Bricked it... - Sprint Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I've done a stupid thing. I just Bricked my s5. I have TWRP recovery on. I flashed the Xtrestolite Rom (great one!). When installed, i ran through the usual setup of the s5 and noticed i forgot to flash my Samsung browser. i had apparantly also the reactivation lock before the. So, when i was on my homescreen i decided to reboot into recovery to start flashing the browser when i get the message
'Custom Binary blocked by Reactivation Lock'
'Secure fail: Recovery'
Still get into download mode but Odin won't spot the phone and also there's still the message that reactivation lock in download mode is still on.
Any idea's? I'm brand new here and also a bit of a semi-noob, so be gentle.

From what I have read, you need to Odin back to kit-kat in order to disable the reactivation lock, then you can upgrade to lollipop again.

You have to flash the stock rom and disable activation lock in security settings I think.

You should try to flash the stock rom, download it from sammobile, i have the exact link but i can't post URL's because i'm new to XDA, well, then flash it with ODIN, if it doesn't recognize your device make sure that all is well configured with ODIN and your device, hope it helps.

[Q] Reactivation lock remains enabled

Guys, recently I have ****ed up in a rush to reset my phone apparently I reset it in such a way that now I am only able to login with my own Samsung account due to the problem of an 'abnormal factory reset'. If I set my phone up with my Samsung account nothing is wrong and I can just use my device. Only know when I try to disable the Reactivation Lock from Settings > Lockscreen and Security > FInd My Mobile, while typing my correct password I just get thrown back to the Find My Mobile section and the Reactivation Lock goes back on. While my device remains fully functional I fear that I can not install custom roms/bootloaders etc. and I will be limited to stock Android from Samsung. I can also see and locate my device in account.samsung.com, but here I can also not remove the Reactivation Lock.
What I have done already is;
Reset my device via Settings > Backups and reset > Factory data reset. However, this did not work.
Another reset using the volume up + home + power button, also reset the device, but the problem with the 'abnormal factory reset' remains.
I also used Smartswitch to update my device, but the update did not fix anything
I am also not able to detect my device in KIES Emergency Firmware Recovery. I can and have performed a firmware update with KIES, however this also did not work.
Even flashing the original firmware with which my phone came via ODIN did not solve this problem; I successfully flashed this device, but the problem persists. Important: I have flashed the phone with the firmware I believe to be its first as I can not exactly recall what this firmware was. So what firmware do I need the very first firmware my phone came with or the firmware I set the Reactivation Lock up with? As I recall neither I am just trying roms; does anyone know if I can figure this out by knowing my model and serial number in combination with my IMEI number?
Finally, understandably Samsung refused to help as it is their opinion that I have stolen this device. I mean can't just see the history of my device with my IMEI and S/N . I hope that someone can help, while I do not like running Stock that would probably needs to do. Luckily, I have not updated my device to 5.1 and I can use PingPongRoot.
So does anyone have a similar problem? Or am I an unique idiot?

I was also seeing things on net my phone was not booting
Odin was also not working
Then after half day search i found 2 tricks
*Your data will be erased
1st - use (Smart Switch). Goto more on toolbar>options will be provided "too simpel but time consuming"
2nd - search for the latest update of your firmware on the "sammobile" """"latest"""""
Use odin and flash it
It will work
After it if apps force stops you then factory reset it manually
Then reboot it
After
Remove your all accounts from phone to
Fap off
In download mod and other works

SM-G930FD - Apps crashing and Random Reboots

Hi Community,
My S7 Dual Sim was working great until it was updated to 7.0 and the phone start to behave crazy. Applications crashing and reboots all the time. I tried all possible options to reset but the issue remained the same.
When updating with Smart Switch, it ends into No Command screen for a while followed by "Failed to verify for dmvarity hash tree" error in recovery.
I rooted it and installed stock fw with ODIN that ends into dm-verity verification failed error and only boots if I install TWRP but with same crashing and reboot error. Sometimes If I select reboot on dm-varity error, the phone sometimes enter into a bootloop and keeps on restarting from Samsung Galaxy S7 screen or sometimes it goes to Samsung animation and remain there until I reset using vol - and power buttons.
I searched but couldn't find any solution. Can someone please help

Help is badly needed... Thx
I am raging here too. My device was locked out because it was rooted. After the newest update the phone stared to behave in the same way as yours. One of the reboots ended with bootlooping screen and a text in the upper left corner saying that there was FRP lock whick basically locks your phone when it sees root or something malicious. Samsung kinda updated their security and i think its on hardware level couse i cant install custom rom now.
But i an assure you that u can fix your phone.
Go to sammmobile dot com and there in the firmware section find your model and then go to your country in the drop menu. Then go and select the lastest 6.0.1 update an download it. After that just google How to update samsung software with ODIN and follow the tutorial. WARNING your phone may loose all of the data in it which basically means all your files and photos ect.
Thx for your inputs however I am not stuck with any lock as my FRP LOCK: OFF
My phone boots normally after I install TWRP but its highly unstable to be a daily driver with applications crashing and random reboots like crazy...
I will try downgrading my phone to 6.0.1 and post results here

I took it to Z3X box technicians and they tried fixing my DRK but dm varity error is still there. I have booted it again by installing TWRP and dm varity fix but issue is random apps crashing and reboots that makes the phone highly unstable.
Any ideas...

S7 stuck with EFS lock and FRP lock

Hi Guys,
My relative has a stock Australian S7 SM-G930F which has an issue trying to boot, it was running standard optus firmware and just stopped working one day, stuck at samsung screen.
So I tried to perform a factory reset from recovery and still same issue it cannot access the EFS partition.
So I go to try to load a stock firmware and same issue.
I found this article which looks like it should restore access to the EFS partition https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/general/how-to-fix-efailed-to-mount-efs-invalid-t2858056 but whenever I try to load a custom recovery I get FRP lock so it looks like from my reading I am stuck and my relative now has a flashy brick?
Cannot seem to get ADB to work I assume because it has never had USB debugging enabled.
It has never been rooted, custom firmware or anything.
The only thing that works is download mode with ODIN. But since EFS is corrupted/inaccessible and FRP is locked I don't see a solution.
Anyone come across this issue before and how to solve?
It is not under warranty and is slightly damaged so not worth sending back for repair.
Same case
Exactly the same case with me. My device stuck on "Galaxy S7 logo", when I tried to enter recovery mode , got message failed to mount /efs, already tried to flashing with original rom, but still the same.
Then I tried to install twrp, but I got FRP locked.
If anyone can help us maybe there's some steps that I've missed

[HELP][SM-G930F] Cant boot after factory reset using twrp, Please help

Hi everyone,
so it was working perfectly this morning, then i factory resetted it, and used it for a few hours, but forgot to turn on oem unlocking in dev options. And then when i rebooted it it never turned on after that. it showed Custom binary blocked by frp lock on upper right corner in red color.
i had encountered this issue before so i knew the solution, i simply fired up my odin3 3.14. and started flashing my stock rom. after it was done it gave me another error
Failed to mount /system as rw and started restarting after that error.
i had encountered this issue before also, so i knew the solution, i downloaded the latest twrp for herolte, and last time when i did that it successfully installed and then i flashed encyption disabler zip, and it was a happy ending to a stressful evening. but unfortunately this time it wasnt like last time, it was one of those anime fighting comeback scenes where you think you have defeated the villain but he comes back, So this time when i tried flashing the last twrp through odin it said "FAIL!" and on the phone appeared the message "Custom binary (RECOVERY) Blocked By FRP Lock"
please help me fix this phone, i solely use it for watching movies and stuff, no sim card,
ask me any other detail that i might've forgotten to mention.

Forget about TWRP at this point to get the phone working you just need to flash the stock that was on your phone before modification or the latest version of it. Then when phone reboots and FRP lock kicks in you just sign in with the Google email and password connected to the phone.
@cooltt, boss thats the issue, i wish it asks me that. i have the email and password to which its locked to. but after i flash stock rom it automatically boots into recovery mode and shows "Erasing" and after some time it shows no command. and reboots. if i check the terminal on that "no commands" window it shows. failed to mount /system as rw, but that can be fixed if i can flash twrp frok download mode but now even that requires frp unlock. cant see an escape. i will just goto a mobile store on weakend if nobody posts a solution here.
this is why Samsung are the worst android smartphones . what use is the security system if even the owner gets locked down
