[Completed] Sound Notifications in XDA Premium - XDA Assist

Can anyone tell me how to turn off the sound on notifications for XDA Premium?
I am running it on HTC One Mini 2 with cm-NostromoPop-v2.0.9-memul-20150801-1140 Lollipop (based on CM12.1) ROM.
I don't think I had sound on previous versions of this ROM but can't be sure.
I cannot find any settings for this and it plays a different sound to my default notifications sound.
I still want notifications to appear on my phone and hence on my Android Wear watch but don't want the sound as it goes off when I'm asleep but I want to keep other notifications on for important messages.
TIA

Hello, and thank you for using XDA Assist!
I haven't used XDA app in a while, but this guide should provide a good starting point (with room for questions):

Hope this helps, and good luck!

[APP][2.2+] flashME - never miss a phone call or text again

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=lovetere.flashme
flashME will be your light notification in your Android phone.
The flashlight embedded in your device will promptly blink as your phone is ringing, or a new text has been received. Moreover, you can set/unset the flashlight blinking for each different notification event (Facebook or Twitter update, calendar alert, any other apps events). You can decide to have your light notification only when your cell phone is upside down, and the light will continue blinking till you get the notification.
This app is greatly helpful for people with hearing disabilities.
Some features may require the full version.
The app was tested on:
- Samsung Galaxy Nexus,
- Samsung Galaxy Note,
- Samsung Galaxy S2*,
- Samsung Galaxy S3*,
- Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1,
- Sony Xperia miro.
We are aware that flashME could not properly work with some device configurations. This is not a bug, and the issue could be fixed after a custom device configuration. Please contact the developer for any feedback and any further comments.
(*) If you buy the full version with Jelly Bean 4.1.2 the following procedure is required to fix a problem with TalkBack: go to Settings -> Application manager -> All - Disable Google TTS (text to speech) - Disable Samsung TTS (text to speech).

Released v.1.0.3.2
Fixed a problem with in-app purchase
Good app, was going to make one w/ Tasker but found this. (donated via in app purchase) one suggestion though... Would like to see an option to set hibernation times. Don't need my flashlight going off all night.
Good app though! I will use the orientation setting though till I see hibernation option. Thanks
Edit: you can add that your app has been tested and works on the HTC EVO 4G LTE running CM 10.1 toasted deck build from IRC 2.15.13 (4.2.2). (i.e. Works and does what it's supposed to do)

The notification feature of flashME works on my Galaxy SII, but I seem to have one problem. After I give the application permissions under accessibility, voice notifications turn on automatically, telling me things like "folder open", "menu one of three" and so on.
Is there a way to turn this feature off while flashME is running?

[Q] Some handy features?

I own a Nexus 5 since three days now. I have rooted it (thanks to chainfire-autoroot) and flashed Custom Recovery (thanks to Wugfresh).
It's a great device, but coming from CM7, I miss some features and I am a little reluctant to flash a custom ROM already...
- After attaching a wired headset, music player does not start automatically.
- Volume rockers do not skip track in music player when phone is locked.
- Unable to set increasing ringing volume.
Maybe I overlooked some things, but maybe someone can point me in the right direction?
Xposed module with Gravity box will do the trick for you. There are a lot of other customization that you could do as well
Thanks! Applied some handy tweaks. I found a module to turn off increasing ringtone, does mean that increasing ringtone is a standard feature of the Nexus? I haven't tested it yet...

Modules are not device specific. Just because a module appears to allow you to turn off something, doesn't mean its on in the first place

[Completed] Disabling AcDisplay's permanent notifications.

Hello XDA Assist.
Is there any way to remove the permanent notifications that show up in your notification bar when using AcDisplay ?-
*AcDisplay - active mode (Touch to launch settings)
AcDisplay - lockscreen (Touch to launch its settings)*
I went through the settings and I didn't find anything.
Thank you!

Hi there,
from my own understanding, you can't, just like you can't turn off the permanent ones in the normal notification area.
If you look at the active display specific thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2450697
Also check the app thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2641557 as pointed out by @philos64
The question may have been asked, do have a search. If not feel free to ask it yourself
I don't use this app, but have you tried to contact the dev via play Store=> Dev AcDisplay
And this link via xda Android Development and Hacking > Android Apps and Games > [APP][4.3+] AcDisplay | v2.3.1 | 20.05.2014
Sure. Thanks!

[Completed] Kitkat, stock, sound recorder app hiding

Motox Dev. Stock 4.4.3
On the all apps tab i can see one native app called sound recorder, version 4.4.3-23.
Yet it is nowhere to be found. It's not disabled. Already tried the stock and an alternative home screen app.
Also tried to add a activity shortcut on hone screen to see if it appeared on the list. Nothing.
Where is it?

Have you tried to see on settings => Applications
Normally you will find all of your apps into your device.
If you need more technical infos go to Moto X Q&A
That's exactly my point.
I can see the stock rom sound recorder app in settings-applications-all.
But nowhere else!
Sent from my XT1053 using XDA Free mobile app
There is no sound recorder stand alone app. The sound recorder app they see in settings, apps, all....is just a sub-app of Google, for Google now and whatnot.
Its the same on moto x and N5.
