No Network/No SIM Registered - Sony Xperia L

Hi, after unlocking Bootlock and flash ROM do not signal a SIM is not registered on the network. I tried to lock the bootloader back then flash through flashtool and bottles pccompanion always all right but not the signal even if the phone reads SIM. On xda I've only found a similar problem is solved in Xperia SP http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-sp/general/how-to-fix-network-baseband-missing-imei-t2865378 where the problem solved flash Baseband. Please does anyone baseband Xperia L C2105 15.3.A.1.17 or a fix? Baseband is not part of the official ROM? thank you

I have the same problem apparently, although I'm on CM12./12.1 and not on stock rom.
Phone asks for the PIN of the SIM when starting, confirms ok, then it does not register to (any) network carrier.
When I go to settings and do a search for network operators, it does not find anything.
Tried installing different custom roms, no change (can't flash stock again)
Is there an app to see the info available (like with the Sony service menu *#SERVICE#* ) on the screenshot ?

it's hardware problem i had a the same problem long time ago if i were you i would go to the sony's company branch in the country to fix this problem by the way before going remove root and relock bootloader and remover recovery this will get back your warranty if your xperia L warranty time didn't get expired !
and by the way don't tell them about anything of flashing cm or making software or anything just pretend that you don't know any thing about what happened !

Can you tell me what exact defect your phone had, if you remember ?
I always do that when servicing a phone .. but it got in for service a few months back, they had changed the motherboard.
Thing is, that tmotherboard seems to be faulty (antenna ?) now and the warranty has expired according to them.
That's untrue since the warranty gets prolonged for service by 3 months each time the phone gets back repaired from them.
Now they pretend the defect is caused by bad handling of the phone (shocks and so on) ... what a bunch of $*&!#
So.. back to square one, any ideas ?

You, guys, probably deleted the modem partition of the phone... (unintentionally of course)
Have you backupped it?

Nope I have no backup, but I have all the files from inside the latest stock rom ftf
Except I can't flash it with th Sony update program (because of the internal memory mod I used).
Last ime I tried, Flashtool asked about some kind of usb-profile to let the flashing happen (which I don't have)...so I'm stuck.
Is there a way to flash the modem from command line instead ?

Try to find out your IMEI (dialer *#06#), if you have no IMEI, your modem is broken, if you have, then it's something else

Without backup of your very own modem partition, I think that there is nothing you can do about it... (Not even the FTF can help you)

hii, m having the same no service issue. I flashed stock C2104_15.0.A.2.17_India.ftf, it had a option of MiscTA exclude SIMLOCK click box, i did that which even asked that it may brick the device, however i still flashed that. Flashing was ok. But after switching on there's no service, the sim is detected, and it can search available networks, when try to register, it registers but , still no service. IMEI is still there, so about the stuff you were talking that modem might be broken. I hope it's not. I tried flashing other versions of stock rom , even the latest one,, still no changes. Can you suggest something anyhelp. and yeah i'm not able install any kernel or recovery thru the flashtool. and tried other methods , but can't install recovery,, so can't install custom rom. any help would be appreciated.

There are 8 gold pins at the point your sim card goes in, see if any of the pins are pushed down in comparison with the others...
If yes try with a ''pin'' (the pointy one) to lift them up, very carefully because they are fragile.
Now insert your sim back and reboot.:highfive:

if I were to lock the bootloader, sony companion could repair the problem of not recognizing the SimCard ..?

I have a problem with a xperia L c2104, release the bootloader with flastool (imei flastool me that gender was not my device) the device was semi brick, flashe a ROM stock TFT and start the mobile system remained without recognizing the mobile network (emergency calls only) How can I solve this problem?

I've never heard of this before and it seems extreme that you could lose IMEI number just by flashing a custom ROM. What method did you use?
I would have assumed fastboot flashing stock firmware should solve this.

Hi Sorry for late reply but I lost internet connection on Saturday morning.
When I have been doing some stuff in CWM recovery, had system and data partition mounted.
Then done rm -R * in root dir.
At this point I thought that my current dir is tmp.
After this I lost wifi and IMEI.
I manage to sort out wifi but not IMEI code.
Do you know how to fix this?
Since that I have been re-flashing stock rom and CWM rom but none of them help.
Chris
anyone can help to recover IMEI ?
Thanks
Changing/manually setting the IMEI is illegal afaik. And afaik assisting someone with that is also forbidden here on xda. We used to have a similar problem on the phone I came from, and there was a app which let you backup/restore your IMEI. You need to have a backup in order to restore it so this won't really help you...
This is what I'm talking about: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1591997
Edit.: There actually seems to be a way to manually set it but I'm not sure if it is device-specific.

You can find your Imei on the back of the phone.
If you google android 4.4 set imei you should find something from technostall which might help you
Good luck
Yes, it's on the battery.

I solved the problem, place to charge the phone, let him take some of the load and flash the original ROM, after that flash CM11, and run perfectmente, I think at first it was because I had done without the SIM, the second time you make with the SIM sunset ...

Yes It Does for most of the devices given you should know the proper method.
Mtk is different. It's not the same thing.
Any news?
Also I think the problem is that the imei is on the phone just not on the OS? (obviously, but...)
Maybe when we all reflashed to the original stock (and countless other stocks) they just didn't have the proper folder to access in order to identify what imei they're assigned?
Because every single time I've tried to manually rewrite the imei to it all the methods I've used are futile. Even the ones specially tailored to the Moto G's hardware SnapDragon - Qualcomm...
restore IMEI by Motorola service?
Same problem for me. I am really interested in some experience about restoring IMEI.
Motorola support phorum owner replied that Motorola service can recover IMEI (not covered by any kind of warranty of course).
I have tried to reflash factory ROM with and without inserted SIM card, but unfortunately no difference.
I have seen looking for solution, that for some people Android system sees IMEI=0, but the IME is still untouched using fastboot mode and "fastboot getvar" CLI command
For me it's empty using the "getvar" command as well.
The official service center in Germany told me that they mustn't repair selfmade imei problems :S
Lost IMEI
You could all try this new method claimed to be working but as I have not lost my IMEI I can't say, please report back if it works for you?

Fix baseband version and imei unknown

Hey guys, this is the first time posting here and I hope my problem will be solved.
Yesterday, I was flashing a bad rom in my Sony Xperia C2305 that didn't work. I'd backup so went to Cwm and recovered my stock rom but after recovery SIM cards were not working, after searching a lot I came to know that baseband version and IMEI were messed up by bad rom and they both are showing unknown till now.
After searching the whole day, I came to know that it can be fixed by flashing ftf firmware so I download both latest and old firmware. But I couldn't flash those firmware with flashtool because of CWM recovery.
So, I tried to remove CWM and get back to stock recovery and I came to know that only odin can do that but there is another problem with odin. It simply needs pda, csc, phone files which I can't even check by dialing *1234# because of SIM error.
Now, if someone can help me to get pda, csc, phone file I can proceed, other than this, I have extracted the ftf file and found recovery-sign.sin file, if somehow it can be converted to img than I can recover my stock recovery with mobile uncle app.
I also tried to write imei with mtk droid tools but it didn't work and not even writing imei with terminal worked.
Except this all, I have also brought volcano box from my friend which can also be useful, I'm checking it out now
Please anyone who knows the solution for my problem please guide me to fix my phone and yes it has still 8 months of warranty but it's rooted might not work.
Sent from my C2305 using XDA Free mobile app
The only hope you will find here is flashing a stock package as touching the IMEI in any way is illegal and banned here.
Sorry, I didn't know that touching IMEI is banned here so regards flashing, is it possible to flash ftf firmware with CWM, if yes than how?

[HELP] Derped by new Z3 (or maybe it's SIM Locked)

I broke my Z3 and got a replacement a few days ago.
After I flashed pre-rooted 23.4.A.0.546, linked here, the he replacement shows the dreaded Invalid Card. Emergency calls only:

I never tested the device, I went directly for the root, ZX discovery and pre-rooted flash.
As quick explanation:
I got the device.
I never inserted a SIM, I immediately followed the instruction to root a Z3 with a locked BL:
- downgraded phone with D6603_23.0.A.2.93 ftf linked here.
- ran giofroot exploit. used v3.1. had to run it twice.
- mounted /system rw with ES Explorer.
- installed Z3 Dualrecovery for locked BL.
- then flashed 23.4.A.0.546 linked here.
Phone turned on without a hitch.
When I placed the SIM, I noticed the Invalid Card notice.
Tried (and failed) attempts:
Since then, I've rolled back to D6603_23.0.A.2.93.
Installed PC Companion (eeew) and done a system repair.
Downloaded the latest firmware from xperifirm for Telcel's branded ROM.
nothing. device still says Invalid Card.
a few screenshots that might help someone get a better understanding of what happened;
can anyone confirm if I have a SIM-locked device or if I flashed the wrong firmware?
How can I roll back? what measurements can I take to better understand the problem?

Maybe this is important; when I downgraded the first time, I checked the following exemptions:
- KERNEL
- FOTA
- BASEBAND

You did it wrong. NEVER check to exclude FOTA BASEBAND AND KERNEL.
baseband is what controls the radio (network) and it is very important. Flash again properly and don't check anything in exclude, but ALL in WIPE. In downgrade you MUST wipe everything.

Thanks.
Is there a way to know which carrier is locking the device? Besides trying Sims from each carrier, I mean.

No, but it is not probable that it is simlocked. It is almost 100% because you have wrong Baseband / Firmware combination. The older firmware (downgraded) does not support newer baseband you left in the device unflashed.
so I tried two different flashes including FOTA, BB and Kernel;
- D6603_23.0.A.2.93 from the original OP.
- latest firmware from xperifirm for Telcel's branded ROM; 23.4.A.0.546
in both cases, i left the entire Exception section unticked.
in both cases, after initual bootup, I still get the "Invalid Card." warning.
I'd like to start discarding possibilities.
- can flashing affect SIM lock? either way, locking or unlocking devices? My understanding is that it shouldn't. Could someone please confirm?
- is there a way with which carrier the devices is locked? The screenshot shows a [X] on network lock with a 5.
is there a way to find out that does not involve getting SIMs from every carrier?

Flash only firmware from XperiFirm. Others of unknown origin can be provider specific. However, the SIM LOCK is firmware independent.
I omitted some of your pictures. The X mark on Network means that is IS provider LOCKED and you have 5 retries to enter unlock code.

Help plz!!! Only Jio Sim working!!

i am from india....i have OPO(Rooted+MultiRom) from jan 2014...no problem so far..
last monday i got 3 Jio sim card.
for me (OPO) , my bro (Brand New Redmi 3s prime) ,my friend(YU Yureka)
they have given 2 sim without Barcode (bcz...both of our generated Barcode was expired..)
we inserted sim in primary slot and
after One hour all three sim activated and getting signal nicely.
but now..(all three phone have same problem)
when we have tried to insert other operator sim in this particular slot , it shows "No Service" and getting error like "there is a error in searching network"
i tried my best to resolve issue myself but no luck.
i tried flashing different Roms(LP/MM/Naugat), Different Modem and tried IMEI changer app too but no luck
i contacted local Jio center but they says "issue is in your end...claim on your phone's company"
i called Jio customer care they said "after 90 days your phone's slot will be automatically unlocked"
i googled alot on net but many blog admin says it is rumors & and fake but we are suffering from such a serious issue in real...and if somebody want to help i can upload video of this issue.
so My question is.... Is Jio is blocking phone from using other sim??
if yes..then why and how to overcome this issue??

Try switching slots in your friends phone and the bands ofcourse.
Hope it brings helped. Thanks

for me (OPO) , my bro (Brand New Redmi 3s prime) ,my friend(YU Yureka)
they have given 2 sim without Barcode (bcz...both of our generated Barcode was expired..)
we inserted sim in primary slot and
after One hour all three sim activated and getting signal nicely.
but now..(all three phone have same problem)
when we have tried to insert other operator sim in this particular slot , it shows "No Service" and getting error like "there is a error in searching network"
i tried my best to resolve issue myself but no luck.
i tried flashing different Roms(LP/MM/Naugat), Different Modem and tried IMEI changer app too but no luck
i contacted local Jio center but they says "issue is in your end...claim on your phone's company"
i called Jio customer care they said "after 90 days your phone's slot will be automatically unlocked"
i googled alot on net but many blog admin says it is rumors & and fake but we are suffering from such a serious issue in real...and if somebody want to help i can upload video of this issue.
so My question is.... Is Jio is blocking phone from using other sim??
if yes..then why and how to overcome this issue??
can anybody make patch/mod or xposed module to get over this issue??
any Help will be appreciated.. _/\_

try creating a new APN for the respective sim operator, because when i got my jio it didnt have signal even after activation, creating an APN resolved it, maybe this method will work for other sim operator also.

Just do a clean format with other sim injected. Or just continue to use jio.
Try flashing cm-firmware /modem with the other sim injected.

i already stated in OP that i tried my best to resolve issue by change/reset network settings, clean flashed different Roms with different android version, changing phone identification by Phone faker and imei change....but no luck?

I am going to give you a solution but i dont know if its going to work or not and i am clear here with I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU END UP WITH A DED PHONE.
May be your mobile phone got changed its IMEI number with lyf handset by mistake or may have done it ( i dont know that).
Just try to enter your IMEI again in your device which need root for the procedure. There are plenty of tutorials and videos available over internet. So do it on your own risk and may be it will work.

No Network Issue after DC Phoenix Factory image flash

Hi All,
I bricked my phone pretty badly couple of days ago. It was not booting and was not allowing me to go to the recovery and also fastboot was not flashing anything at all. Even unlock bootloader command was failing.
So, as a last resort, I flashed my NXT - L29 with the factory image of AL10 from DC-Unlocker Phoenix software. Also after that I restored the IMEI and all other stuff.
Problem is that after doing that my phone is not picking up any network. It was showing sim locked initially which I unlocked using the codes generated by DC-Unlocker and the phone now is not showing locked to carrier but still it is not picking up any of the service provider's network. I tried Airtel and Jio (I am in India). Strange thing is that it is not even listing any networks when I go and search for them manually in network options. Not even in 2G or 3G specific modes.
To overcome this issue, I debranded my phone to C636 and C185 as well but the result is the same. No network.
I suspected that somehow the bands got changed from TD LTE to FDD LTE which is causing the issue as in India all 4G rpoviders use only TD LTE right now.
Now my question is that is there any way to get back to the TD LTE and should this effect 2G and 3G coverage as well.
Any help will be hugely appreciated as the phone is right now a brick even if it boots up and functioning fine. :crying::crying:
I don't know much about dc unlocker but do they have l29 factory image to flash?
What about the baseband in about phone is it showing correct and ur imei?

They do not have L29 factory image.
However, I already restored the imei and unlocked everything.

What was ur original region l29c...?
Did you use srk tools to debrand?
Check this link for how to debrand
Think the oem info is what is causing the problem.

The code in the link does not work on mate 8. May be they have just assumed that it should work and it might be a generic code. I found that link when I was looking for solutions and many more like this but they do not work. The codes mentioned on the most of the tutorials are not working on mate 8. I think USSD codes are partially disabled on our phone.

Contacted the tech support of DC as well. As per them this is a limitation of firmware flashed. Only solution as per them is to flash L29 factory firmware which they do not have. Or contact huawei.

Any Help will be most appreciated .
Have the same problem with my al10 and a g8 rio-l01
I repaired the al10 like you and flashed with the stock china rom (ota update work) but no service, the working code in al10 is *#*#6130#*#* not 4636 (you will se the phone is in VoLTE mode) but you can't do nothing, there is no service (i think we need to flash the radio)
For the g8 its an mea version repaired by the same way but this one got more problem it boot but with factory run mode and no service too
Hope we will find a solution (asked dc unlock team and im waiting)
