an update (18.5.C.0.25) for d2203 is comming and i don,t want to ruin all my hard work. so i am not working on it.
@vinay gpu freq goes down to 19mhz, whichever gpu governor or freq I select it goes down to 19mhz, 19mhz is not even in option, I think because of this im facing lots of lags in gaming,

Build Cranium Kernel from source
KERNEL SOURCE CODE- https://github.com/sakindia123/kernel-htc-pico
HOW TO BUILD
Note- This guide is for experienced users ONLY.If u dont know how to make kernel, read my guide here- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1396519
I WILL BE VERY HAPPY IF U COMPILE MY KERNEL FROM SOURCE AND USE IT!
Assuming u have set up your machine correctly...
Sync Cranium kernel sources and arm-eabi-4.4.3 toolchain
Code:
git clone http://github.com/sakindia123/kernel-htc-pico.git
git clone http://github.com/sakindia123/Android_Toolchains.git
Enter into kernel directory, edit build.sh and set up correct env. variables in Makefile(CROSS_COMPILE=your toolchain path). If u have less than 3 GB ram,use make -j48 in build.sh instead of make -j72
Code:
cd kernel-htc-pico/kernel
gedit makefile build.sh
Once set up,start building
Code:
./clean.sh && ./build.sh
U will get flashable ouput in kernel-htc-pico/auto-sign (neat,eh?)
Flash the zip in recovery mode and enjoy your very own cranium kernel!
last one folks
what did you do in this kernel. it only the 600mhz correct? changelog please
Go go go
Is it overclocked or stock with some tweaks
nywys reserved
i have 1307 mhz kernel.
Should i install this? This is only 600 mhz, right ?
Did i need set cpu ? Or the kernel manage himself?
Updated with features and instructions......
Kindly test and report if battery drain if less than stock
Thanks for the changelog...

Hello,
Great for that kernel. For against what the difference is compared to that of JaggyRom?
And it would be possible to overclock a 800MHz?
thank you

I understand that it will not work "a better camera" and "HDR Camera" from Almalence. Both do not work on DCT 4.2.2 r9.

Hello!
I mean, I merged all custom features which I added to the stock kernel over the time. So, basically, all custom features from Phenom Kernel v6.3.2 were merged.
I edited the changelog, thanks for reporting!
And this kernel is only for ION ROM's so for ADC Team's CM10.1 RC1 not the PMEM RC9

first additional information
Hi guys,
just want to inform you that i have tested antutu benchmark with this kernel - though i'm not a fan of it , but i have read about problems with it in the K^Kernel thread. With this kernel the benchmark run throuhg to the end
First result InteractiveX 1651 MHz SIO 6377
second result Ondemand 1400 MHz RAW App just closed at the end of the test. After restarting there was a result ??? 5965
third result SmartAssV2 1400 MHz NOOP 6037
Just a few results without any meaning despite that the benchmark works....
additional EDIT:
Meanwhile Christopher had investigated the cause for the problem for ANTUTU-Benchmark with "BIGMEM-K^Kernel" so it seems to be related to BIGMEM-Versions of the ION-customkernels.
Have a nice evening

you don't have to reinstall nothing, you can upgrade directly from r9... and apps are working, the problem with antutu benchmark on k^k is due to an application bug and it is already fixed (don't want to spam this thread, I say this only to let you know that all is working)
Black screen
Yesterday I installed 4.2.2 ion r1 on pmem r9, and this morning I uploaded Phenom 4.2.2 Kernel v0.1 for ION.
.
I have just bought a Moon+ Reader Pro is another application that is not working properly.
Starts, but I do not see the text because the screen is black.
.
On my HTC Desire everything works perfectly, so a black screen that is definitely not the fault of the application Moon + Reader Pro.
.
If there is someone who did a clean install of 4.2.2 ion, please check how it behaves Moon+ Reader. Thank You in advance.
.
I put this information in the thread with the kernel, but I do not know if the problem also applies to 4.2.2 dct r1 ion.
.
=============== edit =============
.
The problem disappeared after uninstalling and reinstalling the apk.

Maybe if I figure out why it isn't working, I mean GPU OC code is implemented in the kernel, but it's not working for some reason,
will see what I can do.

I'm not sure about that ether, but the weird thing is that even though the same code (as the one used for Z1) is included here,
you can't even switch GPU to more that 450MHz, I mean the GPU script has all 487.5MHz / 533MHz / 600MHz OCs but they aren't showing up
Tried it with pimp my z1
Didn't work. Specifically it crashes when any setting is changed from stock.
I'm on slimkat.
Running it on the latest CM11 nightly (31/5) and the phone momentarily freezes very shortly after boot before rebooting. Can't say what triggers it because it happens regardless of what I do.
Great work mate. The most important for me is the support for undervolting. Is it included in the kernel?

Yes it is, but you might find it buggy (for now)
@omarainea I have tested (not so much but anyway...) with carbon and resurection roms. RR install was cleaner I hadn´t utilized kernel settings beforkrnel install. Kernel works good, no reboots have changed a lot of settings without problems, on carbon phone reboots all the time but I had changed a lot of settings before kernel install. Later I will try more clean carbon installation with pimpkernel, for now I´m going with RR rom. Great work, thanks!

just did a clean Carbon or RR install, then boot to system, then reboot to recovery and flash the kernel without any wipes, reboot.

By clean you mean doing a factory reset prior?
And would it matter if I wipe partition and dalvik after flashing the kernel?
Also have you tried it with ART? My crashes only happen when I was on Dalvik

By clean install I mean factory reset and format /system prior, and it didn't matter to me whether I wipe dalvik after flashing the kernel or not.
also, now that you're mentioning it, I haven't tried ART on Pimped kernel yet (just Dalvik).

That step is always included in ROM instructions so I'm quite sure I did that. At first I thought the reboots were being caused by undervolting but even when I just changed the read-ahead in I/o settings I still get random crashes.
Hello!
Does the work kernel in the kit SlimRom? If so. I would like to test it!

Nope kit SlimRom is Sony based not cm-based ROM, this kernel is for cm-based ROMs.
if you're looking for a custom kernel for kit SlimRom you can try DooMKernel, I'll release v19 soon, so wait for it and try it

Unlock 2.7ghz I write as (maybe) future user of Z Ultra one
Hi Folks
It`s to silent in the compact forums thats why I response.
First this is a awesome Kernel, I have been running it today with default settings. Incredible 2.4GHz result in considerably faster starting of big apps, the Phone didn`t heat up at all , battery drain is slightly increased and I haven`t had any crashes. I`m realy impressed.
Thanks a lot Omeira.
Maybe someone would like to share recommended settings for good battery or performence, I don`t know all this new govenors.

How about 3ghz?
source can be found here:
https://bitbucket.org/morfic/trinity_five
i got it to work on my N5, and it worked pretty well.
I think 3ghz is too much, but if u unlock it and made ultra version i will try it on my phone (phablet ) to see how stable it will be on 3ghz (power is coming )
I think is better place for now to write what i wrote in zu pimped thread
ch3mn3y said:
If i,can i have small request: row i/o as i tried most possible set ups on pimped and nightmare on 2 first cores and pegasusq on two remaining + row on internal and vr on sd is the best (at least for me) <-- and im just missing row scheduler (however its possible that i didnt find it in ur thread)

However for more safe work on 3.0ghz u would need to add some steps like 2.5, 2.6, 2.8, 2.9. That way it will not jump so much in one moment (from 2.4 to 3 or form 2.7 to 3)

Yes I think 3.0GHz is too much as well, though I might try to include it later
and @ch3mn3y,, sure, I'll add adding ROW I/O to the to-do-list, and BTW I have made a build of this kernel for togari,
do you wonna test it? , cuz if the kernel is doing fine on togari, I'll start supporting it as well

send it. sure i will test it. it wont burn my phone
PS. Its based on c6833 or c6806 (like most kernels)? As they are lte versions and other can use it as well

Yeah it doesn't work using PimpMyZ1 app on amami as weel (that happen after adding 2.4GHz OC),
though it works using any other app, and you know what,
PimpMyZ1 is out-dated so you'll have to use another app to have control over all features this kernel has,
I believe PimpMyZ1 gives FC if you try to Control CPU voltage because this kernel contains 268MHz step, which never existed on pimped

I believe I didn't give you a link for Honami's build of this kernel!
did you try flashing the zip from this thread?
or someone else gave you a link to honami's build?
cuz it's usual to have the brick you had if you flash a kernel for amami on honami
Regards,
Omar.
Do you know any other app with per core governor support?
Sent using C6833 - Carbon KitKat/Pimped Z1 Kernel
I just tried the amami version. Because somewhere here I read something about Z1 U which is nearly the same hardware. I just wondered because Z1 C has another CPU. So I gave it a try. ?

Oki... Not an issue... It's just that I'm bored with using the same thing for months now.... I was hoping for something new.. I see that the development speed for this device is pretty slow... Maybe because it's new... I've had Galaxy s2 before and development was good for it... New rom every half a month... Hope this device earns that status too... I can see only you and a few others putting so much efforts on this device... Great work... Thanks.
Release Date.
release date changed.
rom will release today.
any chances that you will port this to D2203 ?i can test if you want

there are chances.
but rom is not problem problem is kernel.
if i ported then thare is chances of less features.
kernel porting is not easy i have to work from beigning on d2203 source code.
for d2203 kernel.
first of all if some one reported rom is working on d2203 also then kernel is only thing needed to be ported.
i dont know if D2203 and D2202 / 12 are compatible vice versa

but this rom only replace
/app all
/prev-app all
/framework all
/media one-file
/bin one-file
/ one-file
there are chances of it to be working on d2203
about 35% chances of working.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
guy,s sorry for delay of upload i have to reupload rom because i missed some files in flashable zip.

You haven't changed any system files so it should directly compatible with d2203. Only drawback is that they wouldn't be able to use the kernel which comes with the rom but that wont cause any problems.
