First and foremost thanks to @xperiacle for originally porting this version of multiwindow from the NOTE 10.1 JB leak...i'll be the first to admit that i am NOT a dev so basically this a just a hack job to enable the 5 layout mod for the N5100/5110 as well as several other samsung devices.
UPDATE V2: The phablet mode force close has been fixed which was the only real issue...please note that i may need to create a separate version for the N511x so please test and report
U MUST BE USING A DEODEXED ROM TO INSTALL THIS MOD!
TABLET INSTRUCTIONS
1. install busybox
2. download an alternative launcher (i personally use apex)
3. install mode switcher app by @xperiacle & switch to tablet mode (link below...may also need to switch to alternative multiwindow mode)

5. delete "flashbarservice.apk" (system/app) and "com.sec.feature.multiwindow.phone.xml" (system/etc/permissions)
6. reboot and enjoy!
PHABLET INSTRUCTIONS

not sure for u guys but i would try 176/177 and 213 (since thats the default)...yes it SHOULD work with that rom but it will probably kill some of the customizations

I'm assuming you're using alternative mode or u have previously deleted it...if not then don't worry about it because u don't want it there anyway
As far as the notification bar missing u will need to add the line qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 to the bottom of your build prop...I apologize for leaving this out of the instructions and will go edit my post now
After lots of systemui FCs (mainly happened after a new notification is about to appear or disappear, maybe some resources were lost here), I have to roll back to original systemui.apk. I'm using chinese stock no-deodexed rom, the one comes with the device.
After that, something strange happened...
I didn't have a dalvik cache rebuild of clear up after switched back to the systemui.apk and odex of original stock firmware, so the system made some funny changes to the dex file in the cache.
And now I lost the menu soft button on the status bar (the patched systemui.apk provided here did the same. The menu button is still there, but does nothing), but gained resizable docked window, an even better version of multi-window implementation for me. (Before all this, I had to be careful with floating windows, as they were really "floats" and dragged out the docked space and changed to some strange dimensions)
Maybe some code parts of this function (mini-app style launch pad and multiwindow layout manager) was build in Note 8.0's system, but separated in different modules compared to Note 10.1 or II, as I discovered resourses of resizing controls of docked windows resides in flashbarservice.apk. I didn't check the code for it as I'm not a real developer, sorry.
So maybe someone could really make a "organ transplant operation", isolates the core part of mini-app style launch pad and window layout manager from Note 10.1's systemui.apk, and adapt it for use with Note 8.0's "internal organs" as Note 8.0 may already has all the necessary parts for this kind of multiwindow handling.

yeah, the force close issue is weird because i haven't had ANY but to be honest i think the biggest part of the trick is a fresh install with the latest firmware. Before i did that i was having a few issues myself...i know its a pain but it was DEFINITELY worth it so i guess i'm gonna have to suggest that in the op.
as far as that new multiindow mode...that's what i was using before i got the 5 layout functionality working. It's actually based off of the dpi but certain values break the "snap" function...otherwise it's done the same exact way @xperiacle explained in the "another multiwindow mode" and is essentially what his switcher app does (it probably just doesn't set proper dpi to retain the "snap" function...if i had to guess u also have xposed installed). Even better....if u reinstall the flashbar (which i'm assuming u aleady did unlesss you're using shortcuts...u may need to find another numder for dpi so the bar will show) u will notice that now u can do the slide resize as well as have dockable float which is the best version of the "regular" way...ultimately 5 layout is superior in every manner so i won't be going back but yeah i agree it's awesome

Nope, and if so I won't appreciate this
The gray deformed bar under the window in my screenshot is the resize handle, and works like in original Note 8.0 multiwindow split mode. Windows now only resize in horizontal ways, which is just what I need. In original stock multiwindow mode, the divide bar won't display and function in 120 dpi or 160 dpi.
What this mode being different from the "stock mode" is I can have a window occupied *half* of the screen, above a full screen app (something like "miniapps on steroid" ). In stock mode, I have to squeeze two apps in a divided full screen layout, and if any one of them is restored to normal mode, the layout is broken. And I can't superimpose multiwindow enabled app on a non-enabled full screen app.
By deleting com.sec.feature.multiwindow.phone.xml, I have the highly "customizable" floating window mode, like this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2243142
After the dalvik cache "mishap", now I have a docked window superimposed on any normal apps
4.2.2 compatable?

On 4.2.2 it works with default flashbar as a launcher of resizable windows.
In system/etc/permission rename or delete "com.sec.feature.multiwindow.phone.xml"
replace with "com.sec.feature.multiwindow.tablet.xml"
You will get normal flashbar on side, but every app you swype from it launches "windowed" with option to maximize, minimize, close..resize by taking window on corners.
There is no option to minimize from fulscreen - maybe experiacle should look into the code what is missing.
When you minimize, just a "big icon" if the app appears on the middle of the screen - this must be tweaked or is in development stage at Samsung - probably for next update of N10,1.
Double tap on the icon will bring the minimized app back to state where you minimized it.
Additionally you can put minimode.tray permission + qemu.hw.mainkey=0 in buildprop and you will get all miniapps working as well.
I didnt play with 4.1.2 much, had no time and i rooted my device just now after upgrade to 4.2.2. I played a bit with the device and found out that miniaps are working with this windowing as well.

wait...so are u saying that the systemui file provided in the zip in the first post of this thread works with 4.2.2 or are u just stating that replacing the file u suggested while leaving everything else stock will produce the floating windows (basically what @xperiacle is doing in the other thread)?

Just replace that xml permision file from .phone to .tablet as i described before - everything stock, just the permission file.
Tried a lot of combinations with replacing disabling some files, but replacing this simple .tablet permision gives you floating mw launched from stock flashbar.
-you will loose stock half to half screen mw.
-every app launched from flashbar run windowed - move, resize, minimize maximize.
-when you minimize, big icon of the app appears...doubble tap on icon restores back the app.
-maximize app - when app is fullscreen minize button is not there, so it wont work yet.
Xperiacle know more where the proper is for enabling those resize buttons in fullscreen. I am happy so far with this, running 160dpi but no tablet mode.
I also added navbar+miniapps, i find those miniapps usefeull. So basically, we have all goodies in 4.2.2, mw+miniapps. Just to make it perfect with minimize from fullscreen.
DISCLAIMER: This is to add the MobileData toggle to your notification panel on the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3. It might or might not work on the other models. Your phone has to be rooted in order for this to work. I'm not responsible if you screw something up on your device by not following directions.
Here are the steps I used:
1. Download the Sqlite Editor app from either the playstore(costs 2.99) or download it from my attachment.
2. After it's download, it will ask for root permissions, click Grant and it should load the databases.
3. Go to the FILES tab
4. Click on data, then after it opens up, look for data again
5. After that happens, scroll down the list till you find com.android.providers.settings and click on it
6. Click on databases and then click on settings.db
7. After you click on settings.db, then you will see system, click on that and it should open up a long list of things
8. Look for notification_panel_active_app_list. It will be near to the bottom of the list. You will see notification_panel_default_active_app_list. That is not the correct one. Make sure it says notification_panel_active_app_list.
9. Click and hold it till a sub menu pops up. Click on Edit Record
10. You're going to see a list of toggles under values
11. At the end of that list, make sure there is a ; after the last word. Then enter MobileData and put ; right after it. No spaces.
12. It should look like this for example: AirplaneMode;MobileData;
13. Now click Save, Reboot the phone and when it comes back up, you should have a MobileData toggle in your notification panel in your settings
Thanks

There is an app in playstore i forgot the name its something like notification pannel or something ,download it and you can add any toggle you want
For those (rooted) who wants google rules settings here is how to enable it *choose one of these three method* :
1st method ;
run this Terminal
1. su
2. pm enable com.google.android.settings.intelligence/.modules.routines.impl.settings.RoutinesSettingsActivity
(delete the space in "Activity" in the end of this terminal .. I don't have it in edit mode. no idea lol)
3. Go to settings>apps and notifications . And force stop (settings- settings suggestions)
-------------------
2nd method ;
1-Using a file explorer app that supports root navigation, such as Solid Explorer, go to the /data/data/com.google.android.settings.intelligence/shared_prefs folder.
2-Open the SettingsGoogleIntelligenceSharedPrefFile.xml file and change all flags values containing RoutinesPrototype in their name to true (except for the debug one). Before backing out of the file, save it.
3-From the Apps and Notifications menu, force-stop both the Settings and Settings Suggestion apps.
Open Settings and perform a search by typing "rules" (without the quotation marks).
---------------------
3rd method ;
just copy the attached file to this location :
/data/data/com.google.android.settings.intelligence/shared_prefs
*Go to settings>apps and notifications . And force stop (settings- settings suggestions)
Congratulations, u will find it in : settings>system. :highfive:
Thanks I ran the command (you do have a space near the end that needs to be removed) but I don't see a Rules section under settings-->system. Tried a reboot too
Something else need to be done?
