Hello,
Yesterday I tried the Background Video Recorder 2 app (ex Secret Video Recorder 2 but Google removed it from the store, they are same) which resulted in a huuuugeee frustration. My phone is Sony Xperia Z3 Compact. I stored the videos on an external SD. When I got home to copy videos to my PC I saw that the app saved videos as date-clock.mp4.renamed so they are not video files. I removed the ".renamed" part and over the 50 videos only 2 of them worked (sort of- too much buggy) and the other files cannot be opened by any player (for example, Gom Player showed "Find Codec" error screen).
Can I fix those videos?
Thank you.

Hiya guys,
I've got two folders on my SD Card, called "Films" and "TV Shows". I'd like to keep each of the videos from each folders separate. Is there a video playing app that will let me do this?
The app I'm using at the moment is called Video Player, it just displays all of the videos in one big list - not telling me which folder each of the videos is in. I've tried a few more (Realplayer, doubleTwist), but they don't do it !
Ta very much,
Alex

Cheers, I'll look into it now! If that fails I've found one called Act 1 Video Player !
I have purchased an ePad 2.2 android tablet for my nephew. I've successfully loaded songs and music videos from my iTunes account to a micro sd card. I have been able to play them on the tablet with no issues. I also downloaded a couple of movies but I've been unable to get the movies to play. The odd thing is the file formats for the music videos are the same as the movies, (.m4v). Yet the music videos play and the movies do. I didn't convert any files to different formats. I'm only using the "My Video" app that came installed on the tablet to play the music videos. Yet the "My Video" app won't play the movies. I'm guessing it's because the movies have an index whereas the music videos are just plain videos. Also, to get my iTunes files from iTunes to the 16 gb micro sd card I simply did a drap and drop in folders I created called music, music videos and movies.
I've searched all day and have found nothing to help. Does anyone have any clue how I can get the movies to play? Is there an app I can download? I don't have access to download thru the Android Market. I've been using Amazon.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! U can email me at [email protected]. Hopefully I've included enough info to be helpful. Please ask questions if I haven't.
Thanks so much,
Dgj
The standard video app is rubbish but most video players like mx video player for example will play your files. Just try a few free ones and see what you prefer, you may find some at getjar.com which gives you free apps and is a respected site so you will find a lot of market apps free there.

play itunes videos on Android tablet
itunes videos are drm protected, you have to get a DRmare M4V Converter to help you remove DRM. check this: macobserver.com/weekly-sponsorship/sponsor-drmare/
Hi guys,
I have a problem with my SONY Z5 Compact on Android 6.0 (stock rom from Sony).
After a certain boot time (I don't know the "real" time), videos can't be played. I've tried video on Youtube, Facebook, Dailymotion (an app like Youtube for a different website), and video cannot be loaded or played.
If I reboot my phone, videos are playable for a while, then the bug is coming back again, and I have to reboot again to be able to play video.
The issue isn't here on Chrome or on the stock Video app (to watch video stored on my memory card) or using YT player small app (a pop-up player, but I prefer the official YT app).
My phone is rooted (SuperSU) and running Xposed.
I've tried to wipe Dalvik using TWRP, but it fixed nothing.
Do you guys have any idea to fix this problem?
Thanks.
Video on the 9gag app aren't working too
Bump
Thanks

Hello all. I bought the S6 for my daughter, and she is having an issue with getting a video uploaded to Instagram. The video in question was taken by my wife and uploaded to her Google Drive. At this point, my daughter downloaded the video from Google Drive, and then, she tried to share it. She keeps getting a message that it can't be imported and that there is a problem processing the video. If I use My Files, I can find and directly play the video using Google Photos to do so (Google Photos is the only option provided to me to play the video). However, it's not found by the Gallery and Video apps. My wife sent her the video via Instagram (private message?) also, and that video works and shows up just fine. I will note that the video she sent via Instagram is an edited .mp4 file and the original from Google Drive is a .mov file. Can Samsung Video and Gallery apps not read .mov files? If they can, does anyone know why they won't show up on the phone or be uploaded via Instagram? Thanks in advance.
Hi everyone,
sometime I use MX Player free to play styled subs files on my AndroidTV without issues, but recently I've played - through some days - an UHD movie and now it won't read THAT external HD folder structure anymore (it stucks on the UHD file folder).
Is there anything I can do ?
