I had that problem on OE2 and the only way I could fix it was to Odin the firmware again but could never get it to work on sac23 ROM, but worked for stock

I have a HTC inspire that is rooted and the g sensor didn't work when i bought it and after the hacking it still doesn't work right. anyone know how to fix this problem?
I believe it would help if you are more specific. How do you know it is not working? What specifically are you experiencing? Will the phone not go into landscape mode when using the browser? Have you tried to calibrate in settings?
Well i bought the phone new and it worked perfect for a day then when in landscape mode it get suck to the left. I calibrated it and it still sticks. So my friend said that was a problem with the inspire and if he changed the rom it would fix it. It worked for one day and the same happened. In landscape mode it sticks to the left but i can flip it up and down and in normal mode it sticks up.
Any help would be much appreciated. Oh and its running coredroid 2.3.3 i believe
The only fix I would see is turning auto-rotate off. Until I find a fix for you
thanks for the help
I bought a used Galaxy S2 that came with CM9 installed on it. The rom was pretty buggy so I reverted to gingerbread yesterday but I have an screen orientation issue.
When I hold my phone sideways it think's I'm in portrait mode. When I hold it normally it thinks I'm in landscape mode. I can turn screen rotate off but it is still annoying when I actually need the screen rotate feature for videos and such.
I live in Canada and my phone doesn't say it's the the AT&T version on the outside anywhere (it's not branded at all) but the software settings in about phone say i727 which is the AT&T model. Could that be wrong, is it possible I'm using the wrong software?
Horizontal calibration and Gyroscope calibration don't fix the rotation issue either. It was working fine in CM9 so I think it's safe to say it's a software issue.

Make sure you put a skyrocket kernel on your device. That what the problem is. Pm me if you have more issues

sounds like you are running the wrong software
pop the cover off, take the battery out, and see if it says i727 on the sticker. if it does, make sure you are running an i727 rom.
The T989 and the i727 are very similar, but screen orientation is the main thing that sets us apart. We can use their software and they can use ours as long as we port/fix the screen rotation or use the correct kernel.
Yeah it sounds like your using hercules rom on sky rocket or visa versa
CM9 Skyrocket

that link is for the hercules, this is the skyrocket forum, flashing hercules(t989) roms on the skyrocket(i727) or vica versa will mess up screen orientation
Hi everyone just trying to seek some help, I am experiencing a weird rotation problem with my device when I'm on landscape, like using GPS or watching YouTube I don't know why the phone rotates 180 degrees and it stays upside down until I put the phone straight up and then put the landscape again, has anyone experiencing this? is there a fix? or what's going on please help.
This is the second device, I submitted the first one to warranty and this one came back and it still does the same.

my rotation just stopped on me a couple days after i got mine, had to send in to samsung to get them to replace the component for rotation, something to do with heat from the fast charge. like soop said, try to odin stock firmware and see if its fixed, if not my guess is a messed up component. you can also try an app to see if your axis's are frozen, that would show a messed up rotator
I have the exactly same issue! Did you find any fix?

Sorry, I did flashed firmware over, still getting the flip upside down... As if sensor was over sensitive.

Hey guys so i was given a galaxy S7 edge and worked fine completely up until i updated it to 6.0.1 , the touch screen still works no problem but the bottom half of the display has turned white, the screen has not been hit or the phone has been on a soft surface ever since it was updated and would like to know if this is a software issue and if it can be fixed by flashing a younger version of android onto it. it was locked to telstra and silly me flashed a vodafone version on to it, i have tried to flash the right firmware back on to it but the problem still happens. heres a lame video of what is happening:

Hi, have you tried to boot it into download mode and manually flash the firmware downloaded from SamMobile.com? It's a bit strange for your phone to do that after updating it looks like (as you said) something a know or a drop would do...
Yeah me too but i just can't shake what happened to it then if it was hit on the screen overnight, i was pretty drunk. i've tried flashing yes.

It's extremely likely to be a hardware problem from what I saw in the video and if flashing a new firmware didn't work.
Good luck. I'd say get the screen replaced :good:
Hi everybody.
I noticed a problem on my S8+, with the Home Button Force Touch feature not working when the phone is hot, or even randomly.
Does anyone have a problem like that ?
I think this happens since the last update, but I can't be sure because I had the update 3 days after I got the phone.
Thanks.
I had the same issue about a month ago. I asked about it in every forums but no one answered.
Problem happened when I was playing game. I was trying to get to the home screen by hard pressing home button but my phone didn't respond. I tried to fix it in every way. I contacted Samsung via mySamsung app but the advice they gave me didn't work at all. Fortunately after a day, it started working again and the problem has never happened since then.
I recommend you to clear cache partition in recovery mode and then wait for a day.

Thanks I'm gonna try your advice. But I didn't install TWRP yet and didn't root either, so I'm not sure I'm gonna be able to do it.
Ok so I wiped the cache partition (with the stock recovery), let's see if it worked.

Exynos and no carrier branding
It happened again today....
This is really annoying.
I think the heat disable the feature.
Nobody has the same problem ?
