Hey everyone .
Is someone tried to get communication with adb in windows 10 ?
I guess not |:
Do you have a drivers issue?
I upgraded from working 8.1 and adb/fastboot worked "out of the box".
This fix with the registry entry worked for me in Windows 10: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-s/general/guide-fix-fastboot-windows-8-1-t2858337
For the first time the drivers didnt worked, and later windows 10 started to give me blue screens that eventually make me to get back to windows 7 , but if u r sayin that it works for u maybe ill try it again in the future ..

Hey, I need some help plz.
When I am trying to use the adb command with push/pull/install agruments Windows crash.
I installed the usb drivers and the USB debuging option is enabled in the G1.
I tried it on 2 diferent machines (Win XP and Win2k3).
Does anyone know why it happen and how can I fix this?
btw how can I make my linux box (Fedora 8) recognize the G1 in order to use the adb command from my linux machine?
I don't know what's causing your issue, but recently someone here (the person who made the x64 adb drivers, thanks by the way) posted a copy of adb.exe that was "fixed" for people who were having trouble with it crashing. I don't know if it'll help but give it a try and tell us the results.

10x alot
10x alot i will try this and update u
I think I have and idea what can cause this issue.
I tried again to use adb but this time on brand new Win Xp with SP3 and it worked just fine.
earlier I tried it on Win Xp with SP2 and Win2k3 maybe there is something in SP3 that adb need in order to run.
I used to have this working at the beginning of the month, using RUU 2.01 + WMDC 6.1 x64 Driver.
All of sudden it does not work anymore.
Tried all other RUU versions (2.03, 3.xx), no help.
Anyone with good luck please give me some hint!
Thanks a lot!
i had issues with digital signed drivers even if i turned digital signature check off during boot and so i chose a different path for flashin my phone. i installed VMware workstation. Its a program that creates a virtual machine withing windows within which u can install XP. So basically i have XP running within Vista through a virtual machine. another suggestion is dual boot vista and XP. search in google on how to do this and you will find instrucations. good luck.
Read this Guide : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=428469
though its for another device, but the steps are same for all the devices
Enjoy
It looks like they added some signed usb drivers for 64bit vista in git. Get the files here:

Anyone have Vista 64bit and want to try them out, and report back? Hopefully this will let you use the drivers without being in test mode, like you had to be with the ones that aziwoqpd had compiled.
Driver installs with no problems on my Vista 64 machine, but adb and fastboot give a device not found error :/
That error is the same as using an unsigned one in normal Windows bootup. I'll test it now and post back.
Btw: Here's an unsigned drivers workaround.

Edit:
Driver works perfectly. Windows 7 x64.
Crapped my pants at first though. Got a bsod while installing it. Lol.
Just the regular overclock bsod though, so it should go on fine for you guys.

Ah, cool. thanks for posting that workaround. I hadn't seen anything like that. I had only briefly looked into it before, but didn't see anyway to run unsigned drivers without going into test mode. (I don't use vista, so I wasn't that motivated to find a way )
Yea I get device not found on both unsigned and signed. But I also have a linux box to play with anyways.
look at all this old stuff.
Works 100% on 2 different vista 64 bit systems. Didn't make my video crash my machine on the one that usually does. So Kudos to the guy that made these! Tried & tested! ADB work'n. Might want to put this as a main thread or stickie for all those using vista 64bit or windows 7 64bit. Just a suggestion
Will this work with Haykuro's modified SPL?
hi
I was suffering from the adb problems these days. I had installed the drivers ok and adb worked well once. But later, when I plug off my ADP1 and replug in, windows can recognize hardware installed, but "adb devices" list empty.
I tried reinstall all kinds of versions driver, but it still doesn't.
even with the new sdk1.5 driver.
I tried it in another computer, initially, it works fine.
But later, without any changes, it doesn't work. It's really confusing. This time even worse. When I tried to reinstall ADB COMPOSITE DRIVER, windows can not install it properly.
It seems many people have these problem when I googled it. But no solution works for me.
I am using windows xp32 sp3 and adp1.
I tried drive from sdk1.0 r1 r2 1.1r1 1.5pre.
I also tried converting androidusb.inf into DOS format.(some post said that), still doesnt work.
however, it works in my ubuntu 8.10 well.
I hope someone can help me
Thanks!!!
hi sorry but im not gonna post a solution cuz im having the same prob with XP. With Vista on my laptop, it works fine (not always that XP better than Vista)
Are you opening up command prompt/dos window as Administrator... and in Vista and Win 7 you have to make sure Digital Driver Signing is disabled at boot by hitting the F8 key directly after you select Windows OS Menu and then scrolling down and selecting the option in Advanced Boot menu.
i'm having the same problems in vista but hitting f8 doesnt do anything for me.
So, A few months ago I downloaded and installed the developers preview of windows 8. I liked it a lot and backed up my windows 7 hd, wiped and fully installed windows 8.
Well, I bought the HTC One S yesterday. Amazing phone.
My problem, I can't root my phone because while installing the htc drivers it comes up with "~ doesn't recognize this OS" or something like that. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Tom
Maybe you should revert back to windows 7 then if the drivers wont install, Its pretty much impossible to anything without drivers

I figured that was the easiest solution HOWEVER I really dont want to spend 3 hours of work (Backup windows 8, delete, repart, load and install windows 7, root phone, delete, repart, load and install windows 8) for something that takes less than half an hour to do.
If anyone has any nice work arounds i'd really, really appreciate it!
What about installing some kind of virtual machine and Win7 or even XP on it?
can't you find any kind of driver that will install on WIN8?

I would try installing the Windows XP mode (virtual machine) if Windows 8 lets you, as mentioned above.. or perhaps download TinyXP and install as dual boot. maybe even a live install to a bootable usb drive.. although I've never been able to get that method to work well.
Or! I'll sell you my HP TC1100 already set up for HTC & Samsung phone modding!
