[Completed] Rooting problems htc evo 3d x515m gsm - XDA Assist

Hello guys. First to mention that maybe my English is bad since i'm form Serbia. I've tried to unlock bootloader, "How to Root HTC Evo 3D GSM!" on HTCEVOHACKS
To downgrade hboot from 1.53.0007 to 1.49.0007 and to s-off "How to Downgrade to HBOOT 1.49.0007 on HTC Evo 3D GSM!" on HTCEVOHACKS
I did every single thing that needed to be done, with first method, i got stuck on this
"sending 'unlocktoken' (0 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.144s]
writing 'unlocktoken'...
FAILED (remote: unlock token check failed)
finished. total time: 0.157s", and then i've tried solution with RUU.exe, i think i found right one for my phone, finished rooting successfully, and i've tried again to unlock bootloader, but bum, the same thing with command prompt fails to write unlocktoken. With second method for downgrading i have changed CID as it says to HTC__001 i think, but on next steps i had no luck, it just finishes all work with command prompt, but on phone won't show that it's installing rom as on the video, just shows htc logo and then just boots up to android, hboot still 1.53 and S-on.
Other info:
ICS 4.0.3
Software number 3.28.401.1
SHOOTER_U PVT SHIP S-ON RL

thanks
Here you Go! Click this link!
Read! Read! Read! Make sure you understand correctly before proceeding.
Good luck!
But this doesnt work for HBOOT 1.27.0000?
Is your Sensation already rooted? Is your Sensation already S-OFF? Did your Sensation have a Recovery installed?
Hi,
No it was previously S-OFF and unlocked and rooted.
But it was damaged and I just got it back from HTC with HBOOT 1.27.0000 with S-ON and the rooted has been lost
So I need assistance on how to flash custom roms etc with this new HBOOT as revolutionary wont support it,
Ho! That's clearer!
Go to this link then!
Cheers!
Thanks.
But how do I do these steps
* Be unlocked using the HTCdev bootloader unlock - http://htcdev.com/bootloader
* Be rooted (have superuser and/or an unsecured boot image installed)
Thanks

Hi,
Sorry.
It seems HTC are determined to eff people over with their latest hboot and now the m/boards...
I don't think they should be allowed to do that!
Why let some people unlock their phones and not others? They should send back a phone with the same functionality as the one that they received. I'm going to send them an email and ask then what they are playing at.
Frickin idiots.

I could be wrong, but I thought it was an issue with the new motherboard having a new IMEI which didn't match factory records for HTCdev unlock to work. I believe someone has contacted them regarding this and they are looking into it. I don't think they intentionally tried to screw anyone over.
Why s-off? What you want? Just Unlock bootloader
Sent from my HTC Z710e using xda premium
I cant even unlock bootloader cause HTCdev doesnt work
I wanted s off so i can superCID andinstALl custom rom

HTC unlock gives error

HI, a week or so ago I updated my HTC sensation with an OTA update, but lost my Wifi.
I check some of the treads and tried various suggestions in them but still no joy.
I contacted HTC UK and after trying several things , including factory reset I was asked to return the handset.
To day a received my handset back., Wifi now works, software is 3.33.401.106, which gave me the Wifi problem OTA. Serial is same IMEI is different (New mother board?)
h-boot is 1.29.0000 (was 1.27.0000)
I attempted to use the HTC all in one kit to both unlock the bootloader and re root the device, which worked fine on 1.27.0000.
however the unlock failed, so I then followed the bootloader unlock steps on the HTC site and again no joy.
Token subittal is sucessful but .bin file gives the following
c:\AndroidSDK\platform-tools>fastboot flash unlocktoken unlock_code.bin
sending 'unlocktoken' (0 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.156s]
writing 'unlocktoken'...
FAILED (remote: unlock token check failed)
finished. total time: 0.172s
Any suggestions/help appreciated
You cant unlock it with with HTC dev after the Mainboard replacement , you can still soff and root using this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1661631
Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda app-developers app
Edit: (Link added). Afaik you cant Unlock using HTC Dev because you SN and IMEI doesnt match anymore.

Thanks for this, tried as per instructions but the ControlBear.exe task had problems, never connected to the device, so never got to the 'wire trick'
Will check thru the tread for this method and see if any problems listed

Am currently running a 2.3.4 OS and want to root my phone
I used the guide from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1931096, with the title "[GUIDE] [HOW-TO] Root Your Droid Incredible 2 VIA HTC Bootloader Unlock". to get the phone unlocked. Bu any time i try to flash it with the CWM recovery it get stack at "sending 'recovery' <3722 KB>... " and nothing else will happen until my battery runs down and the phone eventually goes off.
Please can some one help me cross this bridge?????? I have tried Using the tacoroot method but that seem not to work for me since it wont allow me to downgrade to 2.3.3
Any help will realy be appreciated. Please make explanations much more simpler. Am very grateful for the assistance

[Completed] How to correct or backgrade Htc desire 820u to stock firmware

I just purchased this phone from a friend because it has some software problem which though I should be able to fix through factory reset. But to my surprise, the rom seem to have been flashed before to a mediatek rom instead of snapdragon. Then I tried to flash through fastboot but it keeps saying "FAILED (command write failed (Too many links))" whenever I try to use any fastboot command other than "fastboot reboot." I also tried to use RUU but it doesn't detect the phone in bootloader. The current information of the phone is:
"A5_TL PVT SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-3.18.0.0000
RADIO-1.101.1161.16.24

(without quotes).
Thanks for your quick help already.

Annoying red text message during boot splash with strong white background color disturbing my eyes
After S-OFF i installed CyanogenMod 13.0 on my Htc One A9
I did my research I found that I needed an image that is not signed, that is called aboot.bin for our model Htc one A9,
Therefore I requesting if someone have a aboot.zip so I can flash it with
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
Code:
fastboot flash zip aboot filename_aboot.zip
example this thread have a solution for HTC one M8 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2710503 Dev Santod040
It would also be nice to have a logo-Builder for the htc one A9 model and flash to the correct partition-block or adb'ing the shell witch busybox-binaries to the memory-Block in the emmc example ""dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p?? of=/sdcard/mmcblk0p??""
Example for the boot-logo-builder by Dev AnkadNikov
Send me aboot.zip-files so I can upload to you folks! or just post your self in this trhead with the right description of :
modelid
cidnum
mainversion
Warning! Don't do it until I confirm it works... It should also work with signed aboot.img I think (I will resarch, and tell you that later in this Htc One A9 development thread.
aboot.bin binaries for download
Here I will upload various aboot.bin for your precious phones, folks!
This is a bad idea. Flashing unsigned firmware to the A9 can result in 1) device automatically being set to S-ON, or 2) brickage (I know, because I bricked one this way). Unless you've tried this yourself and NOT bricked (and even if you have), I don't recommend this to anyone, and I'm pretty sure @jcase would agree.

Here's aboot.bin I just dumped from my device. (mmcblk0p12)
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B46kDSOkBccjYWp2RzFNdTJpUzA/view?usp=docslist_api
Att HTC a9 converted to developer edition after achieving s-off and now runing cm13.
The last ota I took from HTC was 1.55.617.4
HTC USA Unlocked
modelid: 2PQ912000
cidnum: BS_US001
For me only appears this red warning if i unlocked the bootloader. This is the reason why i always have boot relocked (no warning if s-off)
Is there any way to s-off without using sunshine? I'm Detailed for cash and can't afford the 25 at this time.
Only if xtc2clip owner s-off your device.

Hi,
Is this `aboot.bin` for HTC One A9 that will remove red text?

Does anyone know how to unhard-brick A9? I killed HBOOT accidentally. Now it's only detected as Qualcomm Device and nothing is being loaded?
---------- Post added at 11:35 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:40 AM ----------
I have patched in hex editor and removed all that text that came in red (without changing the checksum) from `aboot.bin` that I extracted with `dd` from mmcblk0p12. Later, `fastboot flash aboot aboot.bin` under download mode didn't work. `dd` under `adb shell` also did not do anything.. Then I rebooted to bootloader and ran `fastboot flash aboot aboot.bin`. The message was - success. I happily rebooted and that was the end of the my HTC One A9 .
Is there a way to fix this POS? It's hard bricked!
@Captain_Throwback
You write in your post above that flashing unsigned firmware to the A9 is a bad idea.
Frist thing is I believe you...I also flashed on my first A9 modified hboot (without red warning)...
I made the same changes like I did on m7/M8/M9/HTC10 (had never a Problem with them) but with A9 baam!
I made a nice paperweight....can you tell me why did this happen only to A9?
Why did this modified hboot hurt only A9 so badly and all other devices I tried all went well?
thanks in advance
