[App][Free] Find your Phone in case of theft or loss - Android Apps and Games

Hi Guy,
if you search a free app that in simple mode find your phone in case of theft or loss i think you should try this app:
This is my first post and i can't insert link so if you want try the app search Smartphone Monitor GPS Free on Google App Store.
Smartphone Monitor GPS send the GPS position of your mobile phone via GPRS to a web server GPS, or via SMS to another number. You can set the frequence of send.
There is also a useful function ANTITHIEF. If your phone is stolen and the thief change the sim card, you can receive an sms with the new SIM card number inserted and teh position of the device, to another telephone number set.
There also other useful function:
- SOS Alarm. Send an SMS with alarm and position to another telephone number when the button is pressed.
- Stealth mode. Hide the app from the launcher.
- Commands via dial pad
If you download the app you can try also our GPSWeb service free for seven days. You will be able to track your device on google maps in real time.
There is also a payment version with more functions and more days of tracking on GPSWeb.
Bye

Problem:
there is a GSM Module in my car. It has three functions:
1) Send alarm warnings (when someone is trying to steal the car or CD player) to my phone (XDA2) as a SMS.
2) Retermine car's location, when it is stolen
3) Remote control of Webasto heater (when standard radio remote control can't reach the car - max. distance is 800m)
Each of these function has a small problem:
ad1) XDA just once silently beeps when SMS is received. It is fine for regular messages, but not for that message saying "Someone si trying to steal your car!". So I need a different sound for received messages, depending on sender - the sound for SMS sent by my car must be louder and longer, than SMS sent by my wife! How to do that?
ad2) I'm using T-Mobile Locator service for that. I don't know if TMO offers it in all countries, but here, if you know LocatorPIN of some mobile phone, you'll immediately receive a SMS containing location of that phone. I also have a great navigation software and maps (2CDs) from TMO - so when your phone is connected to the PC, you can track location of your car (or even of your wife). But without the PC, you'll only receive a text message with approximate location (calculated from one BTS). On PC you'll get more precise position calculated from more BTSes. So I need to use my XDA as the PC - I want to see accurate position on the map. But I'm not sure if some PocketPC navigation map software (such as TomTom) is able to read the coordinates automatically from SMS in inbox. On PC you can use any GPS software with "T-Mobile Locator", because TMO provides a driver, which simulates GPS, but in fact it sends SMS location requests, reads the SMS responses and sends coordinates from them to the navigation software.
ad3) To start or stop or control other heaters functions, you need to send a SMS to your car in special format (syntax). There must be a 7-digits password for the car's GSM gate and SMS also must contain commands for the heater in proper syntax. So I'd love some application simillar to those applications for infrared remote controls - the fullscreen panel with buttons such as "Start heating", "Stop heating", "Turn winter mode on", "Turn summer mode on", "Auto switch-off after XXX minutes", etc... (all commands accepted by heater and/or climatronic). I'd define SMSes in proper format under these buttons (just once) and then I would be just pressing these buttons and XDA will automatically send the SMS. Is there such a piece of software (remote control software sending SMS mesages instead of infrared beams)?
In a worst case I would create that software by myslef. I just received a DVD with latest VisualStudio.NET from M$, I also have the devkit for WM2003. But I don't know, how to send SMS, how to read it from inbox, atc...

Question on program mod

I ran across this program. Basically, if it detects an unauthorized SIM, it will send a text message to a preprogrammed phone number, alerting that the device is using an unauthorized SIM. I'm curious if something like this could be modified to send the GPS location of the device as well. After having my last phone stolen, I'm hoping there's a way to combine the two so as to help in efforts to recover a stolen phone.
Any thoughts?
Ultimate Theft Alert can do this:
http://www.pocketpc-live.com/pocketpc-softwares/ultimate-theft-alert-v3-for-pocket-pcs-2.html
While I can see where that program will send an SMS alerting that the device is using an invalid SIM, I don't see where it sends the GPS location of the device in the SMS message.
In other words, there are programs that allow you send your GPS longitude and lattitude via SMS. I'm looking for something that combines that with the capabilities of programs like Bak2U and Ultimate Theft Alert.
it could be don but it's unlikely it would be compatbile with all gps devices
it would have to be started with a shortcut in windows\startup and check the sim with the bounded sim at each start up
it would have to do all checking and sms'ing silent
and if the thief had a prepaied sim card it could be that it could not even send any sms's
most thiefs i guess would not keep it for themselfs anyway they would hardreset it removing the proct program and sell it to somebody else
The programs already out there do the checking of the SIM and sending of the SMS silently, already. It would just be a matter of getting the GPS location and adding that to the SMS. Then again, I don't know anything about modding.
The ability to track a lost or stolen mobile phone with a built in GPS chip would be ideal.

Awesome! Thanks much. I see a lot of stuff in their forums about XDA

Thanks and greetings!

Installing “Remote Security” in your phone, you will be able to control your terminal remotely.
Remote Security controls your phone in case of lost as well as if it is stolen. You will be able to lock remotely your phone, request its location, activate robbery alarm or force a call to a previously designated number.
In case of the replacement of your sim card, your phone will automatically redirect any outgoing call to a previously designated number by you.
Remote Security may run in hidden mode, so nobody but you will notice that the application is installed in your phone.
How it Works?
You will be able to control your phone simply sending SMS.
Where to send this messages? There are two options:
* If your SIM card is already into your phone, you will send the SMS to your own phone number.
* If a new SIM card has been inserted into your phone, Remote Security will send you a message, to an alternate contact number, with the phone number of the SIM card on your terminal. This is the number you will send the SMS to.
Note: All messages sent to activate any Remote Security feature should be lower-cased written, with no blank spaces.
Using and setting up Remote Security is a quick and easy process.
The first time you execute the application, a secure PIN and an alternate contact phone number will be requested.
This data will only be requested once, since Remote Security will keep it in memory.
If you already have installed a software to stop or kill process, like “Task killer” or “task manager”, you will have to exclude “Remote Security” from the killing process list. This is necessary for a proper work of the application
For android 2.2 users (Froyo): Remote Security do some security checks when the phone is rebooted. For a proper running of this checkings, please install this application into the internal memory of your terminal. Remote Security can be installed into your partitioned SD card only in case you have a Rom that allows applitcations to be installed into a patitioned SD card.
What is “Security Code”?
This is a code chosen by you so the phone recognizes you as the owner of the phone. Let’s see an example: to see the location of the phone in case of lost or theft, you will send a sms containing our security code followed by the word “where”.
Eg: mycodewhere
Immediately you will receive a sms with the location, including city and country, where your terminal is.
You can change your Security Number anytime you want.
What is “Phone Number?
Remote Security asks you for a phone number. This is the phone number where you will receive all the requested data from your phone, like location or the phone number of the non-authorized sim in your terminal.
You can change the Phone Number anytime you want.
Authorized SIMs
The first time you execute Remote Security on your phone, it will record the SIM already inserted. Remote Security will take this SIM as the owner of the phone. In case you have another SIM card to use in the same terminal, Remote Security can authorize a secondary SIM by inserting the card on the phone or typing the code.
You can change the authorized SIMs in your terminal anytime you want
In case of a non-authorized SIM is inserted in your terminal:
1 – Remote Security sends you text message with the phone number of the non-authorized SIM in your phone.
2 – The person using your pone will not be able to make any outgoing call but to a previously designated number by you.
Note: In case of lost or theft of your terminal is highly recommendable to ask your mobile company a copy of your SIM card. Doing this you will keep your phone number since the person using your terminal will not be able to make any call from your phone number.
As you can imagine, once you receive a copy of your lost SIM card, you can ask Remote Security to the send the requested data to your own phone number.
Available Options:
Lock:
Lock:
Send a SMS with your Security Number followed by the word lock
Eg: mycodelock
Unlock:
Send a SMS with your Security Number followed by the word unlock
Eg:mycodeunlock
Location:
Using this option you will receive a SMS with the location of your phone.
If the GPS is already active in your phone, Remote Security will locate the phone via GPS. In case of GPS is not active or is not receiving satellite signal, the location will be done by triangulating the phone signal.
To query the location:
Send a SMS with your Security Number followed by the word where
Eg: mycodewhere
Call me:
If you want to contact the person using your phone, the option “call me” will force a call from your terminal to a previously designated number by you.
Once the terminal receive the command, it will emit a sound warn, vibrate and notify it is going to call the owner of the phone. Then the terminal will proceed to call.
To request a call:
Send a SMS with your Security Number followed by the word callme
Eg: mycodecallme
Alarm:
This option may be specially usefull if you think your phone could be near you.
Using the option “alarm” your terminal will play a loud robbery alarm which can’t be quieter or muted. No matter if your phone is already muted or the volume is low. This alarm will also lock the phone.
To activate the alarm:
Send a SMS with your Security Number followed by the word alarm
Eg: mycodealarm
To deactivate the alarm:
Send a SMS with your Security Number followed by the Word stopalarm
Eg:mycodestopalarm

Looks nice, I will give it a try!
It would be great if it has also a Stealth Mode like "Theft Aware", than I think it is nearly perfect.
To shot on GPS ist not possible with SMS Code I think?
Is it possible to integrate it in the ROM, so also a Hardreset can not delete the Program and the Settings?
Hi cyrustv
The features that doesn't need an action from the user, like the location request, run in stealth mode.
I'll keep in mind your suggestion about the GPS, thanks!
To integrate the application into the Rom it should be added, already configured, into the rom itself.
I really appreciate your comments, it is the best way to keep growing
Kind regards

Hi
I have not tested it on a phone without sim card. I guess that would work except for functions related to the sim number

[APP]AntiTheft

With the implementation anti-theft you know, in case of loss, the exact location of your phone Android.
How it works?
Theft application is automatically activated when you restart the phone and detect a SIM change.
The program seamlessly send a sms every minute (or configured in the application) to mobile phone indicated. The SMS is not recorded in the outbox.
"I can activate / deactivate the service differently?
Yes, to detect the change of SIM, the phone will automatically send an SMS to the phone number of the new SIM, you just have to send an SMS to that number with the phrase set in the anti-theft application to start or stop service .
How to authorize a SIM?
Simply access the application and click on the button "Allow SIM."
How to authorize all my SIM's?
To enable multiple SIM, you just have to put the application anti-theft in "test mode" and go authorizing one to one phone SIM. Do not forget to turn off the "test mode" to complete this task.
What happens if you accidentally activate the service?
You can access the application anti-theft (using the key provided) and click on the top button (to be put in red).
If I have GPS, can locate my phone?
Yes, because if your phone lacks GPS, find the phone for mobile phone masts, they give an approximation of the location of your phone.
Please any questions or problems, please send an email to the developer. Thanks.

[HELP] ATOOMA app Airplane off error with ICS4

Is there anyone using ATOOMA app with ICS4?
Code:
Create your Atooma to get any kind of task automagically performed on your smartphone.
Atooma put your smartphone at your beck and call.

- Whether you want your inbox Sms or e-mail automatically read while driving
- Or prevent your phone from ringing or log onto a network when battery is about to die
- What if your phone be so smart as to save in Dropbox your holiday's pictures
No matter what need to be done, from wifi to facebook posts, gps to Gmail and photo – there is Atooma to automate it all.
I have a problem using ATOOMA when I set it doing 'Airplane Off' command. In fact it turns Airplane mode OFF and SIM turns ON but 2G SIM Antenna has no signal with error icon on it and dialer can not call any number. I must manually do Airplane On and Off in phone setting.
May anyone to try it and help me, please?
