Are you rooted? AllianceFramework and Minit battery mod is both apple to do so. (Not sure about the ladder, but the first is, but is stated in the thread. Just not having time to check for now)

Thanks, I'm rooted but I think that ROM has to be deodexed...

I think you can use that app "Better Cut" to change icons on apps.

Possible to display % in Battery Icon - 2.2 Rooted?

Would be nice so I could see exactly how my battery was doing...Is this possible?
I'm running a stock 2.2 Rooted Odexed Official ROM by Netarchy with stock kernal.
You can do it in CyanogenMod.
I will be switching over to Cyanogen when it is finished (or when things like 4g work, etc)...In the mean time I'm OCD and hate having to have an extra app running to display my %age in the notifications panel...
oh to be normal....

I agree. I think the % mod for 2.1 was the most useful modification. I am running Battery Indicator from the market, just so I have something until a new % mod comes along.

Which mod did you d/l and did you recompile or whatever? If you can post the mod that worked with Fresh 3.1.0.1 and a screen shot that would be awesome. Thanks.
DL the HTC 2.2 its the last link in the first post. Most ALL apk's and moss can be ported straight over from the Desire. 90% of them are based off the same code......
I DL it straight to my phone and installed it with Rom manager no problems and no drama.

I tried that earlier and it didn't do anything, no change in the icon.
EDIT: I just tried it again and it worked perfectly. Thanks!!!

So you got it working on the new Fresh? Sweet~!
Did you flash it?
I posted the info in another thread:

When I flashed it manually it did not work. When I flashed it through Rom Manager it did.

Seems to be working flawlessly! I was worried because when I used koni's evoelite theme on 2.1 , I could never get the % to be accurate, this seems great so far tho!
Just flashed to fresh 3.1 works good...

[Q] 1% step battery for Gingerbread

Hi there,
Since most of the talks about the battery mod is taking place in this forum I decided to ask for it here.
I've been using the stock 2.3.3 Gingerbread (from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1106375) and I already tried a couple of methods of applying a mod for 1% battery increasement.
Putting a different services.jar has only made me restore the device
Anyway the question is - can someone post a method of getting the 1% trick?
There was a mod for Froyo made with libandroid_servers.so - perhaps someone can do the same for GB.
Thank you for help.
Mike.

Hi Mike, for you have batery status in 1% it's more easy install MS2Ginger of walter79, this Rom is better in many aspects and work 1%/1% battery. Read here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1140839

Thanks for the hint.. but I just forgot to say I don't want to install any DIY roms.
I'd rather stick to stock roms.

Maybe you could install ledefy (should be on market or somewhere at this forum)?

Hey i'm the creator of the NexGen Android ROM, and I think I know the problem. Its most likely the kernel, try this one and let me know, it should make it a LOT better.

So I decided to install HellyBean.
But thank you for your help and NextGen is excellent rom (except battery) and I look forward for newer version

Well, then you could flash another JB kernel
BTW, Good luck with HellyBean:good::fingers-crossed:
2-3 minutes? you're clearly not patient. You realize sometimes when you flash a new kernel it takes awhile to boot up? You should've given it at least 3-5mins for the first bootup.

If you are not using NFC then just delete two apk files from system->app
1) NFC
2) TAG
There's nothing wrong with the ROM or kernel. My ROM is AOSP, so it not booting up has to do with your phone. If you look at the thread, no one else is having a boot up problem but you, so please don't blame the ROM right away. You gave it 2 minutes to boot up after flashing a new kernel and then gave up on it.
You asked for help about the ROM and I'm trying to give it to you, but it seems you're just looking for a way out of NGA.
Like I said, nothing to do with the ROM, I'm running it right now with the same kernel as you, perfectly.

[Q] Should I flash another ROM?

Hi, I have Android stock. Should I flash another ROM or not? I need ti change Kernel?
Ask yourself
For example, on S3 was required to replace the TouchWiz. If the Nexus performs is better with another ROM l flash another ROM now.
Yes, flash cataclysm and code blue kernel

But is a beta version! :crying: I want it to go better with stock Android.
If you need extra features then do so. If not, I do not see the point of it. Anyhow, I suggest you use multirom so you can easily try all those roms out there.
No, I do not think I serve other customizations .
Then this thread is pointless. Close please
This means that the stock is fine, ok thanks.
Personal preference. If your not happy with stock then get a root. I suggest rooting the stock rom first before you try roms tho. You have alot more options for customization to the stock if you do that.
OK thanks I understand, if I want another options I root my device or I flash another ROM. A Stable ROM!
