1st install this with cwm
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48165168&postcount=337
but may be you got issue like low sound and
something wired..
so install viper4android fx from here:
http://vipersaudio.com/blog/?page_id=48
and it's driver, activate it and disable DSP
manager and enjoy without any issue.. and
sound enhancement of stock will be work
without problem in cm...
I flashed SONY Walkman as stated. Updated it to latest version using apk file in apps/theme forum at Xperia L. Viper installed as well but SONY Walkman and Viper has no real connect with each other!
MY review about it all :
Sound is sometimes low and sometimes high on its own.
Sound is DISTORTED.
CLEAR AUDIO or any other sony function has no affect.
ROM has started to lag a bit.
NO difference in gain in headset volume.
I would suggest NOT to go through with this unless you have backuped your ROM first with nandroid.
Reflashing CM 11
AND if you miss albums/walkman other sony apps, just install apk but keep in mind the tweaks like clear audio wouldnot work

bro i faced all of issue as you mentioned in post, when i flashed given link walkman and enhancement port...
and i was trying to resolve it... then i install viper4android fx, and it's driver at super quality sound...
and i enable v4a fx and force enable on headset mod...
set parameters in v4a app and disable dsp manager..
then i start walkman and all issues like low audio output, fluctuating of volume level and distorted sound all are solved and working loke stock ...for me is more thn stock...
clear bass also working when it's set at zero it have no bass and if i increasing the bass level also increase means it's working and bass effect is same as stock not like dsp manager...
equalizer and presets all are working ...also surround sound (vpt) working efficiently as works in stock ...
I'm enjoying real sound enhancement of stock sony not only music player in cm11... and i posted if people like to use sound enhancement same as stock... i found it's working for me so i share trick...I'm not developer....
Thanks :good:
it works 100%
Thanks Bro. You are Awesome.. It works 100%. Thank you so much...

Viper4Android FX would be my suggestion...found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191223
I used stock BoomSound to start, then tried the Harman/Kardon mod. Boomsound really washed out the mids, and Harman/Kardon default was really tinny sounding in the highs, to me. I flashed Viper in TWRP, and it's been working great for months. You have a ton of options to tweak the sound however you want, but I'm running mostly stock with just a slight boost to bass. Mostly listen to music in my car, so I probably don't get the full details in the music, but the balance is great...way better than Boomsound, to my ears.
Check out this Anandtech writeup that includes Boomsound analysis: http://www.anandtech.com/show/8078/smartphone-audio-testing-htc-one-m8-and-samsung-galaxy-s5/2
Can't speak to the quality of Project Era or Sound Explosion, so I don't have any comparison opinions. Hope this helps!

I remember "mic fix" and "stereo mod".
arise and root
There are a lot out there..!
Actually there are a lot out there but it depends on you what is required to you for example i wanted better music so i installed viper4Android so for your question there are a lot out there but you need to install only what you need. so here goes my favourite list.
CrossBreeder Lite Edition
CrossBreeder is a set of mods that are used to modify system performance as well as conserve battery life. While the original project required proper /system access, it has now been ported to work with Magisk, and it works exceptionally well. You can use it to reduce the lag, increase your entropy levels, get more juice out of your device and speed up your mobile.
Audio Modification Library
There are a number of sound mods available for rooted Android devices, like the aforementioned Viper4Android, AM3D Zirene and Dolby Atmos . Based upon your liking, you may want to one of them. But what if you like different features of different mods, but installing both mods at the same time would result in a system failure for you? Well, Audio Modification Library is a Magisk module that overcomes Magisk’s limitation of installing multiple audio mods, and does not cause any compatibility issues.
Viper4Android or AM3D Zirene
Viper4Android is by far one of the most feature-rich and advanced music mod out there for Android. It lets you alter almost each and every aspect of your device’s audio capabilities, thus giving you full control. It lets you customize the audio performance of your device’s speaker, Bluetooth speaker, headset or even a dock. The app not only increases the volume of the audio on your device but also improves bass & clarity, thanks to the cool ViPER Clarity and XHiFi technology.
Even though the interface is fairly easy to use, one might get confused with so many choices at their disposal. If so, you could opt with the AM3D sound mod by Zirene, which offers a simple and minimalistic interface, allowing easy tweaking around with the audio profiles for your system.
Dolby Atmos
Lenovo had introduced Dolby’s Atmos Sound technology to their devices a couple of years ago, something that was widely appreciated. The Dolby Atmos Magisk mod brigs the Dolby Atmos audio enhancements to any Android smartphone. The mod offers simple yet efficient sound modifications to the overall audio quality of one’s device. This app, which was earlier exclusive to Lenovo’s ROMs, has now been ported to Magisk, so that it can work systemlessly. You can customize the audio quality of music, movies, games, voice, etc. There are a lot of options here and if you are an audiophile, you will definitely appreciate the features on offer.
Android Mic Fix
Many a times, after flashing a new ROM or firmware, you may experience a loss in the mic quality of your device. The reason behind this is that most of times your build.prop file is tampered with by the developers which causes the aforementioned issue. The Android Mic Fix, as the name suggests, aims to fix this problem with the help of the “resetprop” tool to modify your build.prop file.
Hit thanks if I helped you.

Can you help out in flashing all these??
Link?
I have installed Viper through Magisk and is working flawlessly! I am on RR Remix 8.1.0 by Endless!
Maybe it's late, but I still come with a recommendation--poweramp is the best choice for you.
I 've tried dolby, viperfx, audiofx, ainur, mi sound enhancer and so on, among which viperfx and mi sound enhancer(in miui) are the best ones.
But I have to say that they cause the quality of sound a little bad, and if you don't care much about the details of sound, you can try them.
The reason why I recommend poweramp is that poweramp hardly ever affect the quality of sound even if you set maximum bass and treble.

Yeah that's true but Poweramp is not Oreo friendly for now, it's unstable and the notification controls are useless. It's my favourite music player but it's painful to use in Oreo ROMs.
Miui + Ainur + Dirac sound best to me.
Where can I download dirac sound?
OH ye, dirac is in miui included. Od course. Best for us. Download links. Extra for Miui and for Oreo roms (stock). Please.

System wide parametric EQ

Hi, i am looking for system wide parametric EQ for android that also works on built in speaker mode. I do have root access on my device and i already tried Viper4Android and JamesDSP but Viper4Android does not have parametric EQ and even it has convolution EQ as far as i know, i does not seems to be available in built in speaker mode. JamesDSP on the other hand, does not have parametric EQ either and even if it had, when i turn on JamesDSP on my device, it makes audio crack and stutter. I do have AudioModificationLibrary already installed on Magisk. I also tried Poweramp Equalizer on Google Play Store but it limits gain values to max 15dB which is not enough for me at least while equalizing my built in speaker. I could not find any solution yet on internet. Any help is appreciated!
bump. I'd like to know too.
