NFC help - Onetouch Idol 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Having an issue where the Idol 3 won't power on my NFC equipped speaker. The NFC chip in the phone seems to work, I can send links and photos via NFC from another phone, but for some reason the Idol 3 will not power on my speaker. What am I missing?

[Q] Selfi stick

I got a selfistick with a earphone plug and I can not get it to work on my Nexus 4 (5.1.1, LMY47V, rooted)
I tried the stick on a Samsung S4 mini (android 4.4.2) and it works. When I plug it in I get an earphone icon on top of the screen and can take photo's by pushing the button on the stick.
But on my Nexus nothing happens if I plug it in. I tried an earphone and that is working fine, it is switching between speaker and phone.
I used Camera360 and Selfishop Camera.
Do I miss some setting or is the N4 not capable to work with a selfistick with an earplug connection?
Found a sollution after testing several earphone buttons en BT buttons.
Finally found one BT button which works with Selfishop camera. It costs less than € 3,-

faulty mic on the headphone

the mic on the headphone that came with the phone seems to be having loose connection; i need to wiggle the wire near the connector and hold it at certain angle for it to work correctly. this broke in exactly 35 days from purchase.
Opened a support ticket need to see how it goes
same issue
out of the box I can't get the microphone to work.... thought maybe I just couldn't figure out how to use it, but apparently no.
keep me updated please.
I Have the same problem. The microphone and the button to play/pause don't work. The music still hear thou. Other headsets with adapter work fine.
I have had 3 of microphones on the Le Eco Pro 3 headphones stopped working. Le Eco replaced them, but it is just a matter of time for the others to fail.
Got Bluetooth Beats Powerbeats 2 because of issue.
Le Eco claims it is just me; No.

New Car Tablet --> OTG charge + PowerEvent Manager + Extended screen

Hi there,
I just found this awesome tablet as I planned to exchange my Nexus 7 2013 LTE as car device. I bought Timurs Kernel for this and it works awesome. Unfortunately GSM-calls are not possible with the Nexus.
This flaw is gone with the Huawei tablet. It has a better CPU and Memory performance either. LTE Dual-Sim is also awesome.
Is it possible to port the kernel feature OTG + simultaneously charging combined with a PowerEvent Manager which puts the tablet in Deep Sleep Mode if Power drops and wakes it up when power is available again?
I think there is no chance to attach a 2nd screen via wire, isn't it? I also planned to extend the screen to a 5" Display in my upper car dashboard, but it's very hard to find 5" chrome/miracast displays. Perhaps somebody has a solution for this? I already tried to attach a HDMI chromecast to 5" HDMI Raspberry display, but there are big black stripes on the right and left sides so there are scaling issues I cannot influence.
Which steps would be necessary to get this features working?
Thanks for your thoughts.
Greetings
Schwimmbuxx.
No one interested in car media revolution?
From what I have read about the specs on this device, it has no NFC functionality so no wireless charging android pay etc.
Those are features I never use although I can see NFC charging coming in handy if the micro usb slot gets damaged.
I too am looking at buying one of these to replace my Nexus 7 2nd gen (a hard device to replace) and my now 4 year old ascend y550, I pretty much carry them both all the time since the Nexus is the WiFi version I hot spot my phone to it.
I'm sure there are apps and skins that allow you to set power on/off with usb power, designed for exactly what you are doing.

Soyes S10-H and Qube 360 Camera

How do I make them work together?
Whenever I connect the camera it gets identified as a headphone.
Soyes S10-H is a 3.5 inch Android 9 Phone with 3GB Ram and 64GB Rom, No 3.5mm jack, power and volume rockers, and a microUSB jack for charging and connection stuff.
Qube 360 Camera is I guess a knockoff of the Insta360 Air which is a 360 camera that works only when connected to the android phone via the charging port.
The Camera works on my Xiaomi Mi Max 2.
The camera also uses it's own app to detect it; EZ Pano by Eken Electronics Lmtd. on the Google Playstore.
Any insight is appreciated, thanks!

Question Audio output selection (Speaker<->DAC) while USB DAC is plugged ?

Hello guys,
few days ago I was forced to buy a S22 Ultra because my good old Note 9 stopped working and thanks to my S-Pen daily usage i didnt have much other options...
I moved over most of drawbacks of the S22 Ultra but another thing is the lack of 3,5 mm audio jack...
I found out on Aliexpress a very nice adapter that has a "T" shape that allows you to charge phone and simultaneously use the audio jack on the other side. Very convenient!
Hoewer it has a drawback. I cant leave the adapter in phone while i dont have the earphones plugged in. The issue is that phone doesnt detect that earphones are not connected and still plays music in it and sends audio there instead of the speaker. The adapter uses standart REALTEK ALC5686 chip that has Jack detection that should switch the chip to low power mode when jack is not present.... It is possible that this is not connected in my adapter... I am planning to tear the adapter down and study the circuit as the last option....
So my question is, is there any way how to force phone to manually switch audio output from external DAC to Speaker and vice versa? Yes I know we can switch automatic routing to USB DAC off but in that case you cant manually somehow tell the phone when to use it and when not? Do all external DACs work this way? There are app fot this that worked on older Android but not at the version 13.
Thanks!

The problem I see is that the output or charging connection is not valid as a sound input, it is only valid for charging, that's why it does not detect the headphones.
Install smart things app. Then it will show in the task bar "media output".
