[Q] DS Singapore ROM - HTC Desire S

Greetings! I need a rom! My DS can't get out of bootloop, so I can't get the CID. That means I'm not able to make a gold card. All I know is that my device was made for Singapore. Does that mean I need to get a Singapore custom rom to bring my DS back to life? Where can I get it? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

My phone info, if that'll help:

Hey, check out this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1002506
I guess those are all we have so far. Just out of curiosity, how did your boot loop happened? There were several reports on this after battery being removed while phone wasn't responding and in all cases it was broken eMMC.

Thank you for your reply. I've tried some of these roms and it said "wrong CID" or smth like that..
I rebooted the phone while it was connected to pc. At the first time it almost booted but hanged when I was typing the sim password. The result of my next attempts to boot it was the htc logo on a white screen. I've tried the factory reset but it didn't work.
Is there a way to find out if it's 100% an eMMC problem?

Hey, I think if your factory reset went ok, there should be no problem with eMMC (but there might still be hardware issue).
Have you tried this ROM? http://www.filefactory.com/file/ca3...0805U_38.03.02.15_M_release_179398_signed.exe
There are very few developers or advanced users in Desire S forums, unfortunately, I'm not one of them, so there's only limited amount of advices I can offer. If I were you, I'd try to contact HTC directly and ask them for help. Is your phone under a warranty?

Tried it, still "wrong cid". HTC-Russia won't help cuz my phone's illegal here.. but thx anywayz

[Q] Htc Sensation 58100 keeps restarting

Hi,
This is my first post and i have done alot of reading regarding my issue but could not find the correct answer that would fix the problem. So i need some help from the experts. I apologize if i sound stupid. So here it goes.
I have a htc sensation from t-mobile. (58100) I got this from a friend when it was stuck on htc logo on startup and would go no where from there.
So i did some research and installed different firmwares from (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767) and roms and would get different issues.
I installed "cm-9.1.0-pyramid.zip" and "OpenSensation2-20121203-pyramid.zip" with firmware 1.17 and 3.32 i was able to boot to the homepage past all the logos and loading but then the device would restart on its own and continue to do that everytime. I did do a complete system wipe except the SD card option in "4EXT recovery" but made no difference.
Then i installed the "DarkSense 1.1.0" with firmware 3.33. I would get past the htc logo but after a few minutes on the next htc sensation xe logo screen it would restart and do samething over and over until i do a battery pull.
This is what i get when i do the Vol down + power:

This is all i know about the phone. I would really really appreciate if someone can guide me through this. I'm sure someone else must have faced this issue at some point. Please tell me what i should do to be able to use this phone. I don't mind using an old rom or firmware as long as the phone is working.
Thank You very much in advance

Seems like it gets stuck loading the kernel. But it's not bricked as far as I can see, else it's charging light wouldn't glow when plugged in.
Search for how to use RUU files on your phone (pretty simple). You'll need to find the right one (not as simple).
How do i know wich RUU is for me? Can you help me?

Thank you.
How do u think, this is the correct?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2102361
Hboot is 16.11.20.24_M in my phone, and there is 16.11.20.24_M too.
I can only assume you're from India (your link points this out), but I don't know your phone company.
Main thing is, just download (your) linked file and give it a try. If it's the wrong one, you simply won't be able to use it with your phone!
--- edit
just recognized it's hboot 2.15. Possibly it won't work with your existing 3.01 hboot (you mentioned radio version above, which doesn't matter). As said, just give it a shot. It'll simply not work in the worst case.

You could try to "hard reset" it.
Factory Reset
http://www.htc.com/us/support/howto.aspx?p_id=463&id=315367&p_name=htc-one-s-t-mobile
Basically, just factory reset from bootloader.
Otherwise, if none of the villeC2 RUU's will work, you could unlock, put a custom recovery on your phone and run one of the ROMs (even a stock).

[Q] Help with free phone with half-flash

So I lost my phone this week, and my buddy offered me up his old Inspire for free. He didn't mention the fact that it's like, midway through a failed flash (soft-bricked, I guess?). I've been searching and reading, but I just seem to get further down the rabbit hole with what exactly I'm supposed to do. Really, I haven't run across any threads with this problem yet.
It's currently S-ON, but has CWM installed. There doesn't seem to be a rom installed, because it'll hang on the HTC splash screen on boot (matter of fact, he didn't even give me an SD card with the phone, so I had to scavenge one of my good SanDisk ones) and I'm not entirely sure where to go from here to get it up and running. I don't care much for the Inspire's stock rom, but at this point I'm in dire need of a phone and if it's easier to go back to stock than it is to fix this mess and have a nice ROM, I can live for a little while.
What should I do, and how exactly should I do it? It's been quite a while since I tried this (and even then it was with my lineage of janky huawei handsets).
EDIT: I've got a screencap of the info but the board spam prevention won't let me link it.

My strong hunch is that he didn't flash the boot.img in the ROM zip, which you need to do for S-On Unlocked phones. When you flash a ROM in the recovery, make sure you also fastboot flash the boot.img from the ROM zip. The Ace Think Tank thread in DHD General has links with instructions on how to do that.

Aha! That did the trick. I just flashed Carbon on this thing, but now the Android keyboard won't work. It's okay, I'm sure I can fix it. Thanks for the help!
Yeah, that'll be an issue for the ROM thread. Though of course, if you didn't full wipe first, try that.

[Completed] [Q] Can not get past Fastbootafter attemptig to get back to stock

IAfter Rooting, S-Offing and installing the Viper ROM, I could not get Wifi to turn on due to a firmware issue. After countless failed attemts to get it to the current version, I decided to move back to stock.

PLEASE help, I' scared!! Thanks in advance
Hi,
I need to know your device make and model number to point you towards help.
Thanks!
Geeze, I'm sorry.
I am using an HTC One m8 with at&t. I'm not sure how to get the model number.
Also, I must have erased TWRP somehow, because when I select recovery from the Fastboot window, it brings me back to the same place.
You are s-off and super CID, easy to fix...
Here's a guide on updating firmware,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/development/firmware-flashing-panic-attacks-t2824048
And you can also flash recovery with fastboot again, same as you did the first time, then put a rom on an external sd card using another device, and flash it on your device from recovery from the sd card.
If you need help on those things, or want other ideas... The place to ask questions about your device is here,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/help-thread-htc-one-m8-questions-t2897783
Good luck!
Thanks. I'll gove it a try tomorrow when I'm not so tired.
I seriosely can't thank you enough for responding.
That did the trick! You're a life saver, I have no idea how I missed that.
One last question. Now that Firmware is update, it looks like I'm using the google ROM. Can I change it back to Venom i I prefer?
That question should probably be asked in the thread I linked 2nd. I've never converted mine to GPE, or back. ?
You're right, sorry about that.
Seriously, I have no idea how I missed that article but THANK YOU!!!! You quite literally saved my job (conference calls I needed to be on).

Stuck on Verizon screen, can't open bootloader or recovery

Hello,
I bought an unlocked HTC One M8 off Amazon two years ago and I rooted it a year ago and everything was fine. Today I got the notification that SuperSU needed to update its binaries, I thought it was weird since it just updated binaries a few days ago but I went on ahead and did it. It asked to reboot my phone and now I'm stuck on the Verizon screen. I'm way out of my field here, I don't even remember how I rooted it exactly and going through the threads here is making my head hurt. I was following advice from this thread but I feel like I hit a brick wall. I hit "fastboot" on bootloader and it takes me to the screen with the "hboot, ramdump, reboot, reboot fastboot, power down" options but I don't know what I'm supposed to do here. Recovery takes me to TWRP but idk what to do there either. I tried the suggestion to run the RUU but it always says that my phone is not connected and won't let me do anything, I updated my drivers but it still won't recognize my phone. As a last resort I tried doing a factory reset but that doesn't work either. I don't know what else to do and I'm starting to think I just got a new shiny brick. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

I think the easiest solution to try is to flash the most recent SuperSU.zip in TWRP.
https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/supersu/download/zip/SuperSU-v2.82-201705271822.zip
The process may of had issues if your TWRP is out of date, I think.. not sure.
But you have options, for sure
Flash a custom rom. If you prefer stock, then flash RUU, using sd-card method.
I don't think you need to worry about a brick as long as you're still nothing into hboot and recovery.
Once it won't turn on, then you have yourself a brick.
Or the state of some HTC 10 owners who are stuck in aboot and can't enter recovery.
You are stuck in a bootloop, or soft brick, if you will.
