[Completed] My HTC one s is soft-bricked! - XDA Assist

Hi everyone,
I'm not very good in this technical business but a few months back I rooted my phone successfully and yesterday I thought i'll flash a new rom (abit late I know). It was a cyanogenmod M12 rom that I installed. Everything was going well until when I was in the "recovery" mode of my phone. After successfully wiping data and wiping cache, I clicked "reboot system now". Now my phone doesn't get past the HTC logo part. I tried the same thing with the "liberty-MAX-Sense-5.5" rom but still the same thing, it won't get past the HTC logo. Here is my current status:

HBOOT-2.13.0000
RADIO-1.11.50.05.28
OpenDSP-V31.1.0.45.0815
eMMC-boot
I am in CWM recovery v6.0.4.8. Oh and I should mention, my HTC one s is the s4 version.
I tried to go through some tutorials but they are not clear enough for my limited brain. Any help will be much appreciated, especially if you can please explain everything very thorough for me, step by step. Thanks

[Q] DS Singapore ROM

Greetings! I need a rom! My DS can't get out of bootloop, so I can't get the CID. That means I'm not able to make a gold card. All I know is that my device was made for Singapore. Does that mean I need to get a Singapore custom rom to bring my DS back to life? Where can I get it? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
My phone info, if that'll help:

Hey, check out this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1002506
I guess those are all we have so far. Just out of curiosity, how did your boot loop happened? There were several reports on this after battery being removed while phone wasn't responding and in all cases it was broken eMMC.
Thank you for your reply. I've tried some of these roms and it said "wrong CID" or smth like that..
I rebooted the phone while it was connected to pc. At the first time it almost booted but hanged when I was typing the sim password. The result of my next attempts to boot it was the htc logo on a white screen. I've tried the factory reset but it didn't work.
Is there a way to find out if it's 100% an eMMC problem?
Hey, I think if your factory reset went ok, there should be no problem with eMMC (but there might still be hardware issue).
Have you tried this ROM? http://www.filefactory.com/file/ca3...0805U_38.03.02.15_M_release_179398_signed.exe
There are very few developers or advanced users in Desire S forums, unfortunately, I'm not one of them, so there's only limited amount of advices I can offer. If I were you, I'd try to contact HTC directly and ask them for help. Is your phone under a warranty?
Tried it, still "wrong cid". HTC-Russia won't help cuz my phone's illegal here.. but thx anywayz

Blank screen after update

I bought brand new Desire S and I just did S-OFF on it, didn't have time to install new custom ROMs on it yet.. But, this morning it asked me to do system update, which I unfortunately did and finished with HTC blank screen!
Wiping cache and factory reset did not work..
Help to noob, please

[Q] Htc Sensation 58100 keeps restarting

Hi,
This is my first post and i have done alot of reading regarding my issue but could not find the correct answer that would fix the problem. So i need some help from the experts. I apologize if i sound stupid. So here it goes.
I have a htc sensation from t-mobile. (58100) I got this from a friend when it was stuck on htc logo on startup and would go no where from there.
So i did some research and installed different firmwares from (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767) and roms and would get different issues.
I installed "cm-9.1.0-pyramid.zip" and "OpenSensation2-20121203-pyramid.zip" with firmware 1.17 and 3.32 i was able to boot to the homepage past all the logos and loading but then the device would restart on its own and continue to do that everytime. I did do a complete system wipe except the SD card option in "4EXT recovery" but made no difference.
Then i installed the "DarkSense 1.1.0" with firmware 3.33. I would get past the htc logo but after a few minutes on the next htc sensation xe logo screen it would restart and do samething over and over until i do a battery pull.
This is what i get when i do the Vol down + power:

FASTBOOT
RECOVERY
FACTORY RESET
SIMLOCK
IMAGE CRC
This is all i know about the phone. I would really really appreciate if someone can guide me through this. I'm sure someone else must have faced this issue at some point. Please tell me what i should do to be able to use this phone. I don't mind using an old rom or firmware as long as the phone is working.
Thank You very much in advance

[Q/Help]Boot loops on various ROMS

Hi Guys (long time listener first time caller etc etc)
I finally got the courage to install a custom rom on to my HTC One XL (Telstra). After unlocking it installing the custom bootloader (2.5.0.0 TW) I have tried to install some roms and get no where with a few of them and boot loops if they actually install.
The two I can get to install but boot loop are ViperXL and cyanogenmod 10.0.
I am thinking I am doing something really simple wrong, but have tried a lot of things but no luck.
Details below; If there is anything else which might shed some light please let me know.

Is anyone able to steer me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance, Jase
oh, I did install all of Telstra's updates prior to starting. The last one brought android up to 4.1.2 I think.

Welcome mate.
Couple of things...
The HBoot version you have won't allow you to update the boot.img of the rom your flashing as part of rom installation. You have 2 options - first is to s-off which pretty much lets you do whatever you like. Check in the original development thread for how to s-off if you're interested.
The second option is to flash (install) the boot.img in bootloader mode.
You can do that either before or after you flash the rom. Before I was s-off I did it both before and after.....
There's a few ways to do it including using adb or some apps will do it automatically for you. Take a look here for one example: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1870455
And the second thing - good idea to post questions in the Q&A thread. More people look through there so you'll get your answer faster.
Get rid of twrp5.0, had the same issue, flaahed back to 2.3.3.1 and all is good...
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda premium
Thanks guys. I did the fastboot flash boot and it all came good.
Appreciate the help!

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
Sorry to hear about your trouble but fortunately there is an XDA area dedicated to the HTC One S at http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-s which would be a good starting place. I suggest you post your question with all relevant details in the friendly Q&A forum there at http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-s/help where the experts familiar with your device will be best able to guide you. Alternatively, you could ask for help in your ROM's thread.
Good luck!
