shmykelsa/AAAD
Contribute to shmykelsa/AAAD development by creating an account on GitHub.
github.com
3. Using AAAD - install Screen2Auto
(they only give you 1 free install per month, ive tested them all on this ROM - Screen2Auto is the best to use.)
4. Update Android Auto & enjoy! <3
Pro tip for Screen2Auto - if you go to Screen2Auto > Other Settings > Alternative touch enabled > Profile 2 (Poco)
This allows you to use the touch screen of your car to control your phone while mirroring your screen.
(pause/play videos from car screen)
I also disable the Screen2Auto > Settings Launcher > S2A Launcher
But you could play with it & enable that if it suits you better than me.
(gives you a launcher page for launching apps from Screen2Auto - customize which apps are shown on the launcher etc..)
Hey all, thank you for the info on Android 12. I'm kind of out of the game with updating, ROMs, and rooting. I've been running stock 11 rooted since I've gotten this phone. I actually backed everything up and tried to update with Android 12 stock rom yesterday. I haven't messed with spflash since I've had my Armor 7. For some reason I cannot get this to work. I'll tried the Linux sp version, but gave up on that quick and grabbed my wife's win notebook. I downloaded all the drivers, latest adb, tried different cords, made sure it's in the same folder but couldn't get it to go. I know it's something very basic but I can't get past the bar on the bottom of spflash being red and then timing out after a minute or 2.
Would someone be kind enough to post an imbecilic like walkthrough for me? I got that itch to mess with it and mediatek is just a pain in the ass. Well hopefully thank you in advance.

They keep their updates on drive so this might get flagged, but here's the link
Non-EU version - Google Drive
drive.google.com
If you go to ulefone's website, go to support, then software downloads, scroll to the power armor 13. The nonEU folder will be in that under the Android 12 folder.

After first watching a few very annoying walk-thru videos on how to flash a Ulefone I eventually went back to the video link they provided and used the SP flash version they advised, and it worked(go figure right?). Granted there's no audio and the guy briskly goes thru it, you just gotta slow that sucker down, hit pause and rewind to fully and correctly grasp what's happening. And as was mentioned above, and I think you got this part, the importance of putting the rom folder in the SP flash folder.
Also make sure you're either using the stock charging/data cable or something very close to it(ie. no cheap stuff). Here's the video Ulefone says to follow and the one that eventually got me to successfully flash Android 12:
